I really don’t think the lighting of the cigar effects the whole cigar and it’s bitterness. Over-pulling is the biggest cause second is improper humidification.
Thank you for the tip. I had an Ashton VSG and it was nice. I tried it again, but purchased it from another shop and I asked for matches because I did have my lighter. The Ashton and another cigar I smoked were w/the matches the shop gave me. The taste was bitter from the start through the first 3rd. The matches were not sulfur free. I’ll give them another shot and that bama owes 2 new cigars.
There's a particular bitterness I describe as "metallic bitterness" that almost all cigars have to some extent, except for a few of my favorites puros with tobacco from a particular region in the world which never, ever, have it...
