For me it’s also the Rios family of brands. They fit me better than any other brand, workmanship, quality, comfort and durability is consistent across their brands. Thanks for the comparison and keep up the good work!
Just purchased a pair of elephant Rios of Mercedes and the fit is perfect right out of the box. I have 4 pair of lucchese 1 stetson 1 cowtown and 1 republic but so far these fit the best after taking out the foam insole, will have to see how they do over time. Watching this video really got interested in trying them and I’m glad I did.
Tony Lama for old brand.I was lucky to go to El Paso and met up with a retired El Paso chief of police and we went to the Tony Lama factory.He told me some good stories from the early days and knew the Lama family along with many other folks being chief etc.Good times Thanks for sharing.

Great pairs of boots. Those Rio Ostrich leg boots are awesome looking. I have not tried either of those brands as they are hard to come by here in Canada. The first brand of boots I ever owned was Boulet Boots. They are made in Canada and their original top line of boots are fantastic. They now have a lower tier of boots and they are definitely not the quality of their original line. Please keep the great content coming. Well done video. 👍🤠
AB is my favorite. Just got my 3rd pair. I got the twister natural bison this time. I have a narrow foot and wear a B. Anderson Bean is one that I can always find in a B width.
I have heard soo much great words and recommendations from mercedes boots. I need to get me a pair someday. I tryed on some horsepower and they fit good and nice quality. Great company. 👍
This was a excellent review of those brands, and thank you for doing this one! My 1st western/cowboy boots were Nocona, my 1st pair were Black tanned Deerskin in 1979/80, and at that time, they were the top tier non traditional exotic boot Nocona made & were pretty costly for a 18 yr old guy, but were worth it, as they became the most comfortable piece of footwear I've ever had, even to this day. The only other boot I've actually worn beside vintage Nocona, are the Lucchese's which for me so far are quite nice.

Great review! My two favorites are Lucchese & Dan Post. I have about five (perhaps more) pairs of Lucchese goatskin boots all in the Classics line. They look sharp and feel comfortable. I often wear them for dress or in the classroom. And I also have good things about Dan Post boots. Btw, those Rios boots of yours look great! I like the color, and the design of the scallop tops.

Rios of Mercedes has my heart, after Jesus, of course! My Rios in smooth Buffalo leather, and my Rios black smooth Ostrich roper square toe are amazing! Best, most comfortable quality!!! These are my favorite earthly possessions.
I have Lucchese 1883’s at 2 pairs Tony Lama Ostrich And Anderson Bean Safari Elephant I have to say comfort is Definitely ANDERSON BEAN. By a land slide. Only problem is, they are made in Mercedes, TX but are hard to find in the RGV. Go figure…
Lucchese! I buy used pairs online with little wear. Because Luc’s quality is so high, your really not risking getting a bad boot. I’ve found some gems in second had stores. The staff doesn’t realize the quality of product they have, so list the boots for $20 to $40! My second favorite so far are Dan Post. Always buy them new, because there not that expensive to begin with. Can’t wait to try a pair of Rios!

Actually Lucchese does have boots made in China though, not sure if they're good at all or if anyone is buying them. I agree with everything else 100% though
Wow I had never hear of a Chinese made Lucchese do you know of a model name or number that is made in China as I’ve never a Chinese made Lucchese their worst nuts were the 2000’s and were made in USA but now there making all the best ones in USA along with mid to low and some exotic’s in Mexico.
