I am definitely going to start being more conscious of checking where my product are coming from! I hadn’t really even thought of this so thank you!! I unfortunately I don’t feel like we have as many good cleansing balm and cleansing oil options as Asian a skincare does!

When I was at target, I checked and most of the new elf launches are all made in China. I’m disappointed as the quality is really good, but I’m not so convinced it’s by good working standards. What cleansing balm do you recommend from Asia? I will order on YesStyle

Beauty Counter has a cleansing balm. Their products are made in the states. It starts with their The Never List™: 2,800 questionable ingredients they never use in their formulations. My friend sold me on their products and yes it's pricey but f$&$$ it. Im 41 and i gotta keep on looking young. So far I've loved everything I have bought

Try the cleansing balm from Sephora brand. It’s literally $12 with more product than elf and I love it

@@ZacMalone Sephora brand is not cruelty free, however I strongly suggest Colourpop cleansing oil. I think it's the best cleansing oil ever created, it melts everything and go away perfectly with water without leaving any trace. It's based in california and also its factories. I'm italian and unfortunately it hasn't resellers in europe yet, so I have to order it from US (and the deliver is quite expensive) so I can't afford to buy it often, but it lasts me very much time and now i've been using it for years.

you said you want to support the American economy, but then you also mentioned that you would be open to a product from *anywhere* but China... what is your exact reasoning then? Is it because you only buy vegan products usually and China requires animal testing? I'm a little bit confused about exactly what you mean when you mentioned many more topics, like tax dollars, voting, etc. but then you say *anywhere* but "made in China" is okay. Is China uniquely bad as a manufacturing location?

Elf claims to be cruelty free, but ido question since China’s Animal testing. Also, I have spoken directly with Chinese immigrants who told me that if they did the same work in China they wouldn’t make any money and would face terrible work conditions. So, if I find a product I love, I would still buy it but not from China where workplace conditions are potentially unsafe

Only some cosmetics sold in physical stores in mainland China require animal testing. That means ELF can make its products in China without animal testing.
