I usually wear size 9 in regular shoes/boots; I ordered a size 10/9 from Amazon , they said 10 is women and 9 is men; will they fit me? I haven’t received them yet. As for hurting, I don’t get it, aren’t they supposed to be made to make you feel like you walk on air ?

Just put some duct tape around your ankles and wear them for about a week or so. After that they're completely broke in.

put on 2-3layers of socks and wear them around the house for a couple days once you get them, convenient way to break them in. helps a little before you actually wear them out

I never wear dr. martens without gel insoles.

You have to break them in. For me, they’ve just felt stiff when I get new ones. I don’t get blisters or cuts.. you just have to wear the right type of socks. If you don’t, it’ll hurt

I broke mines in pretty fast with some mink oil and black shoe polish. They're soft as butter. Literally just keep slathering the stuff on and walk around the house with them for a week. And boom.

They are similar to work boots (in fact, they are) if you have ever worked with them in your life you should know that they will mold in time. So.. to the crying room

You must be wearing Chinese made ones. The original ones that were made in England once they broke in were very comfortable. They call the soles "Air Wair" with "Bouncing Soles" for a reason. They were designed by Dr. Marten after a skiing accident so he could walk comfortably. Invest in some ones made in England. I've been wearing mine for well over 30 years! They last almost a lifetime.

Dont understand why people wear this stuff. They're low quality materials and cheap leather, glued together in Vietnam. Yes, there was a time back in the 70's when they were still made in the UK by hand, with British quality leathers. But those times are gone.
