Just got my Le Duo. My hair is your length, but is naturally wavy. Should I blow dry it straight before using this tool? And I need some product recommendation for thick, course, wavy hair

What are the drawbacks that you see with lange air flow? I keep going back and forth of that too a curling iron. My hair is now at your length after growing out from years of a very short to shaved pixie. This will be my first heat tool in many many decades, 46 years old. I just want some loose beach fun sexy without much heat or effort waves. Cause other wise my hair is thin no volume and not thick. I feel if I don't give my hair a little SASS I will go back to that shaved look
