Why It’s Hard To Ask For Help 

i am sso saddened that I am actually sitting here crying after hearing that Ryan has passed away...I in 2 days listened to endless of his videos and he was so relatable..and then I saw RIP RYAN..it ripped my heart into pieces...my son and both were crying and heartbroken to hear this..his honesty was amazing, I pray for his family tat his beautiful wife and family can receive enough help to be able to keep the home he lovingly was building for his growing family...I am just so sad and it is crazy that how can I have gotten such a great connection with him I'm a day....God Bless the family....oxoxox

Been clean from dope n subs since December 20th watched ur vids almost everyday when i was getting clean. Everyone gotta man up n go through the withdrawals n move on with ur life.

Absolutely true on all counts as always! Thanks Ryan. I find myself increasingly having conversations that don’t even make sense because they’re not listening just waiting for their turn to impart some information for their agenda. And there are lots of good people in the world and treatment despite the bad experiences that we tend to remember more for some reason.

I live with a rare medical condition...-Hypogammaglobulinemia.. yea I know.. anyways, I’m always in pain with something, but I quit taking meds like almost 5 months ago. Hated the fuzzy feeling. Ryan I'm at the most desperate point I have ever been.. Below rock bottom. For the last 3 years I have never gone more than 12 hours without a pill and the thought of what the withdrawal will be like to endure is making me feel depressed and sick. I have a 3 year old who counts on me and I know its time to do this. I'm absolutely petrified. When I tell people what I'm going through its almost as if they dont hear me. Im sad that I dont have any help... Its hard enough for me as it is and I can't imagine what the next few weeks hold if I stop. I feel like I'm damned if I do, damned if I dont. I'm clueless as what to do.

I have been watching you for about 3 years and your videos always seem to touch on what I need to hear that day. 70 day clean today after a long struggle with dope, Xanax and booze . Keep doing your thing brother and thank you for the knowledge and encouragement that you share

Ryan I had a friend who used to ask, "Are you listening to HEAR or listening to REBUT ?" Yes, a good deal of us commonly listen to rebut and not to UNDERSTAND. It's that human condition called self-orientation. It is quite refreshing and helpful, when we purpose to listen...to understand the heart of the other person. I am sure that I am guilty of that exchange myself, so it's good to reminded, "Let's listen to UNDERSTAND, instead of to REBUT (rehearsing our thoughts for our response). On a side note.
