2:02 I remember being at Dodie's concert in Paris, and this beautiful ginger girl came onstage with her guitar and asked us to sing the best harmony I ever heard. The whole crowd sang, we were one with just one sentence. And that's how I discovered Orla Gartland. I swear I'll see her again onstage someday cause I'm in love now. Update : It's settled. I have my ticket for Orla's concert in Paris in November. Can't wait 🙌🙌🙌 Another update : I’ve been to her concert. It was awesome. I got to see her and we took a picture together. Best day of my life. (This comment is litteraly my diary xD)
I know i was really disappointed when dodie didnt do such a thing later on... it wouldve perfect for 6/10 especially because the voices of the fans are already in the studio version... but i mean i get it its extra work an everything....
Singing the harmonies to why am I like this in the Spain concert with the rest of the crowd was honestly one of the best experiences of my life. Singing those words that are kind of negative in nature with so many people like me gave me so much hope and love for the world. It was so special ❤️
i was there for the 2nd day in dublin when you toured with dodie and one of my favourite moments of the entire night was hearing inevitable for the first time and the crowd went dead silent for the whole thing. it feels like such a personal song and it would've felt so wrong for me to talk or cheer during it. it's my favourite that you've done - both the acoustic version from tour and the album version are amazing - and i felt so proud of you for being able to silence a room and just have us clap so loud at the end. i've never seen a group of really excited people get so quiet for a song out of all the gigs i've been to, and we were all in awe, and it was so so so awesome. (plus i get to see u in november in dublin again!!! wahey!!! i can't wait!!!!)
@@clau7522 yessss i was so excited for it to come out after hearing it live and the album version is so so beautiful, i can't wait to hear it live again
I love you Orla, you're so good live! One of my favourite artists!! I saw you on the Dodie tour and your headline show in Bristol. Both amazing performances, you ought to be proud. I can't make Bristol in November, as I will be in the US, sadly. Shoutout to Tessa Violet for being a fab support. American cutie! Greta Isaac was a pleasant surprise, big fan of her song 'You'! When you all sang together, it was magical. Sending love from Wales!
i remember singing why am i like this in madrid and we kept singing until the song finished and it was the greatest, most healing a comforting feeling ever
This might be one of my favourite RU-vid videos I have ever watched. An amazing glimpse into your world of touring. So excited to hear you this Friday in the Iveagh Gardens. Incredible that after all these years I'll be seeing you play your own music in the IveaghFrickinGardens. Must be seven or eight years since I first found your music. Back when LiveStreams just began and I used to sit in a specific spot at the top of our stairs with the clunky family laptop and escape for a while listening to you. I am so so glad you are getting the chance to play music to humans. And that I'm getting a chance to see you rock out again. Wishing you the very best thoughts and wishes, Claire
Beautiful insight into your world, and I adored the poem, it was perfect . I just feel waves of emotion, reminising of seeing you and Tessa in Cyprus Avenue in Cork and everyone singing in unison. Roll on my next Orla gig!
Excited to see you live again Orla in November ! And welldone India for filming some of this I'm very proud of you and I'm sure orla is to , you have had an amazing opportunity and it looks good x
came to the valentines day show not knowing you were going to play and almost lost my shit hearing your songs. i had covered I go crazy shortly before with that being the only song i really knew and liked but after that show (that acutally made me cry a bit) i fell in love with your music even though I grew up listening to rock and metal with dodie being my first foot in the pop music scene.
I just became your 'super-fan' within one day. First time I sought your video yesterday, but now i'm your fan. Actually, not a lot of music i love, but yours - is fantastic... You're my inspiration!
I discovered you when your song crazy appeared in my recommended, at this point I was already a HUGE Dodie fan and had seen you in her cover of "the chain" (which was amazing btw) but I never really checked you out. Anyway, when I listened to Crazy I immediately became a huge fan of yours and started binge-listening to all of your older songs. You are one of the most amazing artists I have ever listened to and each song you release inspires me to create music of my own. Love you and your work so much Orla, I hope to one day see you on tour xxx
Damn. Just discovered I missed you in Glasgow in November - and that's on top of missing your Dodie support slot cause they were so damn slow getting everyone inside.
I'd absolutely LOVE to see you live, but wasn't fast enough to get tickets.. Next time! Congratulations on the sold out venue and all your new bangers 🎉💃
I’m so grateful to have been a part of the crowd twice at Dodie’s tour and at your headline tour. I will forever cherish those nights, singing along with some of my closest friends knowing that the room was filled with so much love! Thank you for sharing your music!
Absolutely loved seeing you in London - I was the one who got you to sign my setlist in Lipstick! I’ve moved up North now, so I’ll be seeing you in Leeds and Manchester! Super excited to watch the video!
went to dodie’s manchester show knowing you exist and having listened to a few of your songs. you came on and i FELL IN LOVE with your music. the songs I knew I sung all the words to and the ones I didn’t I just hummed along when the chorus came round and danced like never before. it was a tough night of getting over some fears but it made it all the worthwhile when i waved to you from the audience and you waved back. thank you orla x
you were so absolutely incredible when you played support for dodie in copenhagen in february! this video made me miss the show so much and made me realise i not only want but NEED to see you play again sometime.
