And don't feel bad about relaxing cz the way I see it: Black girls get the best of BOTH worlds. We can go natural or straight....no need to limit our options 😜
Your hair looks great!!!!! I totally agree, relaxed hair is so much easier. Again your mom does an awesome job in doing your and your sisters hair, Especially with the rollersets, she really gets it well done.
Welcome back! You keep your hair so healthy and it’s great. I’ve had a relaxer since I was a kid. My natural hair is A LOT of work. I too prefer relaxed hair. You’re gorgeous, Sis!❤
I’m about to relax mine after 6 years natural. Natural hair that no one ever even sees because it’s just easier to put away and throw on a wig. And I have psoriasis and it’s at its worst it’s ever been I believe because of the wigs and my scalp not being able to breath. All of this ON TOP of being a busy mom of 3 is just not working. When you said “life is hard enough” I felt that on ALL levels 😂👌
I have psoriasis to. It has gotten worse since I gotten older. Long as I'm relax ,I don't have any problems, but soon as I go natural it gets worse. How do you treat yours? Any suggestions?
When she cut her hair, I was here with my neck length hair, she has relaxed it again and its already shoulder length, I'm still here with my neck length hair, it's all good though, I'm fine🥺
Hahahah! Make sure you have a good routine that will help with length retention! Your will is always growing, you just need to retain that length and avoid breakage!
Same. I got tired of taking 1 hour to put my hair in a bun or just to out it in a puff. Cudnt enjoy my afro because tangling. Wash day was a mess. Losing comb teeth. Having to use waaay too much product cuz of how thick and coarse my hair is and as a result buy stuff every minute. Got tired of having fuzzy edges and not finding a edge control strong enough. I know i have thick high quality hair, but i Cudnt enjoy my own hair
As a natural I naturally walk around with my hair all of my head around at home until I know I have to go somewhere. I’d always wanted long hair but as my hair began to grow I saw how difficult it was to manage and how time consuming it was (and still is). On March 30 my husband and I had a baby and in May a day before my birthday I cut my hair “awkward” length. I though this would solve my problem. Nope. I still walk around with my “shorter” natural hair on top of my head. Honestly I’m blessed to have the hair which the Lord has given to me and it’s beautiful because He created it. I truly have considered going to a perm though because being a wife & mom is time consuming amongst other things I need to do. Either way thank you for the video. Im really considering transitioning.
I went back to relaxers after 4 years natural too. I’m lazy when it comes to hair. Therefore, I don’t want wash day to take a whole day, styling being a hit or miss.
I hate when natural hair grows out uneven….like how does that even happen? 😭 I was tempted to go back to relaxers so I got a silk press and ended up missing my natural hair 😅 all this to say that it’s always good to do what’s best for yourself ❤️ I’m still going to keep watching your videos wether you’re natural or not and I’m still going to buy your products too 😂 it’s hard to find quality oils and bonnets that don’t run away into the night while we sleep
Love your hair!!!! Reminds me a lot of mine. Mine is a bit thinner but theirs is the length I’m at. I also have the layers because of heat damage and neglect but I am working in them and they are growing out! Will you please do a video on some of the styles you do while stretching or just short hair styles in general? LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!
Your hair is beautiful either way! I'm debating if I should go back to relaxers, but I love my curl pattern to. I love straight hair and mine only stay straight a couple of days and that's it. Then I have to wear it in a puff, twists or braid outs or and afro. I did find out that sealing with grease cuts down on the single strand knots and tangles. Makes your twists and braid outs last longer. Hair serums makes flat iron hair last a little longer. Thanks for sharing! 😊😊😊
I hate styling my natural hair. It takes a lot of effort. I realize I haven’t really worn my hair in the last two years. I get aggressive fairy knots. I can tell my hair is uneven and falling out in some places. I can’t wear my hair dowb bc it locs on itself. I have 4b hair. I love my texture and I bought a relaxer a few days ago. If I want to wear my hair short I’d go back natural. Long natural hair is a no for me. Or maybe it’ll get locs in a few years. Idk I got options.
Thank you! That wasn’t an option for me. I tried blow drying and straightening my natural hair once and it took soooo long! I couldn’t imagine doing that every week 😅
I’m going back to a relaxer as well. I tried the natural look for three years now -- it’s too much work and most of my hair came out by either using the wrong or too many products. I ended up having to cut it into a bob. My hair was longer and healthier relaxed.
Damn where I been at ? You went from long beautiful hair to shorter beautiful hair 😂 Still looking nice and keep up the good work ( hair is a struggle for us ladies sometimes, I won’t go bald but my forehead is big asf )
You're beautiful either way but I wonder if you've read about the possible link between black women's hair care like relaxers and our high rate of aggressive breast cancers?
I'm glad. Boston University did a 25 year health study of black women and that's what they concluded. It's called....The black woman's health study. Best wishes.
@@rasberrybelley4954 tbh for me, black women and women in general get breast cancer even if they don’t relax their hair. And lots of people that don’t relax still get breast cancer. So personally I still relax
@@iyabomarvel8506 Those studies were debunked a long time ago, but the natural hair product companies keep bringing them up because they know that people don't usually do their own research. Black women's hair is BIG MONEY. So, when we make a big shift, it affects these corporations money in a big way. If it was really causing cancer, there would literally have been a full blown epidemic since the 80's. I still relax with no issues. Truth be told, most people get cancer from their horrible diet.
Tu as des beau cheveux !!
When I can repeat the relaxer to all of my hair again? I did it before 3 months and I feel like I want to do it all of my hair not just the new roots!??
You shouldn’t relax all your hair another time. It will cause your hair to be overprocessed and it will break. You should only relax your new growth! If you feel like your hair isn’t as straight as you wanted it to be, you can do a corrective relaxer. I am really not familiar with it cause I never needed to do one
