I have both the AX and NP01, not the np01s. I love both of them. I cannot believe how natural the NP01 feels to grip. The AX is also a unique take on the typical ergo design. Quite innovative.
Couldn't agree more with everything you just said 🫡 I've not tried the NP01 but they're releasing a wireless version soon and I'm definitely going to check it out 😁
I really like that Vaxee, considering their origin, continue Zowie's legacy of coming out with original shapes that have clearly had a lot of thought put into them. as a (mostly) egg mouse faithful of almost 10 years though I just wish they made something that could rival the XD7 as an egg mouse with actual decent internals
10 years on egg mice, that's impressive! I agree. I think the egg shapes are underrepresented, we can hope Zowie or Vaxee have plans to release an egg shape in the future. I quite like the Zaopin z1 pro, and my first mouse for gaming was the orochi v2 🫡
@@Log_Pile my first egg mouse was a logitech g100s back in the day, still love the shape. why logitech haven't made a g305 superlight will forever baffle me. after the g100s I eventually got a wired gpro (the egg shaped one) a ninox aurora (lol, iykyk), then eventually a g203 after I moved countries. used the g203 until the scroll wheel stopped working consistently and I really liked it, especially for the price. the XD7 is my first wireless gaming mouse in 14 years of pc fps and I don't think I could go back at this point. it also made me appreciate how much of an impact a lower weight really had reason I didn't get the zaopin is just because the shape differs from the g100s/gpro/g203 shape more than the XD7 in that it's a little smaller in general. as for the orochi or g305, I just didn't want to faff around with buying new batteries or modding for lower weight lol only non egg mouse I've used for a while was a zowie fk2 around 2013 or so, it had the best mouse1/mouse2 clicks of anything I've used before or since imo
i have very small hands and was surprised at how well i could hold the outset ax despite its size, im not really one to be hyped for mouse releases but i am very much looking forward to the smaller variant whenever that comes around. even with it being large for me it felt comfortable and let me grip it how i wanted, even if it was slightly clunky due to size!
even despite it being large it gave me (to some degree) the same benefit that other tilted back hump ergos (like the keris) give me which is that they give me good palm contact, but opposite of your case it doesn't fill the inside of my palm much so it allows me to have alot of in hand movement while also giving alot of stability which is a balance i struggle to find in any other shapes. viper mini can kinda do something similar but its much less stable due to being ambi and my hand not working with it.

@@Log_Pile I believe they are going to release it sometime this year, but I assume its quite far off considering how little we have heard about it thus far. (if you ask them on twitter they will say its in the plans for 2024 atleast)
@samster978 I really enjoy the way it feels, the versatility it offers in grip approaches. The EC feels like it sits under my hand, the AX feels like it is inside my hand. Such a different feeling, and I'm enjoying that at the moment.
I have the np-01s and somehow want the hump slightly lower, the front wider, &lower weight. Otherwise love the hybrid shape for relaxed claw 18x9.5. From all my research, looking next at the HTX.
its funny cos I grip the same way and love the hump placement 🤪 theres no logic to this mouse game! The HTX is a great mouse. I reviewed it last year 🫡
Oddly i had really bad click grinding on m1 when i clicked down and wiggled left and right. When i brought this up to VAXEE they said it was expected and showed the same issue on their end. Thankfully allowed me to get a refund but i really liked the shape at the end just sucks about m1
