WHY IS BUILDING IN THE BASE GAME SO DIFFICULT - Sims 4 Family Home Build 

when you mentioned matching indoordoors with the baseboards (white doors with white baseboards/brown doors with brown baseboards) I realized I had never actually thought about it before - but since I like to build with realism in mind I will try and do this from now on

You are the queen of landscaping. It always looks so good. This was a fun challenge but I feel like a house was probably so much harder than what I did.

Personally ( I don't think they'll ever do it) but I wish Seasons would be included into base game (maybe not the items, but the weather)

I don't think it's hard to build in base game myself. Having the expansion packs is just a bonus.

I normally use a gallery, but these last few weeks, I wanted to try some floor plans myself. This video is helpful for what to place and how much. I tend to go overboard thinking I need everything 🤣

Question. Do you have a tutorial about how to build an ugly house? (Could you do one?) No, not a werewolf, "flipper" or rags to renovation type house, a genuine ugly house, from photos. Not photos off of Pinterest etc, but photos that I myself have taken. I have limited access to the gallery (my anti-virus blocks it for some reason and a game is no reason to disable it) and would love to have more houses for the game, but I suck at building. I even suck at building horrible houses. As counterintuitive as it sounds a few houses I would like to replicate are actually tiny historic homes in real life. Three of them are in a town near where my great grandfather is buried. They all belong to the towns tiny museum, but there is not enough funds to have tours etc unfortunately. One used to be the road-masters house at a railroad station several miles away. The house was moved to the town when that station fell out of use in the early 1930s. Tiny one bedroom jobbie with no indoor plumbing (I don't think) and a metal roof. The other, even smaller was a 1950's "kit" (not sure what company but I think Montgomery Wards did some similar ones for awhile) house if you know what those are? It is an even smaller one bedroom with indoor plumbing and a metal roof. Those are reasonably nice outside (for the middle of nowhere) but I still struggle with making them in the Sims. Not the landscaping, there isn't any so, it's cool for an ugly house. The hideously "ugly" one I struggle with most was not originally built as a house, but as a cafe in the town/railroad station in the 1920s. My great grandfather helped build it back in the day. The cafe did not last long because the RR station in the town fell out of use during WW2, rails pulled up for use building ships etc and all. The building is in use (government, sort-of) as an office-ish building now. But because it was built during the depression they couldn't be fussy about building a rural RR station cafe in the middle of nowhere so only a couple of the the windows match, there is kind of a wierd fake tower on the top and a kind of lean-to addition on one side, three doors to the outside, no such thing as symmetry and a wierd shaped metal roof. The "front" door is on the left side, and one of the two back doors is also on the left side at the far end of the building and the other back door is in the front on the right side of the building opposite the "front" door. No door on the front of the building. The stucco on the outside is peeling (the game has stuff for that now, so that really isn't a problem either) and it is just kind of mismatched and disheveled in general. I have tried a couple of times in the past, but kind of given up. You would think that since they are all literally just rectangles they wouldn't be that hard, but for me, they are.
