I just finished rebuilding my own transmission in my garage. With the help of RU-vid it wasn't so bad. To me two weeks working on it in the evening and the weekends. Got a few thousand miles on it and it's shifting great. People make transmissions seem like magical places that you have to have magical skills to work with. It's just nuts, bolts, bands, clutches, and a few other things. They wanted 4 grand to rebuild it at a shop and my car is only worth 4 grand so I had nothing to lose except my time. My wife told me I could do it and she was right. I had to buy an engine lift, a transmission rebuild kit, and a few extra parts that didn't come in the kit.

Hey Tyler, Have you ever considered getting a large warehouse for all of your cars. Call it a car museum and charge $5-10 a head. If it’s a museum and for educational purposes you can probably write off some of the costs. Install a small cafe and you can also host cars and coffee at you museum which will drive foot traffic.

If anyone deserves this success it’s you! Love your transparency and great attitude and willingness to go through all this pain to deliver great and fun content! 👍👍

I drove a HMMWV when I was at Ft Hood, TX. I went through three transfer cases in my two years there. Following behind the torn up roads made by tracked vehicles really tore up the transfer cases. Several times it gave out in a mud pit and I had to be towed out. Of course, we were really hard on the vehicles during training. I was always cracking hub seals as well.

You've worked so hard!!!! You deserve the success!!!! But.. Take time for yourself! We care about you so much. We laugh with you and also sigh with you

Hey Tyler congrats on your RU-vid success…you definitely deserve it!! This video had me LOL, I think it’s the color dude, your mustard and mine had identical repair bills!

Helical gears always want to push themselves apart. I found that out when my Camry kept popping out of 5th. When I took it apart the entire gear train had about 1/4" play. It all became clear when I put a used transmission on and my gearshift didn't toggle back and forth when I'd get on and off the gas. I thought I had loose motor mounts.

Been awesome seeing you grow and get involved with so many cool things. Excited to see what is to come
