it is an ancient fighting technique that creates shock and fear....in my case it would be laughter and repulsion.... my wife use to be afraid of the dark, she saw me naked, now she is afraid of the light......
lol...I sleep naked to get the upper hand in an intruder situation they will be in awe of my glorious body giving me more time to react to the threat :)
Claim any but-stuff was done in self defense. It'd teach any would-be thief a valuable lesson on why jail is called "hard time", "The pokey", and "The slammer". It's difficult to imagine teaching home invaders life lessons would be frowned upon considering the use of lethal force is legal.
Edward Snowden cali has pretty okay knife laws tho. even switchblades and balis are allowed, albeit at 2". Otherwise no blade length laws, both fixed and folding
As a child. I'd think of, what the fuck do I do if I'm taking a shit and the fire alarm goes off. Since my bowls are mean and take half an hour. Will I rather sit and burn or run out with muddy buns of shame?
I’ve honestly never really considered plastic knives as an option of any kind, but after this video I’m really starting to rethink my stance on plastic knives. Obviously it’s not gonna be an edc (like you said) but it could definitely be effective, and I never really thought of it like that. Hats off to you sir👌
I don’t know. I can see those push daggers being self defense EDCs. Small enough to hide really well, and really just as effective as the metal type since they are stabbing implements.
This instantly made me think of the Poop Knife story from Reddit! Whenever i hear knife and bathroom in the same sentence, or even paragraph, i automatically think Poop Knife. That damn story has warped my mind. Once you read it, or hear it, theres no going back either 🤣
@@cutlerylover u still convinced and thu . I never knew those were a thing . I wonder if they really cut like actual knives an if they do I'm surprised no 1 is sneaking them into prisons
You forgot to mention that the thick ceramic cover to the toilet tank is the best weapon already in the bathroom. I keep one of these plastic shanks in my shower, but if I'm on the pot and someone's getting funny they're getting beat to death with the tank lid.
I keep a #1000 box of plastic cutlery with napkins + salt & pepper next to the toilet. Extra security: add a couple bottles of Tabasco, peanut oil, and a baguette.
The nice thing about the ring is you can add on some kind of paracord, rope, or survival bracelet to make the retention of this knife totally solid. Everything about that design is just great for the use or application.
I was thinking these might be used as poop knives. That is not a practice I have in my family but apparently some people need a knife to cut up their movements before flushing.
I keep a cheapy folder in the drawer next to the toilet; it's surprisingly good as for a cheap knife; no play, sharp, nice click when it locks, and I've actually used it a few times to open packs of soap etc.
You had me worried there for a minute. Had no idea where you were going. The thoughts that came to my mind were... well never mind. lol. Never thought about using plastic knives for self-defense at home. Some great ideas.
I just bought fgx push dagger cause i thought this was a training knife. But right after i got this, i realized if i train tmwith this thing, me and my friend would hurt seriously. these are like aztec stone knife. Freaken sharp. And i am so mind blowed that you use this home defence in bathroom. Wow. Thanks for the real good idea. This will cut well and not gonna rust!!
Nice, i always have a karambit and cold steel ti-lite XL in my toilet and a short tanto and hunting knife inside the shower room, katanas scattered all over the house and foldables everywhere with 2 fox knives dart and karambits on my pockets everywhere i go plus dozens of foldables
I have one of those Walmart "bait" knives hanging with fishing line from my shower head. I put a razor edge and a little oil on it and it's been there probably 3 years and hasn't rusted. You can also always take a cheap knife, sharpen it and dip it in paint
"The reality of the situation is nobody's looking to get past metal detectors with these"...... me. Over here, just completely analyzing my life after that being my specific purpose for looking up plastic knives.
Useless for slicing I guess, not for stabbing (jabbing). Plastic push dagger doesn't seem so bad idea, actually. But I can't find this option to buy in my area, alas.
I keep a Sig P238 stored in a small Seahorse 56 Micro waterproof box in my shower. I work from home, and always carry, so no worries when sitting on the throne.
I have one in my get home bag, under the seat of my car and in my travel trailers storage compartment, light, impervious to heat and moisture, require no mateniance. I may never need one but if i do it'll be there. None in the bathroom though. The rings werent enough to satisfy NY, they'll still nail you if they catch you with one.
Well, you're certainly well prepared. Just to add on a revolver at the bottom of the home swimming pool should'nt be an issue compared to semi-automatics even while bathing in a river 4' deep just tie a paracord to the trigger guard and let it dangle at your calf while skinny dipping in the river/near shore, be sure to spray it with silicone spray before you do that. As for steel knives i believe those blackout blades should'nt be an issue to rust with silicone sprayed. My Gerber Guardian 2 backup since 2000/serialed no. has stood the test of time even 2 weeks saltwater without rinsing. In my case being naked is'nt vulnerable i'll chase down any intruder naked or not without a firearm/knife...i'll make him naked. Another good item to stash for home defense are pepper sprays in the vanity, kitchen cabinet, below your sofa cushion, in the garden shed, should'nt be an issue immersed in water using a ziplock bag in the flush tank of your toilet too. Being armed 24/7 is my motto...wherever I may be .
Low-priced stainless steel knives with high corrosion resistance/high nickel & chromium content (304, 316, etc) are also a good option for long-term storage high-humidity environments. You don't need the finest, top-notch blade steel in a defense emergency, you just need a knife that works. They're cheap, so you just inspect them once in a while, and replace as needed.
„...it involves the toilet“ - that got me hooked.... and that is why I noticed I‘m looking at a video of you, not from any random knife making channel :D
I keep bear spray in my toilet tanks...it's in a ziplock bag. In my living room I keep a .38 Walther in the back of a Teddy Bear pillow that stays on my couch...and other similar precautions.
Have someone really passed metal detection rack with such sort of plastic items? Asking because i sometimes accompany my fiancé at nights. She works in the office building and they have a rack there. If I just wait outside - there is nothing to go, it's hard and boring to wait. So usually I wait her in a lobby. They allow me to enter once I've showed my ID. But then we go back on foot and I really don't like the area we go - narrow deserted street, very long with no intersections. Tall concrete fences goes along the both sides of the road. Any shi# might happen. Another reason I don't want to bring cold steel with me it's because it's not legal in this country. So, not much options left. Any ideas or advice? Thanks, gentlemen
I was just at the sporting goods store and they have wooden knife and sword and axe cutouts just saying for martal arts training the small ones obviously the big ones aren't to scale but magnum enterprises makes some cool options for training
@@cutlerylover yea that's true guess I was coming from the knife guy point of view where we would already have some knives didn't consider the newer people in the hobby where this option would make sense and we'll can't go wrong getting into newer type of knife
İ dont know if you see this but İ want some help about this. İ want to buy a Tai pan like on the video. İ want to know that is it Sharp and can cut some stuff and pierce objekts
It will show up on an X-Ray scanner as a knife shaped object. Trying to carry a “ weapon” thru airport or Government Building security risks arrest and possible imprisonment. Bad idea!
Wait are these actually lethal? I'd like to carry this rather than buy a firearm. We usually get mobile snatchers on bikes around the bad parts of the city
Definitely more lethal than a pointy stick. The blades on some of those knives are sharp enough to cut skin, although they dull quickly so they are best for 1 time emergency use or training for a real blade. Anything that has a sharp point can be used to inflict grave stab wounds if it is long enough, and these blades are long and thin enough for deadly stabs.
Plastic knife is no match for an RPG in the bathroom though. You could call it your toilet boomer... and use it as an excuse for the noises people may hear... yeah.... that’s my story and I’m sticking with it!
4:00 A little magnet would also be a nice option if these ringe are magnetic. Or just replace it with magnetic ones. In an emergency you will get them off of there for sure and you don’t necessarily need to mess around with some hooks :)
I use to film in stereo and while sitting behind the camera im moving from one side to another while I talk so I cna see what im showing...I no longer film this way since its an issue with headphone users...I didnt use headphones ever lol so I didnt see an issue with the videos audio until it was pointed out to me...
These are for emergency situations for the most part. In Germany you are more likely to come against a knife so instead of one of these blades that you can't even get, just buy a length of steel pipe at a hardware store - it's longer than knives and just as deadly and can keep people a distance from you without even needing to swing it. Pipes can also be used for various holds used in martial arts, in some cases you can choke opponents or break or dislocate bones and joints. Hell if the worst case happens just use the top of the toilet tank, it's generally pretty hard and heavy but it's single use so don't miss.
I live in a peaceful part of canada so kinda different culture here but does all of this make a bit paranoid. Asking respectfullyout of curiosity. We are not used to need weapons all over the house
I don't have small kids so I keep a knife that I can reach from the shower if I hear an odd sound like my door getting busted open. Anyway, it has a plastic handle and is branded a Tomahawk. It came in a scratch and dent mystery box, worth maybe $10 but it will cut.
So Jeff everyone’s thinking it , when we gonna see some mini Jeff’s running about Oh a side note 5:43 we’ve watched the truck stop bathroom story time video , we are well aware of the vulnerable toilet situations you have 😂😂
If you have to evacuate with a family and anticipate the possibility of entering a refugee camp, even for a few days, they won't let you take your K-Bar, but this may slip through
