Loved this! Fellow former electrical engineer here (IBM). Also saw how unhappy my peers and upper management seemed, so I quit and grabbed a one-way ticket to Thailand. :) I did it in 2006, one year before The 4-Hour Workweek went big. It was Tim's buddy Rolf Potts (Vagabonding book) that pushed me over the edge. Also had my early sites demolished unexpectedly by a Google update. Chok dee, krap!

@@MattDiggity I'd like to know the story from beginning to end. Specifically, why was that specific supplement selected? (i.e. the validation process) along with the minute details such as the domain & site design, marketing tactics & strategies (did you have an email list, FB group, PPC campaigns?), the point at which it was decided to sell the business. I suspect there will be tons of nuggets of wisdom that entrepreneurs can learn from. Thank you for replying, btw. I currently own/operate a 6-year old online business full-time and I'm looking to branch out to other niches. Your content is like a godsend to me!
