Why I moved out of my house to travel 3,000km & live in a 4wd from the 80's

I have the same hilux. It also has the old fashioned aircon called 4wd, (4 windows down). Never felt the need for A/C up here in Queensland. Open the quarterglass window and funnel the air stream into your shorts....better than any aircon. The heater also got pulled out 15 years ago, so in the mornings when the windscreen is fogged up, you need to drive with your head out the side window until it clears.

A bugger what can happen in 3 months. Head up. You'll make it

Bud, you are living your life. Never forget that, I have the opportunity to live my life the way I want as well and I am taking the same leap. Not traveling across the country, but its still 5 hours away haha.

Yeah some big changes for sure mate. Sometimes we have to take a leap of faith. My in laws came from Europe when my wife was a toddler with basically nothing. My mother was from New Zealand and one of our kids partners parents came through one of the worst genocidal events in modern history. We moved to SA away from family in Victoria decades ago. Life has a way of sorting itself out I've found. Great beaches over that way for sure and I will be getting my beach fix soon down in the Deep Creek conservation park and around Victor, Goolwa etc.

Good on ya mate WA is killer! I’m looking at doing the same at the end of the month but from Perth to SA and VIC. Scared is definitely an understatement being 18 aswell but bugger it, hope to see you on the road mate! Stay safe.

Nice mate it will be a massive change for sure, but you will see more places than just a river with the same scenery. I do the same speed in my Hilux on the road going somewhere, if people want to overtake that's up to them as we know these old Hilux's will chew the fuel if the RPMs are up but taking our time is better than rushing to get to places. But can't wait for the next video is up when you arrive to WA and to your new town.

Only you can make a decision like this and we are all here for you. Life can change quickly and sometimes you have to grab the bull by the horns. Other times we have time to reflect. Life throws up some crap and times and and we all have to react. Go with your gut feeling..... If that doesnt work life goes on and can be tough but does get better.

In the 80’s I lived in the northern flinders and aircon wasn’t a thing, but still survived😀 as long as you have cool water and a wet towel you’re good 👍
