Another fantastic video; I know a lot of us were waiting for this one. Really appreciated the emotional and nostalgic focus of this video paired with the humor and honest reviewing. Thanks for putting this series together, it was a really fun trip back in time.
The menus the character selection, we're so great in BT2 & BT3 but I can't say the same for sparking Zero. I'm hyped for the game,I just feel like they dropped the ball in those departments
People talking about the roster…I promise no one is using tambourine😭😭 or general blue etc….yes it’s appreciated but not needed….most of time you end up just using the main characters and villains
Agreed. And to all the haters who like to say stuff like, "Nobody uses characters like Tambourine and General Blue, etc. Wasted slots and development time." I'd have to hard disagree. At least for me and many others, the greatest appeal of the Tenkaichi series was being able to play as characters you'd never get in any other DBZ game, especially being able to build a team and play out dream matches. So while some people will only play as the main characters like Goku, Vegeta, Kid Buu, blah blah blah, I find it kinda boring. Obviously they need to be there, but you already know they'll be in every other DBZ game anyway. Personally, I'd been waiting years to be able to play as guys like Cui, the whole Ginyu Force, King Vegeta, King Cold, Evil Buu, etc.
Fun Fact about Goku (Mid): Did you ever noticed how fluffy Goku's Super Saiyan hair is? Goku (End) had spiker Super Saiyan hair. Also if you select Goku (End)'s third costume his Super Saiyan hair is still fluffy.
@@HiddenChannel Yeah, that. Meanwhile, folks with a hacked PS4/PS5 or an Xbox One/Series with access to the developer mode can emulate PS2 games. Sparking! METEOR looks great on my PS4 Pro.
@@PhilipMarcYTOh boy you definitely don't play this game like that. There's so much really complex things that you just have to find out about yourself
- The easily accessible hands on experience - Huge character roster (including obscure characters) - Refined Faster-paced gameplay compared to BT2 - Impact intensity upon attacks both melee and blasts - Unique story mode made to feel more immersive - What-if scenarios - Modding community
@sketchpen777 I played the hell out of 1 and 2 so I don't know how I missed it to be honest. And yeah I played plenty of 2 on Wii later on, the motion controls weren't actually too bad when you got used to them.
This game was such a masterpiece. I still have my original copy and play it occasionally. From the roster, the story mode, the character intercations, the charm, it was a brilliant package all in one! Great job covering this one, Hidden, you really put a spotlight on what made this game so special.
Hidden if you edit your vids this one was a massive step up!. (i hope that doesn't come across as a backhanded complimented lol) this is my fav game i feel like every time this franchise makes a third game they absolutely nail it (the adages 3rd times the charm applies for sure)
Me2. Also Babidi’s minion is called Pui Pui in the anime, but goes also under the name of Bui Bui or Pocus and is my favorite character in the Buu saga…I don’t really know why… maybe he reminds me of some villain from Paperinik world or maybe a not-so-well hidden black face…dunno…
Nah. I understand how it could feel incomplete. They never added Androids 14 & 15 nor the rest of the Cooler's Armored Squad. We had to wait till Raging Blast 2 to get those guys.
me and my friends back in high school would spend hours playing this game together on my ps2 in the basement. this game is a love letter to everything dragonball and i hope sparking zero has the same love and passion put into it.
This game was the peak of a video game era of having friends come over, hooking up 2 controllers, and just having genuine fun for hours. Whether it be going head to head or taking turns on story unlocking characters. RIP to split screen gaming.
The Smash Bros Ultimate of DBZ arena fighters! Hopefully Sparking Zero will stack up once all the DLC is released. When there was chaos outside my bedroom door, Tenkaichi 3 kept me safe, happy and strong. Thanks for this one Hidden! You're the best! I'm always grinning ear to ear when I watch these!
Been a good while since the YT algorithm blessed me with a vid of yours Let's heckin' goooo 🥳 13:28 Big agree, it always bugged me that we didn't get GT Vegeta
Oh no! Whaaaaatt!! Post the directors cut where you go into costumes for 1 hour! You think I don't wanna sit here and listen to that?! I want my Snider cut
Great vid Lately ive been watching alot of your stuff. I love how long they are n detailed. Tbh i feel like its improved alot Im glad you moved away from the over use of DBZA material some of ur previous vids had like too much of it. Yes its funny stuff, but using your own jokes is better. Although i do miss the random ego raptor "my knee" joke
Despite all the DBZ games that have come out over the years, BT1 has the most badass and authentic Intro of all of DBZ games of the Franchise. BT2 and BT3 in my opinion still remains the most Unique and the best DBZ games in terms of content, quality and fanservices. And from the gameplay perspective aspects, these DBZ games that I mentioned are very close to the anime itself because of the Vibe and Charm, I don't know how to describe it but it was, and still is the most Unique DBZ experience you could have with the combat factor. (- Sheer amount de of characters - Transformations mid-battle (powering up and down) - Fusions mid-battle - Fast gameplay that has that "woah" feel - Tons of extra content - Story mode covering all sagas + movies - What If sagas - Shenron having permanent impact on game (character unlocks and whatnot) - Great tournaments that rotate availability - Edit characters with items (buffs) - 5v5 battles - Really Great and Epic Soundtracks - Destroyable environments - Entire stages could be blown up into their "destroyed" alternatives - Mission 100 being a great challenge - Artwork is 10/10 - Sound effects are great - Combat feels heavy and satisfying) Only Budokai 3, Infinite World and the Raging Blast 1 and 2 and all of PSP DBZ games except of Dragon Ball Z Evolution are still considered also very solid DBZ games, also the hidden gem that a lot of DBZ fans missed from PS2 Era of DBZ games is "Super Dragon Ball Z" which is also a real Unique and DBZ game, especially for the different gameplay aspects perspective. 🤷🏻♂️✌️
3 had a bigger roster and slight combat improvements but 2 is goated, story alone takes like 60 hours to 100%. I play 2 for the story and 3 for the roster.
In budokai tenkaichi 2 I’m pretty sure they told you the victory conditions before the match. Survive a certain amount of time or win the battle with “blah blah”
Interesting you made a new video about Sparking! METEOR as I'm currently playing it on my PS4 Pro (hacked) with the anime music (the U.S. version with the JPN Music mod) and it's awesome! It feels like I'm actually playing the series even more accurately due to the music. That being said, I really enjoy the international score (also composed by a Japanese musician), but I'll always prefer the anime music. And the emulated graphics on PS4 look really nice, it's such a nice experience overall. 🙂 By the way, the newest Sparking! ZERO trailer features anime music so I hope the full game has some anime music than only new music made for the game.
Having every aspect of the series of DB be represented, og DB, DBZ, Movies, GT. This is something that no other DB game has or will have SZ has like 3 more characters than BT3 does and well, notice the lacking movie GT and OG content in the game (og is probably the only one that will get representation) Having everything in one complete package is what makes this the defacto db game to me, no other game has or will have the sheer variety this one does
11:38 - WHY does everyone forget that A Link to the Past did the whole ocarina thing first? Also, Tapion is part Crono as well. So, discount Chrono Trigger: A Link to the Past.
I get the love this game gets but I was never into it because of the awkward controls, clunky movement, lack of individuality between characters and the awful imbalance between them(much like in melee, people kept going for the top tiers and getting repeat matches) It's a fun toybox what-if maker, but not one I went back to often. I was way more into the Budokai games, even though some capsules made the game busted (Frieza's space ship is bs) it felt more balanced and characters were more distinct.
Tbh, 2 is goated for me, but 3 has Fasha ... and has the BT4 mod so idk, it's a split but Imo 2 has the edge for me. I was untouchable on BT2 for the wii, but 3 i just wasn't as good at, and couldn't go back to 2 after spending so much time in 3
Also, DB fans are really nitpicky with the story mode of the games, like "bro, this story is not going to be understandable to someone that hasn´t seen DB", but lets be real, only DB fans play DB games.
the metacritic reviews are crazy, most who gave it a 70 actually seem to write that they love it while the low scores say the controls are “hard to learn” and that it’s not balanced like huh??
Haven't you done this before But with the Title saying Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 Ah well guess I'll watch this too cause you should do three more just so we know you really mean it when you say you like DBZBT3
