Why I Use A Prayer Bible (My 4 W's)

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you ❤ l read the good book every morning before work and many times l wished l had it with me through the day. Now l can! Why I started a prayer Bible - because I found I’d gone dry and didn’t know what or how to pray in God’s will (which are prayers he promises to answer one way or the other). If I pray, asking with his words in my mouth I feel safe in the knowledge I’m on point. It certainly helped. I came across the idea to pray the phrases of the Lord’s Prayer. Our father= a series of verses about him as our father, how wonderful the heavens are, where his throne is, and verses about his holiness, and his name. etc. Take each idea and find it in scripture. That’s proved to be a rich seam.

I’d love to share something else I’ve seen recently: using Bible tabs (showing books of the bible) in a file or notebook and collect your verses and study notes for each book of the Bible. Obvious, but I usually tab topics not books in my file, so I might try that. I typically have backs of envelopes, sticky notes etc kicking around on the kitchen table trying to make it into my Bible or filing. And something like what I describe might help. I’m so disorganised😶‍🌫️

That was good to hear, thank you. Isn’t it fascinating how different people approach their time with the Lord differently? So sad to have stressed anyone, but you were so kind about it. For me, I felt you were declaring the verses as if they were the way it would be. I have an aversion to ‘declare and decree’ type of prayers because I feel arrogant praying like that, but I use the words as a petition and say , Lord, please may this happen or will you do these things if they’re in your will. I love the verses you have for your boys. And what a delight to be praying for the girls who will grow up into being their wives. That’s so beautiful. I’ve not finished my prayer bible yet, and already I want a larger one to fit more tabs! I’m going to end up with a desk bible fully laden, and a small carry version with a selection, I think. The size of yours looks good, and the larger type face we choose the thicker the book becomes and the more room between tabs ! Is your bible red letter text? I’m preferring all black because of my colour choices and my old eyes don’t find the red/pink is very distinct, especially in poor light. Same is true with small text. Another lovely thing to see was that you’ve lots of Christian ladies in your family. That too is a beautiful thing. I’m the only one at all now my dear old Mum died, but I have her bible and her notebooks. Sorry, didn’t want to bring a sad note. I can rejoice over her and pray for the others, and I have a section marked ‘saved’ with verses describing all the things God does that bring us to salvation, and then I pray that he has, or will do those things for my love ones. Dear Lord, please write their names in the book of life, please call them, and Father, please give them to Jesus, that none will be lost. Me and all my household! Thank you again

Oh! I have questions 😊 How do you note prayer requests that are more specific. Like something for a friend, neighbor, or something that is short term? Do you use a sticky for that and post it in the front of your Bible? Or do you have a notebook for this or? Also, could you please go more in depth on what you use your transparent stickies for? Thanks so much for another great video!

May I ask you a favour, or more specifically of any of the more elderly people in your family who do not have the best eye sight, whether they find the 7pt text of your compact Bible easy to read or not, please? I so like the size of it, but my eyes are past their best! I’m officially elderly I guess, retired a few years back (so they tell me!). Thank you so much.
