I’m about to be discharged from PT. Compared to the beginning of this year it’s amazing. But it’s still not gone. I have moments where it’s uncomfortable and moments where it’s not too bad and I don’t think about it, but I still notice the urinary stuff and the pain. I’ve just learned that the pain I’m feeling doesn’t always correlate to needing to pee. So I’m able to sort of ignore it until I really need to. Honestly, the urinary stuff has been the most annoying part of the whole thing. Makes me nervous when I travel but I’ve managed to travel this year without letting it stop me.

Yea I remember when we spoke there was a lot of sitting & driving involved, plus some other stressors. Still sitting a lot?

@@fitalfa for the most part. I’ve been forcing myself to get out to my dealership lots and move around and standing a lot more when with my racing team. Certain foods and beverages seem to exacerbate it too weirdly.

The earlier that men come to terms with their pelvic pain having a stress and anxiety cause, the better. Yes, there are a ton of symptoms that come from the resulting pelvic floor muscle getting tight, but these are not the source. Treatment such as PT, massage, stretching, etc. are all very helpful to relax the muscles and mellow out your amped up nervous system, but these are not the fix. The number of people getting better using mind-body approach is amazing. (With the very rare exception of an infection, of course.)

Yes sir! All of these tools help regulate the nervous system & can used as a mind-body approach, it’s just they’re not taught that way & most of us men are disconnected from our bodies & emotions. There are other causes that involve infections & gut health inflammation that must be addressed. It’s just case by case. Appreciate you chiming in here & inside our group 🙏🏻

@@fitalfa But really how often are infections or gut health really the source of pelvic pain? Rarely if ever. While it’s always good to eat healthy, but being stressed out about what you eat and doing elimination diets or avoiding certain foods adds more stress and anxiety than it’s worth, in my opinion. And thinking that you have a mystery infection or inflammation and that’s the source of your pelvic pain keeps you focused on a physical cause that isn’t there which prolongs the issue.

@@andrewfleming86 We don't have accurate data of what the infection rates are because the conventional tests are trash. Some studies showed semen culture tests alone revealed a 60% difference in pathogens, which is actually scary & that's what makes this difficult to treat also. I agree that stressing about eating doesn't help, it still has to come from a place of healing & tuning into what your body needs. Knowing different tests exist, my suggestion is always to get the tests done immediately instead of waiting & wondering. The info about tests is usually not shared by most doctors but it's all available online.

@@andrewfleming86 I'll add this also correlates with people who's symptoms mimic sti's or have recurrent infections. It's still not the majority but again, the only way to know is to get tested asap.

@@fitalfa Are you talking about semen tests (prostate) or urine tests (bladder)? And please don’t take anything I write as being argumentative. I applaud you for bringing attention and guidance to people dealing with these conditions!

Intermittent minimal sense of urinary urgency. Prolonged sitting or acidic food or vitamin induced? Any thoughts?

Could be all of the above or any combination. I don’t have enough info

Does your 6 week program deal with healing tms/mbs? Just signed up. Lmk what I need to do next, I just downloaded the nudge app
@fitalfa
@fitalfa 11 месяцев назад
Hey bud, I am sorting out an error with the Nudge app because it isn't allowing new users to join. Should be resolved today. As for the tms part, it is about regulating the nervous system. the program includes somatic meditation & guided trigger releases with intentional breathwork to help regulate the nervous system. the other aspects are correcting posture & healing the gut, both of which can add stress to the nervous system & increase body-wise tension. Does this answer your question?
