I’m Tiffany and I taught in Nagoya, Japan for 2 years as an English Teacher. So this is my first video to give more perspective on teaching abroad.

Hi from AHN group! Thanks for the tips! I have always traveled and not bring anything but Pain Killer's but I did not know Nyquil and Dayquil were not allowed! Good to know just in case!! Subscribed! :)

animated jam it’s a business so you have to make monthly business goals such as selling books, extra classes, and get more students to join. As for housing, employee pays up to $550, and employer took care of the rest. Depending on where you’re located!

How did you store all of your stuff that you have at home in the US? It’s not like we can just order a container, put ALL of your clothes, papers, decorations, dishes, or whatever you got at home and then move it into a tiny apartment. Do you put it in storage? Cuz I don’t have family to leave anything with. And storage does cost money. And how do you prepare for life back in the US? Not finding a job again. Ugh I got so many worries I don’t know what to do.

Ayako Sumiokada Hi Ayako! Thanks for your comment. I downsized a lot before moving to Japan, sold all my furniture and kitchen stuff or gave them away. I only brought two suitcases with me to Japan and back. I didn’t keep too many things that were replaceable. Fortunately, I had my parents house to store some things at. And I continued to work as a substitute teacher when I got back to the US and now I’m getting my teaching credential to teach here. It might seems slow at first but make sure you have a plan before going back! You got this!

Be very careful about what medicine you bring to Japan. Some medicine that you can get in the US even without a prescription can get you sent to jail in Japan. They are VERY strict about drug use.
