I don't really play MvM, but I agree Expert is usually better than 2 Cities for fun value. Although, wanna know the resl best tour? Boot camp, every map and missiom you want. Your rules.
One thing I’d love to see in an MvM update is a tour made to cater to one classes’ abilities. Two cities is based off of medic’s upgrades he got in the update, but just imagine what a tour based off of soldier and demo would be like. Maybe tons of small bots swarming in at the same time to where heavies and sentries get overwhelmed at but soldiers and demomen can easily clean up.
@@thegoodmudkip3652 In Holographic Harvest a community MVM tour there's one map in Decay (Decoy reskin) where there's a tank, but it's an AIRSHIP, and you have to shoot it down. Pyro can still kill it though since upgraded thermal thruster allows you to fly to it.
I mean yeah but meeting a 25 tour with a golden frying pan and then going demopan with them on wave 6 of empire escalation is a once in a lifetime experience.
the only drops anyone really cares about are australiums, and since drop rates are the same* across all of the tours minus oil spill, why not play the tours that cost less to play and offer more fun value? i put in like 90 2 cities tours before finally realizing i love ME and GG far, far more, so theyre virtually all i do now. 144 tours total later and not a single drop, so like, play for the good time, dont play for the value

I will still remember my very first aussie. It was a knife for spy. And then the very next tour I got an aussie for heavy’s minigun. And I will now never receive another aussie again.
I remember trying really hard to get my first ever australium weapon drop, and after 23 finished tours, i got so burned out on mvm i dont think i'll ever enjoy playing it again. At one point it stopped being fun and felt more like a chore, like a shit you have to push out of you during constipation, except that you also have 5 other people around you doing the same, and some of them are going to ruin that experience for you even more.
I think it’s a tryhard soldier with the conch or buff banner blasting everything apart with the Beggar’s while a scout keeps hitting the one battalion’s backup soldier in the wave with his fan-o-war and the pyro spams mouse2
@@SamuelTrademarked i've always loved queueing for the easiest mode in coop games and just seeing how noobs brains work. I do it all the time in left 4 dead 2 and boot camp and its just such a unique feeling seeing people experience the game for the first time
As far as custom maps go the shorter more unforgiving maps I'm aware of are mvm_dusk and mvm_waterfront. Though dusk is more compact rather than short and waterfront has one path that's perfectly manageable and one that's really closed and is hell for anyone who's a sniper. Though yeah most mvm maps are really long and thus forgiving.
I actually quite like some of the community made mvm maps. I’m not going to force the idea that they’re better, but at least it gives you some variety.
Those are very reasonable! Me personally, I like how much variety there is in two cities. I knooowwwwww you can do all kinds of stuff in expert, but with all the money you get in two cities, there’s just SO much you can do that works. I do still like expert, but my friends really don’t, so I don’t get to play it often.
As a professional 2cities hater i have to tell you that you missed some important aspects of what makes 2cities so bad. 1. The 2c community is awful. You either find complete newbies that just started to get these fancy golden weapons or extra tryhards that cant play heavy without a medigun attached to their ass. 2. Two cities teaches players the wrong way to play. "Pyro is unless he uses gas" "winning without a medic is impossible" "scout has to switch last wave" are just a few examples of bad things 2c teaches you. And unfortunately it started bleeding over to the other tours aswell 3. It breaks MvMs own rules Missions usually end with a tank, manhatten doesnt even have tanks. Mission names always start with the same letter as the map they are on, two cities doesnt do that. invasion missions have many short waves and the bomb doesnt reset and andurance missions have fewer short waves and the bomb resets. But for whatever reason all four two cities missions are invasion missions and but the bomb resets on two of them
if only expert ALSO gave robot parts and kits (even with like, reduced rates or something), I'd play it more but I'm addicted to killstreak weapons lol
