Agreed. It makes it a humbling gaming experience I’ve completed up to 2022 season and each season you have to ADJUST to your slumps and hit streaks. Hitting was mleasier in previous season and got way harder with better talent from previous season.
I know this video is old now but I just started playing all The Show games on dynamic difficulty. I felt like All Star was too easy and Hall of Fame was too hard. I gave in and I’m currently testing it out on the show 18 through 21. The weird thing is that in 20 it started me on all star which I thought was odd, all the other games started me on rookie. But I’m enjoying it so far.
Nice, glad you’re liking it! I kind of feel the same about being between All-Star and HoF so I’ve found Dynamic helpful for that. Hope you continue to enjoy it!
@@TitanJeff I hope so too! Yeah I found myself dominating on All Star, and then when I bumped it up to Hall of Fame my numbers would just nose dive and it was just not fun. There are sliders now that you can adjust how fast they adjust the difficulty, so if staying on HoF too long is a problem I can adjust that in the future but I’m testing it on the default so far. Currently on Veteran trying to work up.
I've always liked the video games of MLB the show but just can't get good at hitting and that discourage me but last year's MLB which was MLB the Show 22 to got me back into playing some MLB the Show games. I've using Dynamic till I get a little more comfortable with hitting
I also play on dynamic. Fun way to play but once you get to Legend of HOF on hitting or pitching and start to put up bad numbers, the game doesn’t move down levels low enough to get successful results again. I also play with the Angels and I’ve started 2-6. My pitching is ok. Only average 4 runs against per game. But hitting through 8 games is a bit of a challenge. Too many pop flys. Not enough hits to the gaps. Good game though. But once I hit Legend or HOF modes, it’s hard to win.
It changes how quickly the difficulty adjusts. So if you have the sensitivity higher, difficulty will change more quickly based on how you’re performing on your current difficulty
Jury's still out for me. Playing franchise with the Reds and for the most part I've enjoyed dynamic difficulty. 18-14 record thus far. However, started 4 game series with the Giants who were 10-22. They've now taken the first 3 games and it feels like they're a lot better than their record lol! I haven't produced the same offense output, and my defense has made some inexplicable errors. Maybe it's because the Reds really aren't that good? Maybe the game is true to the reality of what's possible with the talent on each roster. I don't know. It's fun, but frustrating when you split series with the first place Cards, win a series with the Mets (both on the road) then come home to get swept (potentially) by the last place Giants.
I hear what you're saying. For me, I think the fact that teams can play better or worse than usual is pretty true to life. You can have the best team in the league, but that doesn't mean you'll win every game in a season. Sometimes good teams lose games they shouldn't, and vice versa. Dynamic difficulty seems to best represent that reality to me. Thanks for checking out the vid!
