The Xbox 360 will always be one of my favorite gaming systems of all time because it had the best library of exclusives and 3rd party titles for any Microsoft manufactured console. I still have my black elite OG model manufactured in late 2009 along with my S model from early 2011 I keep as a backup.
So many good games my friend, We had it good back in the day. I got the elite back in 09 and dude, I loved it so much! I even bought a new one on Ebay a couple years back! Thanks for watching my video. :)
1:43 The smell of the OG Xbox controller cords is the best smell i have ever smelled in my life and i’m sure i’ll never find anything that smells that nice again.
Really great video you've put together here. I have been binge-watching videos similar to this after the Xbox Marketplace shut down. I came a bit late to the party as my first Xbox 360 was the 360 S. I think I was given it around 2012 for Christmas. The first Xbox live gamertag that I had and still have is Adam1Gee. I can't remember if it was recommended or my Father chose it when he was helping me set up my profile. Some of the first games I played were Skyrim, Borderlands 1, Minecraft, World of Tanks, Kinect Adventures, Angry Birds Trilogy, Trials HD demo, and Haunt. Unlike most, I continued regularly playing games like World of Tanks on the 360 until mid 2018, and Borderlands 1 until late 2019, before switching over to the Xbox One X. I didn't play the glory days of the 360 but I do remember the hilarious voice chat for World of Tanks which they no longer have. People were really comical on there and sadly that feature has been gone for ages. I only got a few voice messages and they were chill, just asking me when I'd be on Borderlands. During 2020, I did hop on and collect all of the achievements for Haunt. It was a horror game for all ages utilizing Kinect to play it and it will always be special to me. It's a really fun game and it's lost media now. Recently I have been back on my 360 when I learned the Marketplace was closing, I hopped on after it shut down. I kind of regret not at least browsing before it shut down, but I have pretty much all the games I ever cared about. Late to the party again, oh well. I did snag quite a few games that have either been on sale or games that I wanted the full game to like Trials HD, Bioshock 1&2, Silent Hill HD, etc. So now I am playing some of those. While I am sad about the Marketplace closure it was going to happen sooner or later. I'm happy that there seems to be a resurgence in talking about the 360 after all these years. When I went picked up the original F.E.A.R at my local game shop, they said there's been a resurgence in people coming in and buying 360 games. So that's it for me, I wrote quite a bit, hope you have fun reading this. Some games I'm still trying to obtain somehow (but likely will never get) are N+ and Fruit Ninja Connect.
This is why I love making content. I live for these long comments talking about their experiences. I appreciate you taking the time to share that with me.
First gamertag i made when i was around 11 was TahkoNinja27 then DinoZzHD then vGemz and it continued getting better hahaha, these days im lucky enough to have my gamertag as my name Kael
5:21 this is just brought me back. I remember as a kid this being sponsored saying you can win Microsoft points even money and I was like mommy mommy I’m gonna play this game. I can win Microsoft points woo!… I didn’t win shit😂
OG Xbox was a much cooler experience. The X360 hardware never looked as good, the controller was ugly and had the most amount of lag. Still i liked it more than the PS3 because most games performed better
Please someone help, i want to get some xbox but i dont know which one, the 360 is kinda outdated but i love it so much and marketplace is shatdown and you cant play the modern games on it and i dont even know if i still can play multiplayer games with it, how is the servers out there.. and theres the boring xbox one in the other hand.. i was thinking to pay 60 bucks more to play the xbox one with 360 controller but it doesnt hit the same its got a lot o differences please someone help me about this..
Depends what you're after, the Xbox One can play most 360 games, ans gives you access to the huge xbox one library as well, with most of those multilayer servers still open, but if you want a retro experience then you gotta go with the 360, though most of its online functionality has shut down now, so you'll be stuck playing single player games mainly
