The year is 2045. Morgan Wallen & Zach Bryan’s long awaited duet album is finally released. It’s 245 tracks long and takes two months to fully listen to.

IMO, bc of Morgan’s huge crossover appeal, the smartest thing to do is to cater to everyone by having a handful of songs that each part of his fanbase will like.. the country fans, the hip hop fans, the pop fans, etc. Even just for this reason alone, it would make sense for him to have a massive album. I also think he MIGHT see this album as a “do over” for Dangerous bc that album and a lot of its success will forever be associated with the TMZ controversy. He’s at the top of the country music game and no doubt he feels a ton of pressure to stay there and prove himself, especially to his haters. What better way to do that than flood the charts and get massive streaming numbers? lol

When Dangerous came out I felt like there wasn’t that many songs I like but after time I ended up consistently listening to a majority of the songs.

I don’t think there’s ever “too many songs” I don’t care if they’re on the radio or not I just want to add them to my playlist and go on with my day. More Morgan, Hardy, and Zach Bryan is good

I kinda like the long albums as a signature morgan wallen flair, just like dangerous. Especially since I (like many) like most of his music, and then love certain individual songs, so it feels like we get both quality and quantity.

There is a solid album with just Wallen, Ernest and Hardy buried inside One Thing at a Time. of these 3 songs I love "Everything I Love" but of the songs we have gotten so far "Thought you should know" is the one that hits me hardest in the feels in my sad bois heart

The same reason Zach bryan is forever releasing music because artists make music to support their tour now

I've streamed all three on repeat since they came out. Love them all, everything I love is definitely my favorite. Can't wait for the full album, I'd take a 236 song album, just give me more Morgan Wallen!!!

IMO if the songs flow out of you naturally, keep going, record them, release them all. So typical of an artist to record 30 songs, and only release 10 on the album. So many songs just end up wasted and put in the vault. Morgan Wallen is changing things up. Yup. Streaming changed everything, however, 36 songs = the perfect road trip album. I connect to all of his songs.

Everything I love just might be my favorite Wallen song. Just such an interesting vibe and sound from him.

Longer albums = more music to listen to!! Can't complain

I think it's great that popular musicians are dropping larger albums with more music. In the past, composers would have to pump out a full multi numbered opera, often times within weeks or months depending on the time period and demands of the commission. If they were great composers, they usually produced great operas (or at least great music if the libretto sucked). Large albums are amazing, keep them coming!

The more music the better. I wouldn’t care if someone dropped a 100 song album. Keep ‘em comin

Pretty tough for people to learn his new music for his tour this summer with this many songs and short timeline for the tour starting 😂😂. But I think it’s cool, makes the album last longer. Always felt like 10-14 song albums lose interest because people listen so much when they’re excited about release and then get tired of the music and want new stuff too quick

I remember in an interview once he said if he never releases these songs, they will just disappear since he is constantly writing and making new music.

That's not an album, that's a playlist that he hopes could push him higher and longer on album charts and boost his certifications quicker

Everything I Love might already have become my favorite MW song. It's so country & so upbeat. I just can't get enough of it!

I would personally prefer a shorter album. Having an album with 10 bangers is better then a half baked 36 album. I don’t go back to Dangerous that much because most of the songs seemed like filler to me. Then there is also that “there will be something for everyone” on there as well. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. He is drawing more people into country music which is something we all can celebrate.

At the same time, back in the day a 15 song album might last 2 years of radio play because a single would be pushed for 6-8 months at a time. Now with streaming, it seems that artists have to continue to put out songs every couple weeks. And now with the last 3 song preview, we have already heard 9 of the 36 songs. So really we get to digest 25 songs over the next year/ 1.5 years before he starts to release some more new tracks before the next album in 2-2.5 years from now.

On the one hand good for his fans. Lots of new music. On the hand, there is something to said about a 12 track list where every song tight.

as far as album length, gimme all you got. i’m in the camp where im not gonna complain about it being 36 songs, just more content for me to dive into. for me, what might be filler for some people could be gems for others. on dangerous for example, neon eyes is my fav morgan song of all time so far (a new challenger has entered however…) and a lot of other songs you don’t hear much about are some of my personal favorites. 36 songs allows for more people to have different opinions on the songs and i tend to love deep album cuts a lot so i’m looking forward to it. i really dont care about album length at all, lemme have it all. as far as the 3 songs that came out, here’s how i’d rank em. might be a bit different than most and that’s bc, again, music sounds different to literally everybody 1. Everything I Love (this could end up being my favorite morgan song ever eventually, surpassing neon eyes. i love everything about this track. i’ve always loved the song this song is based on, Midnight Rider by the Allman Brothers Band, and so it’s just magical to me. its so 70s to me in the verses and i can’t get enough of it) 2. I Wrote the Book (i used to absolutely hate trap elements in country and just pop influences in general but my horizons have broadened ever since i discovered morgan. wasted on you sounds good to me but other trap country songs like a lot of things by kane brown ain’t much for me. this song i actually love it a lot on. i can’t describe it but it just sounds really cool to me. fun to drive while blaring it.) 3. Last Night (i’ve always hated snap/clap tracks in country which is why it took so long for me to start listening to recent country again. this song is ok but to me it’s kinda in that filler range, which most people would disagree with which is why i say gimme all you got, i’ll let my ears decide whether its filler *for ME* or not. it’s an ok song, but i definitely prefer the other 2.) overall i’m so excited for this album. i’ll be able to get to see him june 2 in atlanta too, my second concert ever (i’m 19 and my only ever concert was in first grade to an irish women’s vocal group 🫤) edit: lmao jk guess it’ll be november 11 😭

An interesting interview I listened to with Joey Moi also mentioned that Morgan is also getting a lot of song writers best stuff. So Morgan records. Keeping those song writers happy. Which is the name of the game these days.

I would much love a 36 song Album. People consume so much content nowadays, it's time for artists to get with the times and i think this is one of those things.

The Dangerous album helped me though some tough times.. Each song is a memory now.. Songs me and my wife jam too And songs me and the kids jam too Classic album in my opinion

A few reasons I can see. With the rise of prolific songwriters in Nashville like Combs and Wallen, they are just producing more material than ever. These guys always recorded 20+ songs to get 10-12 on an album. Now they just record more and include more to game the streaming album units thing

I wanna say I think this is a bad idea…but I also said the same thing about dangerous and that was the album that got me into not only Morgan Wallen but giving Country music a fair shot (up till my second year of college I wrote it off but listening to it off a recommendation from during my junior year genuinely made me want to check out more). The only thing that has me worried is the singles have been very hit and miss. Thought you should known grew on me, I actually find You Proof really fun, and One thing at a time was great but the rest have been ok. Speaking of, my favorite of the singles was definitely Last Night. You summed it up perfectly. The hypnotic guitar loop always keeps me coming back. But also I liked the other 2 well enough. Everything I love might be my least favorite because I’m not too big on the hook, but lyrically and instrumentally it’s pretty good, and I Wrote the book works for me the same way You Proof does. Just a more goofy sentiment that takes itself just seriously enough to be fun. So idk. I feel like he’s gonna run the risk of being overexposed at this point, but I can’t say I’m not at least a little excited to see what happens with it.

The size feeds the beast, and forces folks like you to talk about it. Part of the issue of a system that focuses on total streams and not average streams per song. I also feel that at the end of the day it’s a 36 song album that will have a few songs for every fan of any stripes to like.

It’s clear artists are realizing that longer albums means more streams so they are flooding the market. If I listen to the full 36-song Morgan Wallen album one time, that is the same number of streams as three different people listening to a regular 12-track album one time. It’s sort of a force multiplier. I’m not complaining though. I’m of the train of thought that if you don’t like the extra songs, then just skip them and move on. Just provides a bigger pool of songs for people to choose from and listen to

I’m surprised how no one I’ve seen has mentioned how Everything I Love samples The Allman Brothers Band’s midnight rider (the reference to silver dollar too) (which Willie did a cover of) and the “Can’t you See” is sung in the style of Marshall Tucker Band’s “Can’t you See” (which I believe Waylon did a cover of). Just some funny classic southern Rock trivia and honestly surprised Morgan did this since he’s so popular with Zoomers who would have no idea 😂

The more songs the better to me! I really like I Wrote the Book, I think it’s a good Christian styled country song! Ultimately my favorite is still Everything I Love though!

When Dangerous came out I thought it was too long and had some skips, but since I have gone back and come to love some of the songs I originally thought were skips. So overall I guess I don't mind a lengthy album assuming at least some of the songs are good.

Not really opposed to the long album mainly because we haven’t really heard an album from him in a while for obvious reasons. Same with the Zach Bryan album I feel like he’s been outta the picture long enough for it to be bearable. I’m just excited to listen to it because Morgan has always been one of my favorites. Outta the new three songs I LOVE last night and every thing I love in the beginning gives me slight sturgill vibes that get quickly shut down but yeah, excited to hear something new
