Hi Jessica...Happy you are enjoying living in my birthplace. Last visit I had was at 15-yrs old, now 71. My Mothers was Panamanian so of course many relatives their. We are known as Canal Zone Brats. LOL...Growing up as children was the best in Panama. At my age still think if I should live my last senior yrs there. I have a new great doctor at the VA and I only pay for meds. Extra cost to move but have heard reasonable. We ate lots of Mangos as kids. Told they keep you young. I still dont look like Im 25 but not blaming the mango. I just finished Panama 101 which I thoroughly enjoyed so thank you for doing such a great job with that. It's like your my sister from anutha mutha. My wishlist is almost identical to yours AND I also worked on a cruise ship. I expect to visit your beautiful, exciting country for the first time within the next few years. I found a little condo on the beach with a pool and gym cheap. I am a snow bird, is the busy season in the winter or summer or is it popular all the time? Good vid all the x pats tubers bragg on how nice everybody is. A 70 year old black lady said she sees no prejudice and she is treated equal in panama. This lady fell and broke a bone and the locals swarmed her with care and took her to a doctor she said that really touched her.
I loved Panama for the same reasons you do. I'm still considering it for early retirement. Hopefully the metro finish getting built by then. I'll have to keep in touch with you. Question, do you own your apartment? If so, how easy is it to buy a home there?

I am curious about the less metro areas and also the yachting industry there. I am an American skipper who loves to sail and the ocean as well as mountian bike. So I would be more curious about some of the less populated areas but still within close proximity (lets say 2hrs) of some of the yachting industry areas.

Hello. When will Panama open its borders and flights into the country? I had a trip planned in May 2020, but it was cancelled due to the crisis. Any hope that I might be able to visit Panama soon?
As of today, they're planning to open on October 12. They'll require a negative COVID-19 test result that is no more than 96 hours old as of when you get on the plane.
Same here. Had my tickets bought and all to go visit my mom and Covid put a stop to that. I do need to go and see my mom who I haven't seen in 3 years. You also have to think about coming back into the US. Will you be required to quarantine? Hope not.
