I may not understand everything, or share the same beliefs, but I think it is absolutely magnificent that you are so devoted to your wife and her wellbeing and safety. You do what you believe in your heart and soul to be the best thing to protect her, and that is something to be praised. All my best wishes to you and your beautiful family!
That's really beautiful having the husband praying for his wife and his child in this moment. That's the most powerful "job" he could do for them. Thank you for explaining this so lovingly
I'm Fatemeh, a 23 y.o girl from IraN, I was born to a Muslim family but I do not count myself a Muslim, I've been reading & researching about other religions one of which is Judaism, I find your channel very helpful & fascinating, thank you so much for making these videos & sharing your life with us , hope you guys are gonna have a happy life❤️🌷🥰❤️
Men say 3 prayers every morning when they wake up. One of those prayers is "thank you G-d for not making me a woman" How is this showing reverence to a woman?
I may not totally understand everything about Judaism because I grew up Christian, but thank you for explaining this stuff to me. I am of the opinion that the more someone learns more about others beliefs, even if they don’t agree with everything that is being said, the better that person will be in the long run and potentially become more understanding of how others see the world.
I LOVE the amazing Jewish traditions! You explain things so well and in bit size pieces! Funny how without knowing why people do certain things those reasons can be ASSUMED incorrectly and a negative slant can be put on a very beautiful concept! I stand with all Jewish people. Thank you for your channel! Love it so much!
You and your wife are such an inspiration you take torah and teach as pleasant and purposeful I love how you teach all 3 levels of understanding in such compact lessons
This is beautiful! Placing your wife, the bearer of your children in the hands of God during her (and your) most vulnerable time is amazing! Thank you for sharing!
Well I don't believe in Judaism. The reverence that you guys have for your women is astounding. My husband had to leave my side for a bit when I was giving birth because both times I almost died and medical intervention was necessary. All he did was pray. I truly believe that helped.
Judaism is such a beautiful faith. The respect you have for the women in your community is just so inspiring. Thank you for sharing your story. I LOVE to follow your family to learn more about such a wonderful faith.
That's actually really beautiful. I don't like it for me. My husband was the only one in the room besides the staff when I gave birth. It was a touchstone for me. But I love the symbolism and reasoning behind it
Thank you for sharing such a special moment in your family’s life and for sharing your faith ,and customs so openly. It’s is truly wonderful to learn about Judaism !
I could tell how moved you were, emotionally, just in the description of it so we can understand. Moved to tears because your Love of God and your faith means so much to you. God Bless you and your family. I’ve always wanted to know more about the Jewish faith and you and your wife describe it (almost a teaching) so well. This is Kat and I really enjoy your RU-vid channel as well as @Frumitup
Congratulations! Best wishes to your family. I’m so happy for you. There is nothing more precious than a new baby to snuggle. Love and best wishes to you and your family ❤
Blessing on your family and the birth of your son. Thank you for teaching us why things are in the Jewish world. My mothers family is Jewish but I was not raised in its beliefs and my mother would never tell me why. So thank you for your insight it has taught me a lot. Blessings.
This channel is amazing! Your life is filled with beautiful and enduring traditions, and words, and it’s a privilege to view them as you share. Thank you so much.
I’m not Jewish… yet. I love your explanations. They bring sense to something that sometimes seems not to have sense. Besides, it’s what tells us to do or not.
Not my religion but I appreciate the value of educating others! It is done in such a simple and matter of fact way. You rarely see this and it is so valuable in the goal of bringing understanding, tolerance, and respect in this divided world. These videos have answered a LOT of questions my curious mind has had. I appreciate the time they've taken to do this.
It's so lovely.... What a special bond and tradition ♥ BTW... what if any family member is with a wife during birth? When is the husband allowed after birth to be with the wife and baby? Ty for sharing your Faith I'm learning So Much
Thank you for explaining. Is another woman allowed to be with the wife in labour? I was alone due to circumstances and I remember feeling desperate and lonely.
Congratulations on a beautiful baby boy. Blessings to your family. I have just come across your channel. You explained Nidah well. I look forward to seeing future videos on Jewish life and customs. Bonjour.
Thank you for sharing so much information! I can see how this way of life is filled with meaning and purpose and I am definitely missing that it my life.
I respect your beliefs. I had taken a course to become an EMT and I wanted to be present and I got to actually assist. I didn't know this thing you just related to us in this video. As it would be, the doctor didn't remove all of the placenta, and several days later we were back in the hospital for an emergency procedure to remove the piece that was causing a great fever. Since then she was not able to conceive again.
That’s amazing you helped bring your baby into the world! So sorry to hear your wife had complications but it sounds like she is healthy now. So sorry to hear she has been able to conceive again. I pray that God will open her womb once again or provide a child for you both in another way- if you desire more children. ❤
My comment vanished so please excuse the double post. The beauty, peace, and warmth in your face regarding explaining rules is so beautiful. The creator made the rules to let love and safety FLOW and GROW not just mean rules to punish us or make us feel like we are in a prison. The WARMTH in your understanding of the rule brings tears to my eyes and I wish millions of people could see this video. The rules are for LOVE the rules aren't for rules. You are sharing the message of The Creator who loves us and made us in our NATURE, like you said, the man needs to pray, the woman's life is in danger, an Orthodox man has a very perceptive heart can he see his wife in such a painful state? Leave it to Hashem and the medical professionals to handle meanwhile his heart is better spent davening and not panicking or wiping away sweat from a brow or saying "I love you honey." The birth is for the women and God to be in union. Sending much love
Thank you for sharing your faith with us. I love learning about it. Please will you slow down speaking, it is hard to understand you because your speech rate is so fast? I don’t want to miss a word. Thank you.
I appreciate you and your wife sharing so much with us and allowing everyone to see a religion they may not understand.I am so glad that everything went smoothly with your sons delivery and thank you for sharing the beliefs around the sacredness of birth. As a trained doula I had a few questions, and please feel free to not answer them. I was wondering if your wife's mother or other women are allowed to be witness at the birth? And what does the father do if complications happen? What is the procedure if say the baby has to go to the NICU? Thank you for taking the time to read my comment
Mothers, doulas etc are welcome to be present. Saving a life is always paramount. I know a Rabbi who delivered his own baby at home because she just couldn't make it to the hospital in time.
Tara Jazdzewski.Other female/s can definitely be there and if there's no one else of course the husband or whomever is present will help.Dani's talking about under normal circs it's preferable for the husband to not stand right in middle of the action.Between you and me...do we really want them there right then? 😉
It makes sense of what you said and thank you for talk to you about the different subjects I have learned so much about Judaism in a positive way and it's nice with both you and your wife talk because I get to see both sides of it they're talking about the birth you are right it would be hard so thank you for sharing all of this with us
I think you are brave to share your faith. Especially when your beliefs are not the same as current mainstream culture. I applaud you and your commitment to your faith.
Hi, I came across your channel and stayed, because you are so positiv and so friendly and welcoming. Thank you for that. But I realkyneed to ask a question. Your Religion is about having Tons of laws for every single Part of life. Isn't that like living in a cage? Is there any situation where you can just be?
Congratulations on your new little one!! I learn so much about my faith by studying yours. I know Christians have been awful (there are probably stronger words more appropriate, but I'll keep it PG) to Jews in the past, and that wasn't ok. You're our elder brothers, and our religion ONLY makes sense in light of yours. There were things even in this that suddenly made certain things make sense. Thank you for sharing. :)
Mazel tov on the birth of your son! Unrelated to the video - is there another hotel/motel besides eshel in crown heights? I want to visit but the stairs going up and down, on shabbos can make it complicated. Thanks!
To each ones own. You and your wife seem like nice people but your beliefs would never work for me. That said i wish you both much love, long life and happiness....
If the father is unable to be at the hospital to pray for some unavoidable reason, does another male relative pray during the birth? Thank you for sharing more about your faith. I find it fascinating.
This is what you believe and therefore should be respected. As with every human. As long as no one is getting hurt, than so be it. This is why we pray to God. For his infinite wisdom.
It’s obvious to me that you treasure your wife and love your family! This Catholic girl thinks that your traditions are beautiful! Thanks for sharing!,
You are doing such a great job at showing Judaism just as it is. One thing I wish for,, turn on the subtitles in al languages so that I could share your videos with my Spanish only speaking friends. It’s easy RU-vid gives you the option when you edit your video, choose all languages. Toda.
I am not Jewish but I would love to convert. But where I live, there is only a very small Jewish community in the whole of the state, and they do not welcome people that wish to convert or learn more. I love learning from you and your family and respect you very much. Thank you for letting us learn from you.
In Judaism people wanting to convert are turned away, but with the idea that if it is truly something they want they will be persistent. They will keep coming back and back, to show how determined they are. If it is something you truly desire, don’t give up. 😊
You don't need to convert, just be a Christian that observes and keeps the Torah. Unfortunately, they have added on to the Torah with their beliefs in mysticism and the Talmud, which makes everything burdensome. The Torah is easy and is what G-d Commanded, There are many Torah / Christian channels on RU-vid. Shalom!
@@yosefa90 There are several places, in the Tanakh, where Hashem refers to the 'mixed multitude' and the 'sojourner', and He always states that they are also required to keep His Laws. And Yeshua directed His people to keep Hashem's Laws. There are not 2 sets of Laws. Then there is Ruth, who joined the Israelites: But Ruth said, “Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there will I be buried. Ruth 1:16-17 There is one Torah, that Hashem says is eternal over 60 times in the Tanakh Shalom!
Can’t wait to be Jewish…..my great grandfather was partly Jewish I believe or fully Jewish with a name like Neumann. Jewish life has mysteriously followed me all my life since a Jewish dr 👨⚕️ saved my life in the womb…..or I would be dead…..rh incapable parents…..plus low progesterone problem. I am barren and chronically ill all my life. Going to take a Miracle to be a Wife and Mother….dying to be Jewish, would appreciate prayers I am fighting for my life right now with liver damage…..long story but being sick medication is needed at times. Converting is my dream keeping me alive right now…..nothing to live for but being a Jewish Orthodox Woman. I have been horribly treated by my brothers and family. Long story.
In Judaism, is the woman giving birth allowed to have her sister or mother in the room? Or if she has no sister or mother, a close woman friend? Or is it just the doctor and nurse? Thank you!
I understand...however, I have a Lubavitch raised daughter and she's not on board with this...she wants her husband holding her hand as she goes through this... I will try G-d willing ...open her eyes to your very nice explanation. Sometimes I think our girls did not for whatever reason get the mystical reasons when in Yeshiva and Seminary....
I am sorry your daughter seems to be on a different path than you would hope for. Rather than "open her eyes", show her love. Of course, talk to your own mashpia about this challenge, however, in my experience, we cannot open the eye of others especially family. We can only be a living example. Lots of hatzlacha!
It’s sad that you cannot in your own words “physically soothing and comforting” the mother of your child that you created during the critical moments she needs your strength, it seems selfish but I respect your beliefs.
My husband was also outside the room. Not because of religión but because he doesnt feel he can tolerate my pain, the blood and all that. I feel that is fine for me because I need to concentrate in labor and being well; because of me and our baby. We agreed on this and Im sure there is no less caring or loving if not in the same room On the other hand, is very recent in worlds history men being in childbirth, it used to be a women's matter; mother, midwife and some other women. I find it ok. Relax Dany, now is time to help!!
The Lubavitcher Rebbe who was a Torah scholar of authoritative degree strongly advocated that women should wear a wig publicly and prefered a wig over a sheitel.
Odd question here… I am a subscriber and love all your content, but there has been a blaring detail in some of your videos that begs the question for me…. Why do you often wear shirts that reveal your chest hair? I’ve never seen any other orthodox, Jewish man do such a thing…. It always seems so odd to me… I would think modesty would prohibit that for the men… 🤔
Jews should know that when they explain what their faith is about Christians love it and are fascinated. Bad Christians have hurt Jews in the past. But thanks to God good Christians defend and support their beautiful faith.
You seem like a wonderful person but I would absolutely hate this. I mean if you helped conceive why would you not help with the birth?! And why can't you touch for two weeks?
