If civilization ever collapses I'm finding Ace and his dad, because I don't think I'd go hungry and it will be tasty. Great video and stories. I'd like to see a video of just longer stories.
So just a tip, when I had this one in the field I would split the muffin top in half and pour the syrup on each side and place the patty in between the half's and eat it like a McD's breakfast sandwich. Also the cardboard sleeve is used to stand the heater bag up. Fold one end closed, squeeze to open, insert heater bag and contents, set down on the folded end to heat up. Also the "main" bag is used as a trash bag for all of the internal components.
Great idea, Kevin. If the dessert would have been good, I'd a done that and grabbed a pack of coffee from an earlier MRE or C Rat that I have left over and had me a lot better meal, for sure. TFW
This is one of my favorite menus. There are only a few breakfast options currently. Thanks for the new vid, if you ever need something to review, I can definitely send you a care package. Contact info is on my channel description and vids. (TFF= Trans Fat Free)
Another fantastic video sir. The stories are a highlight as well. I hope you never stop doing these. Thanks again for your service and God Bless. Semper Fi
Thank you Me Ancient. I am a recent subscriber. I enjoy your videos. I joined the Marines in 1975. In bout camp we had c rations from the Korean conflict. They had cigarettes as well as chocolate discs wrapped in foil in some of the B units. We had ham and eggs and believe it or not they were a favorite followed by canned peaches. Thank you for your continued service. Semper Fi!
I totally forgot about the chow when he was telling the card game story. I love the old storys. Mad respect pops...thank you for your service sir! I love this channel great idea for content on a new channel I cant wait for the next one
Thanks to you and Asa for another great video and story! I spend way too much on MRE’s but seeing your enthusiasm and old school wisdom (I ain’t exactly young) is very soothing. You guys should make a video with all three of you.
I think they doubled down on protein with the peanuts and peanut butter due in fact that it had a grape electrolyte beverage instead of the chocolate protein powder beverage to sorta equal out the packs nutrient table. Looked delicious ill have to keep an eye out for that mre. For the story , it is always a great past time revisiting those times with you and anyone else who shares their stories. If there was more military presence I think rolling him in a sheet and giving him the old soap trick woulda payed off that debt and taught the lag a lesson. Lol great times all in all looking forward to the next one have a marvelous day
I found ur sons channel been watching them a while and started to watch ur channel as well fell in love with the mre content always been a big interest of mine
They fiddled around with the contents of the sausage patty MRE. One of the best components is a filled french toast pastry. Also, you sometimes get the hash browns added in and if you cut up the pattie and mix it in with the hash browns, you got some good eatin's.
I put the sausage on the muffin top and cover it in syrup. I cheat and put some Wisconsin butter on it. Delicious, one of my favs. Good story. I'm liking your vids.
Cut up your sausage patty with the spoon, crumble the muffin top and put it in the sausage pouch, pour in the syrup packet, and enjoy. This is actually a pretty good meal.
That’s it. Gotta go to the commissary and pick up some MREs now! And get some of the maple pork ones. Good to have them in my car for emergencies and camping/hiking! Thanks for the stories. Turning you in got gambling after losing was a bad thing for that guy to do. Great video!
Me Ancient thank you for your service and another great video! I love that you tell stories and show and utilize the whole MRE. I hope to be able to try one myself. If you ever have an extra please let me know
This menu MRE was my very first and is my most favorite one. I never served but I do eat MREs for fun. The maple muffin top is actually a standard item for that menu and I do love putting the syrup on it and the maple flavored sausage patty i say is better than Farmer John's. Barely discovered you today keep up the good work thank you for ur service sir🇺🇲
They gave you maple syrup, and what closely resembles a pancake, and a sausage patty. Talk about well thought out! What a missed opportunity as well as putting peanuts in the peanut butter. Instant crunch.
Another really enjoyable show from you........ it makes me somewhat sad to think what you had to endure........ but here you are a smart man with power....... skills......... actually that Patty little looked delicious and actually that mre was.....look pretty yummy .....good mix calories....... thanks again awesome show is always
Could you do something about the heavy brathing sound of the man who holds the camera? I mean no offence or bad, i just wanna point out that hes breathing and almost everything he does sounds very high, pretty sure cus hes the one close to the camera, maybe get another microphone? Sometimes the breathing and so high so you focus on hes breathing instead of the him who eats! Again, no offence, ive seen alot of comments who says the same. There is good microphones to buy for things like this! Very good video other then what i pointed out!
That was the way to do it. If you wanted to spend the money, that was the way to do a whole gear locker inspection.....one for inspections ONLY. The other for every day uniforms and civies. TFW, Victor!
I Literally came dragging my self from work after 10 hours in construction open my phone I see this video I’m like heck yeah got my energy back on !!!!!! Let gooooo
I might have said this before.... But when I was in the ARMY it seemed like every time I got an MRE it was Turkey, Diced, With Gravy. It was good the first dozen or so times. I've had 3 or 4 MRE's other than that and they were good too. I'm an MRE fan which might explain why I'm so interested. But I subbed for the good company. If you ever get over stocked with MREs just holla I'll take them off your hands. :)
Got a question for you, were did you get the name Acea? ( not sure if that's how it's spelled.) Very unique just wondering if there is a story behind it...love the videos my dad was a military man and when he would come home he would always have a MRE for me to open. :)
Ace's name is actually a nickname that his brothers and friends called him while he was growing up. He just decided to use it when he started the channels that he has.
High Adventure Video just released one last week (or Monday this week) in which I go out and hunt mushrooms while Ace catches fish and crawdads and Micah catches and then cooks his fish and everything else we foraged for. It's a good one. TFW
I’m wondering if you knew a Michael Davison while you were in Beirut. He was my senior drill instructor when I was in boot camp in ‘95. He talked about being there.
@@MeAncient well I requested to go in motor t which was what my older brother was in but they put me in legal admin. I guess I did too good on the asvab test, right? Haha. Funny thing was my brother actually ended up working for my senior drill instructor later in his career. Semper Fi
Mr i really do think you have a iron stomach some of the old stuff you eat haha we have some dodge food in wales to be fair but nothing like this i really enjoy your videos thank you ☺
I can tell you from personal experience, we used to fill the clear plastic beverage bag with water and put it next to the MRE heater while it was heating and have semi hot coffee 😂
After my wife's death earlier this year, I have been going through attic contents, discarding without mercy. This week's discovery was canteen and gas mask/ pouches from the WayBack Machine era. Into the rolling can for the garbage pickup on Friday! I sort of wish now that I had kept the canteen...
Local Hero from near where I live has a monument dedicated to him , he was with the 22nd Marine Amphibious Unit - LCpl George L. Dramis KIA January 30th, 1984 in Beirut, Lebanon.
WHAT?!? You joined a few years before me. I was PLT 3059, October 1980. MOS? I was 2621, manual morse intercept operator. They don't even do that anymore. TFW and Semper Fi!
@@MeAncient when I was stationed at Ramstein I got a wet weather parka, squadron patch and a sweater from the 892nd RNAS for a extra M-65 field jacket. The jacket was pretty stainless ed with jet fuel on the cuffs. They were a great bunch
;D i have returned . So one of the factors iv heard is people like to trade their maple syrup or peanut butter for jalapeno cheese cut the muffin top in half and make a sandwhich with the sausage patty
If Maui will open up completely and quit trying to chase off the tourists with changing rules, we'll head back. We've had trips planned but had to cancel at the last minute. We've had the COVID and don't want the vaccine so their rules are a bit screwy for me. To each his own. TFW
I had some from when I was active duty, some come from subscribers, some were purchased for me by Micah (High Adventure Videos) and others I bought on line. TFW
