Luke! Can you review ‘What people are wearing in New York/ Paris/ London’ or ‘What New York fashion students wear to school’ type videos? I would love to see your take on what people are actually buying and wearing on the day to day rather than focusing on celebrity fashion.
The thing about harry "queerbaiting" doesn't sit right with me because 1) it's assuming his sexuality when he's said in the past that he doesn't want to be labelled 2) it's implying that dressing in a certain way makes you "queer" and only queer men dress in a feminine manner when that's not true, and assuming that is harmful and backwards imo, it's inherently stereotyping queer men as "crossdressers" and any "straight" man that does that too is "queerbaiting" because god forbid if someone just wants to dress however they fucking want to 3) it's just clothes, why are we assigning gender roles to them and assuming someone's sexuality of off it??? With that being said tho I do agree with the criticism of people saying that it's a lot more acceptable when he does it, as a white man compared to kpop idols or black men that wear the same clothing but get labelled as "gay" and have racial slurs thrown at them. I just don't like when people come at harry for these things when it's some of the fans' fault for labeling him as "breaking gender norms" and "ending toxic masculinity" when we all know it's nothing new and Harry himself agrees. My man's just dancing around from one side of the stage to another singing about fruits but he's still getting hate for no reason. Anyways, I've spoken a lot and english isn't my first langauge, pls don't attack me if you disagree i'll cry. I am, however, down for polite debates if anything I said above made sense.
Enter Dennis Rodman Iconic 80s/90s fashion approach, man never did it to sell himself to the queers, to the straight, to the gays, he simply was giving us all Dennis Rodman and as a black man in the NBA of all places. People (younger me, included) were appalled and didn't understood it, but he broke a lot of ceilings for creativity and fluidity on sportsmen appearance and celebrity.
@@Jadorelainie and there you go, it's just clothing !!!! I've never heard of him but he seems iconic and i'll be looking him up so thanks for that. Have a good one !!!!
Also, it seems like men dressing feminine and androgynous is always seen as "queerbaiting" but women dressing masculine rarely gets the same treatment. I don't think that clothes should be treated like it has a gender binary
I understand the sentiment you’re sharing and IMO I guess what puts me off about Harry’s style is just the reception of it all. We’ve seen this being done before but it somehow is being hailed as innovative and groundbreaking. The fact that he is coming out with a nail polish line (🙄) just really sealed the deal for me, he just doesnt come across as genuine (imo!!!). And he’s become a Marvel star too hasnt he? Idk, just not my cup of tea and I can’t understand the hype this man gets.

What I appreciate about Gemma's black crop top/skirt look is that the crystals filtering out and the depth of the colour almost seem to mimic the galaxy or a starry sky which is in theme with the movie she was promoting, Eternals, where that's very centric to the film. Brilliant.
Yes! and it's like she's embodying the sky with the almost vanta black fabric. Or a black hole which is infinite, or dare I say, Eternal (I'll see myself out)
are u going to do Lady Gaga house of Gucci promo/premiere looks? She keeps on serving every time she goes out these days. I hope u'll talk about how she's using vintage italian designers on House of Gucci too!

I feel it might have smtg to do with how they morph into different body types at the same pace as they switch fashion houses. Balmain & BBL era is over, now they’re moving onto more sleek profesh styles and we see Kim & Khloe removed their BBL (allegedly) and their boy toys are slim white alt dudes. Pretty fitting that Kim would turn toward smtg like Balenciaga.
i have absolutely LOVED all of Harry Styles' looks that he's worn in his recent concerts while on tour.. he carries everything that he wears and absolutely rocks it. period.
Kate was recycling a dress she wore in 2011, the belt is from her evening dress at wedding reception. It was the Earthshot event about climate change and saving the planet. William was in loungewear, where a velvet jacket and no tie is the norm.
Personally I only ever watched revenge through osmosis because of the reruns but if there's any time that I paid attention, it was for olivia's fits. The woman never left any crumbs.
Hi Luke, it would be good when you say in your videos sometimes that someone does not wear the best outfit from the collection to maybe show what you think was the best outfit from the collection. Just a suggestion but I know it would be time consuming and annoying haha 😄
well demna gvasalia is georgian and kim’s armenian and historically those two nations have always been close😅 i love the idea that maybe there’s an ethnic reason lol
Is it just me or are the hair and make up games getting kinda lazy played? They don't talk to each other. The hair has on vibe, the make up a second vibe and the clothes a third one. We end up with the clothes wearing the person kind of situation, I feel like. Am I crazy?
No you're not. Sometimes I wish Luke talked more about the makeup and hair but he's a fashion critic so I get that. We need someone talking about the makeup the way Luke talks about the looks :D
I would like to respectfully disagree on the Emma Chamberlain outfit. I believe the puffer coat which was popular in the '90s / 2000s was also part of the r&b Urban aesthetic(aka black culture which stylist constantly borrow or worst from) . I think the coat that was worn reminds me of spray paint and also the messages that were popular for family reunion or in memory of a loved one; meshed together with high fashion and that aesthetic and I adore it ❤️ it made me feel something. And that's what art is supposed to do
Wait a minute.... Really r there people who don't like harry Styles....!!! ... He is an angel... I think people like to go behind people who r non problamatic '
18:10 i’m going to sound like a harry stan but just saying in response to that statement(because I must lol) imo real people cannot queerbait because sexuality is a spectrum. also in response to people who may say that everyone acts like her invented ‘man wear feminine clothing’ for attention to whatever, blame the people who act like that not him. if you don’t like him just stay away from him, u don’t need to throw unnecessary ad heavily politically charged words such as queer baiting into it. queer baiting is reserved for corporations who manufacture queer entities to appeal to a specific demographic. harry styles is just a person with interests that people categorise as ‘too queer’ for an unlabelled man to wear apparently. liek he has a platform and he’s doing what he wants if u don’t like to just look away don’t try to make him into the bad guy lmao
maybe dont tell gay man how to react to queerbaiting. it an do alot damage. maybe learn little about comunity before acting like celebrities never do it. for me its not sit right with Harry that he never said he part of comunity. that why people believe he queerbaiting. i dont need him to say he gay but avoiding all q about sexuality dont sit right with alot people. and advice for next learn to accept different opinions.
I don’t know anything about him so I don’t have an opinion about this. But I most say individuals can definitely queer bate not just corporations/companies. Please look at so many straight guys in Tik tok.
@@Sigita989 a. I am profoundly queer. I am pansexual. I have gone through the pain of coming out to my grandparents and have them be able to look in my eyes for months. believe me I understand. 2. he has said that he is unlabelled and honestly he owes it to no one to talk about his sexuality which is something very VERY private.
@@182atenasb please explain how a person can queerbait though, I don’t understand. like how do u decide that something is too queer for a person u assume is 100% straight to do
@@Sigita989 sexuality is something private and he doesn’t owe anyone an explanation of what his sexuality is. it’s very weird to feel that someone needs to tell the world publicly what it is. we all know coming out is not easy. additionally, i hate that people assuming hes queerbaiting because of how he dresses. how fucking backward is that?! clothes don’t have a gender, anyone can wear anything. clothes are not a representation of sexuality. straight men should be able to wear a skirt and not have the their sexuality questioned. cause guess what, it’s just a piece of fabric it doesn’t mean anything.
You need to start featuring CHAELIN ((CL - THE BADDEST FEMALE)) on your monthly roast!! She’s been servin look after look as always and is promoting her self-launched album. The woman is SPICYYYYY 🔥🔥🔥
Gal Gadot is wearing Sunday church dresses consecutively i don't if it's convenient she might walk off the red carpet and attend a sermon but she is wearing a dress my pastors wife most likely has in her closet.
What churches y'all go to man. That's not a church dress at all but it definitely isn't a red carpet dress doh. Hailey wore that same dress in black to someones wedding and I would say that was a good occasion to wear a dress like that to.
I fucking love you, your so educated and personal I love the way you talk about your craft. I wish you would create fashion I would be your first buy 4sure! You know so much your the shit!!!
The placement of the ombre on Cynthia’s dress just makes her look like she’s growing out of the carpet. Especially with the texture of the fringe. But lord, her smile is gorgeous!
Kerry Washington is a beauty but her horizontal striped dress looked like a stretchy tube that was pulled over her head to reach to the ground… not attractive at all. But an occasional fashion faux pas is permitted. I have them in my non-celeb lifestyle! 🐑🐑🇳🇿🇳🇿NZ
I think you totally missed the reference for Tessa Thompson. This is very late 30s mid-40s Harlem. Very classic. The cops hanging out, the boutonniere, the crispness of the shirt, even the style of the shoe and her back swept hair
MORE PHOTOS of the one dress - lets get back views please or side views -- come on you should be making enough money now to hire your own photographer to take go to these events and do it right - your whole experience is in ONE VIEW -- and thats what I feel your giving me ONE VIEW - one photo doesn't cut it anymore
That look on Jessica Chastain is a total blue denim and red handkerchief vibe. Surprised you didn't mention that. It's very Americana, but I didn't like it either.
The scaparelli on Haley Bieber is wonderful it is such an artistic take and relevant to today in that we can attain this unattainable gorgeous chiseled goddess like six pack with any means necessary I love the concept I love the execution and it makes me feel emotions along with making me think love it ❤️
