In this video I give you three reasons why never ran a load for Uber Freight. I explain the number one reason is the low rates and how they where to low. And two of the reasons why never ran a load for them. Overall my conclusion about Uber freight is that they’re not beneficial financially to entertain.

As far as their taxi drivers go Uber is sticking it to them harder than ever. There’s no reason to believe Uber will treat truckers any different.

i can testify to that , they legitimately lie to both the driver and the client about the wages and keep a cut for themselves!! how they haven't had class action law suit is beyond me!

No they are just getting worse bad and they're throwing different things out there to see what's going to stick to me they're flailing and they're going to be out of business they're not being shrewd there being idiots these are people that want money fast they're not in it for the Long Haul those are the kind of people I would not want as an investors or anything to do with the company but they are destroying it nonetheless. Apparently all they need is a mirror to see if you're breathing apparently.

Good video. The only loads I move for Uber freight are the hot loads. Rates are pretty decent

I had a load from Muscatine I.A. to Boulder C.O 38,000lb load paid 8.17 per mile. This was not on uber freight. I did run a load for Uber 41,000lbs, it was paying 1.05 a mile

I used to Uber taxi and it was not worth the money if you factor all your cost. Good money on holidays or special events but over all a waste of time. So, I can't imagine they would do us truck owners any better.

I agree, the rates for UBER freight are low - to have your own trailer, plus taking into account the time to live load and then live unload- without negotiating???? Its unsustainable, they don’t even match the rate check. I rather do drayage

Uber know exactly what they are doing to the trucking industry. The same thing they did to the Taxi industry will happen to the trucking industry. The price will Go down to nothing. $ 90 cents/ a mile .

For Uber to be $1 billion company and to come in to any space such as the trucking industry with rates as low as they are I find it very disrespectful to the trucking industry that they did that...
@wallacemackay7562
@wallacemackay7562 5 лет назад
Haha, well, if you can't get better rates than the load boards, or their load base is so small, you have to deadhead hundreds of miles, you're dead and out of business. Many Brokers fail because they don't know how to negotiate the best price with the shipper. You cannot sell loads to an owner op. for just any rate. I can smell a newbie in just 1 load. Cheap, with no negotiation is death.

I am guessing Uber Freight has a long term plan to get some shippers used to working with them so they will have a base when (if) their self driving trucks come online. I predict that at some point they will invest in fueling stations where the self driving trucks can drop a load for local delivery drivers. It is much easier to drive on interstates. At first they will have driver accompanied loads and have the person take over for pickups and delivery.
@onerich8876
@onerich8876 6 лет назад
I like the idea but because we were behind it I know it’s not going to benefit us as drivers I really wish Amazon their position because they have the driver in mind.
@truckerdaddy-akajohninqueb4793
sleepy314 Self-driving trucks won't happen. The machine will require a human. At best Self-driving could work intermodal. But one accident or disaster and insurance companies will make it impossible for them to operate
@sleepy314
@sleepy314 6 лет назад
@Trucke3r Daddy ... yeah, the insurance companies could have a say. But there are a lot of truck and car accidents today, and the insurance companies don't seem too upset.
