I've spent countless hours in Satisfactory telling myself "just one more minute to tidy up this assembly line..." Eight hours later, my alarm clock went off. 😂
For real! I've got a ways to go... I think the farthest I've gotten is hypertubes and blueprints. That alone has brought many hours of fun to my playthrough!
2400 h......and I have finished the space elevator at around 600 h...and then with the Satisfactory upgrade to; I do not know anymore, the next step after around additional 100 to 150 h. If you have never gone further than phase 4, then you have likely never played with all of the alternative recipse and Uran and Aluminium? Sorry than you have missed something. I have so many factories running on alternative recipse most will never use just because I CAN.
Howdy hi hi, I just started on satisfactory myself. I bought the game a few years ago. Tried it a few times but just couldn't get into the game play at that time. Now it's taking up most of my free time.
@@andyglovergames Yeah, I'm currently just trying to learn what I can while waiting on 1.0. Just started phase 3. So I'm working on crude oil harvesting et cetera.
It seems like there's an endless stream of new things to discover, and sometimes, it's just a new method or play style. I love the feeling of progression!!
I did approx 1400 hours during 1.5 years. Didnt get to nuclear. Then started a new play. Done 400 hours. Have small factories all over the map. I have 1 mod, Linear motion. Gives elevators. Love them. When 1.0 drops i will start over again. Find the game relaxing. Play for an hour every time i come home from work
Oh yeah I like having a lot of small factories. I usually end up having many outposts and then a few main hubs. The mega factories are awesome but it's fun to build a lot of small ones, too.
I Just looked through your channel and can I just say: What a hidden gem! Your channel is amazing and you deserve way more success man, keep it up and please keep giving us these beautiful, quality videos. ❤
I hope to be more consistent with my output soon... Sometimes my other hobbies distract me... programming and music, technology and cinema. Life is simply too interesting. But these kind words really have made my day. Thank you, I really do appreciate your comment! Cheers!!
I’m currently at 1,600 hours with about 1,000 hours in my first play through. By the time I was done with my first play through I had unlocked everything and got every achievement available. Very cool game, and I’m definitely looking forward to 1.0!
It truly is like no other! While there are many games that give the user such creativity, it is not the same level or vibe... this game connects with me the most!!
Thousands of players have 1000+ hours in Satisfactory, and it is not even released yet, still in early access. Until Sept 10 that is. Planning another 1000 hours once the actual complete game is out.
I have seen a lot of Satisfactory reviews or essays and gotta say few hit the nail on the head as this one, trying to carry over the spirit to potential non factory game players (And that in a pretty short amount of time). Well done :)
Thank you kindly! I like to play a lot of different kinds of games but I frequently gravitate toward a certain type of experience. If I can communicate the appeal of the Satisfactory game feel to a different crowd, that's a big win!
@@andyglovergames Same here. Now I got a mate who has never played any factory game Satisfactory on sale to play 1.0 with him. We‘ll see how that goes ^^
I've restarted Factorio countless times. I like the early game immersion going all the way back to Civ II. Once it gets tedious, I'm on to a new game. Once the map has been explored, that's the end of my patience.
I started playing either as update 3 came out or just before it. I've built, rebuilt, and restarted probably a dozen times. This game really is a satisfying experience. The name of it couldn't have been better chosen. If you're on the fence about whether or not to get it, just get it. You wont be disappointed.
The factory must grow. I made a mistake and decided to hop into DSP before factorio expansion comes out, and now I'm stuck for another couple hundred hours. Again.
I gave DSP a brief try but perhaps I'll need to give it another go!! I've heard only good things and I wonder if I need to put in some hours for it to hook me.
I'd love to see what they do with space combat and space stations, I love those aspects in games like Elite Dangerous and X4. I'll have to look into this update!
@andyglovergames Dsp is an awesome game, dude. Especially when you get to space tech and your first Dyson sphere... and you can cover entire planets with smelters... the scale is just marvellous.
I love simulation games or resource management games. and of course, factory games and satisfactory is my favorite. it's not as complex as the other ones I've played but the beauty of it is the customization. you can build factories with your own design. your imagination is the limit. seeing other's build will inspire you to build a version of yours. looking down on those monstrous factories you've built from scratch is just satisfying.
I totaly agree, It is brilliant. For me it is the immersiveness and first person perspective that puts satisfactory in my favorite slot. Other games do first person but none grab me quite like Satisfactory.
I'd give vanilla minecraft a B+ at best, but once I got into modded, there was no turning back. Definitely over 1000+ hours played for me. :D I've been meaning to give ARK another try, would you recommend it for a single player experience? I'm not much for PVP
Yes it is rare for a game to have that touch, you know in that right place! But Satisfactory is definitely hitting it. I just bought the game about a week ago and I already crossed 100 hours of gameplay. The last time I took such a liking to a game was Ark Survival Evolved and I have 1400 hours in that game. So I am pretty sure Satisfactory will likely at least cross 1k hours for me. It really is a wonderful game.
I still need to try Ark, I have a feeling it would be my type of game too. I'm glad you're liking it so far, that is a strong first week!! I hope you like what you are building!!
1930 hours, but kept running my pc through some (or many?) nights to compensate for my weak built factories. 10. September. 2 months and 1 day from now.
I have a media server that was partially specced with Satisfactory in mind. It's running a dedicated server which isn't very resource hungry (in the grand scheme of things; CPU draws single digit watts with it and all my other services running).
I just started playing a few weeks ago and I tell you what... I can already see how this game is going to take up just as much time as Cities: Skylines did since its release which is like 600+ hours.
Im currently only at 200 hours but I love the idea of building up a single world, just slowly improving everything one factory at a time i absolutely love it. Im about to finish my last project before 1.0 Twin towers of 1200 turbo fuel = 104 generators, proud of that one, will probably post it on reddit once im done😄
Ooh my, that is a lot of generators! I hope I get to the point of turbo fuel and beyond in 1.0, if only I could stick with one save game for long enough 😅
I have just over 700 hours in this game, I've never quite finished it though every restart I do manage to get closer and closer to the end. Furthest I got was getting the materials setup for Nuclear power and just never building the factory for it.
I've enjoyed over 650 hours in the early access version of Satisfactory, tier 8 has enormous challenges to overcome, I'm struggling to restart the game again from scratch.
2000 hours and still going. Just started a new one to refresh my memory of the early stage before 1.0 drops. I can't remember how many worlds ive made. Some just testing mods. but fully through once vanilla and a few times modded.
@@andyglovergames with u8 I'm not using mods, main thing I liked is flying and god mod. Now those are already in the game. I get tired of building towers to build refineries and big stuff. So just popping into the air is nice.
@@CountryAndProud Ooh, yes. Jetpacks are super useful in games like this, it's so nice to see they've added things over time that make the player experience top notch even without using any mods.
304 hours here - excited for 1.0 and planning to start over then. playing other stuff for now (what i want to do will require too many flower petals and it'll be free in 1.0)
@@andyglovergames Highways. A lot of them. Very high. Very ways, lol. I found the highest point of any naturally occurring structure, and then the middle-right corner of the world boundary and relocated my hub etc to there. (34 hours to transfer resources via 1 mk3 belt that was long enough, lol.) I had just unlocked the patterns I needed from the awesome shop and started on blueprints, and that's when I discovered you don't get your color cartridges back when dismantling, and also that I was going to need a /LOT/ of them. The main issue is I started that world with the promise to myself that I'd never use the chainsaw (to preserve the natural beauty). Sigh. In the meantime, I've been playing Outbrk, Beltmatic, and modded KSP1 (RSS/RO/RP-1 + Principia or vanilla w/ only kOS depending on mood). Anyway, great video. Happy gaming! :)
woah... first of all: Was totally thinking about a chainsaw-less run for 1.0 yesterday after seeing Stin Archi's Eden project again. (Bitz has a nice video on it if you havent seen it yet - very awesome base) Secondly, wow, highways and the explorer totally consumed my playtime after posting this video. It changes the game when you're able to traverse efficiently (without an overly complicated hypertube network -- tried in my last save, was quite a task). I didn't realize you don't get color cartridges back after dismantling, that is a bummer... I'll have to be more precious with my flower petals for now. Here's a sneak peek of what I've got going so far: imgur.com/a/5V62uB0 I'll have to check out those games. Thanks for the comment and cheers :)
@@andyglovergames Very nice. I see you made use of coated concrete, too. It looks good. I probably wouldn't need so many petals if I didn't add side lines to my road blueprints, so I'd guess that'd be about 3 times the cost of what you have there in my case.
@@xionix4 Oh yes, I bet getting detailed gets expensive fast... can't wait for the free customization 1.0 will offer. Yeah I'm really loving the coated concrete! It's a bit of a mess but little corners of my base are stating to look polished.
@@andyglovergames I could only afford the vic-20. But, I had a cassette backup and the 16k memory expansion.. so... :) I miss Byte magazine days load "satisfac",8,1
Cover Stain Studios is not an indie developer. They are owned by Embracer Group. Actually Coffee Satin is publisher as well They published for example Valheim
Worth noting too that for an Early Access game, it's in phenomenally good condition. Yes there are occasional crashes, but these are generally related to shortcomings of the user's PC capabilities, not the stability of the game itself. The graphics setting optimization is very generous IMO - I was running it on low with playable frame-rates (not good, but playable) on a very very old setup, and actually only had 4 or 5 crashes so far for the entire 250 hours of playtime.
Over 1k hrs here. Every few months I'll dump like 50 hrs while being COMPLETELY consumed by the game. I mean 15 hr sessions. Meal prep so I don't have to stop and cook.. Drawing out productions lines at work.. ABSOLUTLY CONSUMED. Then, out of nowhere, I stop and go "well all this feels very silly and kinda pointless. I'm done." Don't think about it at all for a few months. Then.. repeat. This is easily top 5 favorite game of all time. But I'm really not kidding when I say, if you have any ADHD or ADD symptoms. Be careful. This is the most addictive gameloop I've ever played.
That's very relatable, I sink deep into the Satisfactory lifestyle from time to time! It's quite a wonderful experience to be immersed in it, if I do say so myself!!
@@slumberspeak I'm happy to hear I'm not the only one who has this exact experience with Satisfactory! I don't have much time to spend playing video games (I work three jobs), so the most I can do in one session is about 8 hours (if I skip sleeping), but the way it consumes me and makes me forget about eating is unrivaled. I generally find it difficult to get back into the game, but once I get logged back in and reorient myself to my to-do list, I am beyond all saving.
just waned to add that this game dose not feel like its an early access at all i mean for my first 20 hours i didnt even know it was an eraly access so just buy it play it with youre friends and have fun
Yup 1162 hrs and counting 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 Would be a lot higher if I didn't work and have a wife and kids 🤣 but then I wouldn't have been able to build myself a nice PC either 🤷🏾♂️😁 "subbed" "liked" 👍🏾
I'd recommend checking out the community spotlights from the dev's live stream archive, andTotalXclipse has a ton of great factory tour videos too! Some very cool stuff. I should probably make a video tour of my newest factory, I think my longest running save is right around 100 hours, which I started earlier this year. In the mean time, I do have a couple videos up of my older factories, nothing too impressive. 😅
It sounds like you keep restarting at roughly the point in the game where the quirks of fluids become very annoying. Understandable! (Also the early-to-mid-game is where it's most captivating, I think, since there are so many little inefficiencies where your brain will see it and go "Oh yeah I can fix that in 10 minutes, no problem" and just keep stringing those together until it's 3am.)
I’ve started to mess around with fluids but yeah I mostly get really distracted with side projects, then I want to start over with all my lessons learned! But I’d be better off just sticking with the same save hahaha
@@apawhite I really haven't even gotten far enough for fluids to become an issue; I was still trying to figure out how to set up train stations appropriately!
i have 503 hrs on Steam + maybe 150 hrs on EGS (the game was EGS exclusive for a year). Never got the golden coffee cup for the final space elevator part 😀 Can't wait for 1.0
