Your vedios were a god send for a 19yo kid like me. Really got me into making my own gear and gave me the self belief that I surely needed. When you stopped making vedios out of the blue it was a shock but still i kept working on to improve my skills. Thank you for everything and more over thx for this update. I remember texting you asking about the same. Meanwhile live your life to the fullest. But do give us a tutorial every once in a blue moon when you have the time to do so. Would love to see a plate carrier vedio next based on the Warrior Assault DCS whenever you have the time 😅 Wishing you best for all your future endeavours 🙏

The best decision "for you" is the right decision. The tutorials are a tremendous help but they are a lot of work and time as you stated. It's always good to see a person with talent and passion realize a goal that makes the most of both. Congratulations on the job and I'll gladly utilize resource and information from your new direction.

I just found your channel three days ago and immediately subscribed. If you still will be making useful learning videos it doesn't bother me that it is on a 'commercial' company site. I retired from my job this time last year. I designed medium tech industrial electronics for 37 years, 12 years for the first company and 25 years at the last one. After 10 years at the first company (not totally happy at that time) I started up my own business, working full time and part time on my own business. Then a job for senior electronic designer opened up the at the second company. I go the job and ended shut down my own business. That job became my last job. I was able to do the kind of work that I loved without having to deal with the business side of having my own company. And while there was stress and bad times, I never regretted my decision. I think you made the right decision and I am happy for you.

Hi man. Sorry to see you go. Just discovered your channel. I had a creative type business for 10 years and i loved it. Even though it was very hard at times i loved what i was doing. In the end i gave it up because it made "practical sense" to get a job to better provide for my wife and 2 kids. Its been just over 2 years now since this "logical" decision and every day i regret my decision and on top of that there is this growing resentment twards my wife as she was the one that pushed me into stopping. Im now on a full blown mission to get out of this job situation and get back to doing what i love to do - to create!! Maybe its different for me maybe you are happy with your choice. Ill say switch off all media and go dark by yourself atleast a few hours a week and really think things through and make sure you are following the right path. "Remember tomorrow....." All the best man you are the only person that know what is good for you. Good luck.

Getting a work life balance is REALLY hard. Especially if you want to also have a family and may be exercise. its a real skill to fit everything in. Perhaps a few gear reviews or refinement summaries. The basic assembly is done. People can see the past videos for that. It would be interesting to review your own designs. Since you might then go on to refine and improve that. Your thinking in this may be helpful. Also what basic tools / fabrics does one need to keep stock of. To run your own sewing shop. Whether you do it professionally or as a hobby. Tips and tricks like that are helpful. For example I did not know that you could use adhesive tape when assembling or sewing materials and zips. It is so neat. I like that.

I am a machinist by trade, and gunsmith by hobby. I got a job in weapons development, and now my hobby is my job, then it wasn’t fun anymore. So now I’m a gunsmith and sewing is my hobby, now I’m just starting a hobby business sewing, hope it doesn’t become my job because then I will have to take up machining as a hobby. 😳

I think it isn't the job that destroys the enthusiasm about the passion with what you fill it. It is the conditions itself, like collegues, customers or the job situation. My hobby now became job and it doesn't feel like work because the conditions are optimal and my collegues are the best team I could ever wish to work with!
