I always say I think we as humans secretly crave chaos and that’s why even when we have good other relationships we need something with a little more spice
the thing that bothers me when people say "you're still young or you have time" is that like yeah but that doesn't change the fact that people experienced theses things way before me so when I see people younger be in relationships and you my age having relationships and have had relationships before it makes me feel like I am falling behind or sometimes it validates the thought that i am undesirable. like yeah it might not be true but that doesn't change my desire to be in a relationship.

As someone that was a serial dater in HS and now that I'm 22 been single for 4 years, you are definitely right about when you get a sense of self your expectations are higher because really in HS I was just dating for fun man but now I definitely know what I want but than the men are nowhere to be found 👀 or they sadly (for them) don't meet my standards/expectations
I relate with everything you said. And I'm noticing that we are a lot in this situation due to the new dating ways(I'm talking dating app like u mentioned, situationship and hooking culture). It get so hard to know if the person you're interested to is in the same way as you. Maybe, dating should be more "community-like". Dating is supposed to be a personal matter, but zince we're a lot in our situation,maybe single people should help each other, meet each other. Just an hypothesis ☺️

guys i have a question: genuinely what is the difference between romantic and platonic love? is romantic love just friends w benefits? like we all know physical/sexual attraction is separate from love like u can lust or desire someone without loving them so like what makes romantic love different from friends who have sex? like people describe their husband/wife/partner as their "best friend" all the time like idk maybe its due to my lack of experience (see what i did there) but i feel like if i spent the rest of my life living w one of my best female friends and we just had fun i would be fulfilled genuinely what is the difference living w a man who u also have sex with? minus the sex factor everything else is the same so if someones been in love romantically before pls tell me what the diff is
I would say the difference between romantic and platonic love is the intensity and the way it manifests in your life. I have had friends that I loved being around, but didn't have the urge to spend all day, every day with them. Romantic love comes with the urge to combine your lives on a more profound and intimate level. If you decide to move to another city, is it a no brainer that they are moving with you? If you are deciding on a major purchase, are they included in the decision making process because it will have an effect on their own finances? Some stuff like that. Having a romantic interest in someone does not require any sexual interest, whatsoever. There are many people who identify as asexual, that also have the desire for a longterm/committed life partner/spouse. Aromantic, on the other hand, has little to no desire for romance. I would also like to add that in the asexual/aromantic community, there is a concept of "queerplatonic relationships" or QPRs. It's basicallly a step in between being just friends and romantic partners. It's basically what you just described when you mentioned spending the rest of your life with a best friend. You are an individual with the right to tailor your life and relationships how you see fit. If you have no desire for something, whether it be hand holding all the way up to full blown esx, you have every right to opt out. And you will still be able to find someone who aligns with you and gives you love in the way you desire. :)

my skin isn’t that good irl, it just looks really good on camera. honestly i don’t have much of a routine, my “good” skin is genuinely from genetics. although i break out sometimes, i’ve never really had serious skin problems. i’m planning on going to a dermatologist so i can get the right products for me, so maybe in the future i can share a skincare routine ❤️
