As with all motoring youtubers they look for cars that draw in the viewers and the £££. That's why some cars get bought and then sold quite quickly. The GR Supra is a prime example; suddenly it was the "must have trinket", but when it's flame started to die they immediately tried modding them for popularity. When that didn't work, "the I'm selling my Supra" videos got dropped. These cars are a business to the automotive youtubers. To us, cars are either a necessity or bought from a love of the car. It's a different world. I suppose it does keep the content fresh and interesting so it's all good in the end.
@@stubones That's true, but of those youtubers Sam is more on the other end of the spectrum, he tens to keep the cars more times, and even if he sells them, you can se he gets more attached to them. you can clearly see here, that if it wasn't for needing money for his business he would probably keep it, and that was probably the plan before covid hit

I’m probably wrong but if I was in the market for a 911 I would be inclined to pay more if it still had the full drive the world livery and that story clearly part of it ...

Archie Hamilton is a very dislikable immature little knob. After watching him once, I swore never again and when I came across him on a TGE video, I unsubbed from TGE so as to avoid the little knob.
@@GenaF similar here. Tolerated him for a bit but a video where he claimed in the title that his Lamborghini had been vandalised, when it hadn't, was the final clickbait straw for me. Whole video was just a desperate scripted excuse for some views. TGE was better but Archie was in his videos so much I stopped watching him too.

For the video, it was a great review of the A110, and with the added mods, it is now a great driver too. Excellent review, great camera angles and superb presentation. Hi Sam, just curious, do you know if the transmission in the a110 is able withstand the added newton meters of torque? The Getrag 7DCT300 gearbox is designed to cope with 320nm. That is why the A110S only has an increase in horse power but leaves the torque figure untouched. I am sure the standard a110 engine will be able to handle the extra 50 horse power, but I am afraid that the life span of the gearbox will be compromised when adding 60-80nm. I guess that some gearboxes have quite a safety margin and the test of time will tell whether they are able to handle the additional power. Still not sure whether it is worth the risk considering that Getrag gearboxes are notoriously expensive. Any thoughts or insights? Did Litchfield provided you with additional information that might be helpful? Cheers, Max
Sad but exciting times! With losing the Carrera T it means that Sam can fund what he has planned, as he said! So I'm so excited for that! A year of joy but I'm excited for the next chapter! Experiencing the 8C from the passenger seat.... It's the most terrifying car I been in! Unforgiving and wants to spin you out! But the exhaust note is out of this world and the overrun is perfect! If you get a chance Sam, take it! You will not regret it 😊
Thanks to your videos with the carrera T, its now my goal to get a porsche 911. If I had the money I would totally buy yours but im still a few years away. Cant wait to see what car you get next.
Having actually seen this car in person in America/Canada, I agree it's kind of sad to see it go but at the same time it has served its purpose and it's time for it to go. For the record I loved how it looked with the wrap and rally lights etc on it. LOL
I've thoroughly enjoyed watching you and this car travel the world, it will be sorely missed, but as you say new car new memories. 😁. I'll be looking back on the drive the world series and reliving the good times. 👍 Looking forward to the new adventures.

Sam, just checked out the Gravelwood listing, interesting Tony has it listed as Green! Did you not tell him you were removing the mods! I thought it would be sold as the round the world spec! Totally disappointed you de-tuned, removed the decals and the car has lost its identity! Why? Would have been a real collectors icon, in the years ahead. The value would have been in the history. Aww this is so sad, Im gonna miss this car so much it's been my favourite motor, Off all the cars on all the channels, I was not a Porsche fan until the 911 T and your car, and now it is my absolute dream sports car.
I looked for a Carrera T in January but couldn't find one with a DK in my region. So I ended up with a regular Carrera with the proper options. Plenty quick and comfortable with the 14 way sport seats. Wish I would have bought a 911 earlier in my life than after retirement.
That 8C. It's so incredibly beautiful. One of my favorite cars. Did you take the exhaust and the performance bits off on the 911T as well? Keep up the great work. Can't wait to see what comes next.

Was it not worth putting it up for sale for a couple of weeks without the wrap/skin and extras removed. Somebody might have snapped it up as it was. Then if there's no interest, only then revert it to factory spec. Too late now.
Today i saw original Alpina, i was on my bike and guy in it saw me still turning my head on him. His look was epic, something like: "you now what this car is right"
A110 and Alfa 4c, great looking cars, unfortunately no option of a manual. For people who don’t drive these car daily I personally would have a manual for social/weekend driving.
Yes, the 8C is a masterpiece. I'm glad you gave it time in this video. Also, The 911 is a very nice car but now that you've sold it you can put money down on a proper 911, a Porsche by Singer.
Sad to hear the 911 is going. Of course, completely understand the need for cash flow but, having let a couple of classics go myself, I guarantee you will regret it once the cash flow problems are over. If it were me I’d let the 360 go before the Porsche. I bet Tony would agree.😉 Surely there is another (legal) way to raise cash. Good luck.
Started watching the channel because of the Alfa 4C. While the content has improved and your filming/editing are excellent, none of your cars have lived up to the 4C, for me.
Just curious, why do you need to remove the mods before selling the car? I'd be more interested in buying the car with the mods on (not that I can afford to buy your car)
@@stefanosassi I love the green. That's coming from someone who has a GT Silver Cayman. GT Silver is quite common, the green more rare. It's a shame the next owner doesn't have a choice. It would be bananas if the next owner just goes and puts the green peelable paint back on.
Guessing here. If the car is still owned by the finance company, and Sam's effectively just returned it to the finance company, then it would be written in the finance companies rules and regulations that Sam has to return it to standard when he gives it back.
