I literally can watch Sunny every day and not tire of it! When will they win the lifetime achievement Emmy for best sitcom? Is that even a thing?

I honestly do not understand how Rob, Glenn, Charlie and everyone else do it. This show has been on for 15+ years. It started in 2005 and it's still relevant! And not only is it just as good as it's always been, many times it actually gets better. How many shows can you name that have even managed to last this long? Let alone not dip in quality, let alone stay good, LET ALONE get better!? It's truly mindblowing. And the fact they they write AND star in it is just..they are so talented it's unreal.

The show and would be lost without Charlie. He just seems so natural in his weirdness.

I love this episode because you get to see these usually incompetent people pull off an amazing plan in real time, it’s the perfect example of Chekhov's gun, everything has a purpose and seeing all these seemingly random things that don’t relate to the story get payed off is just an amazing experience.

Honestly I think the best example of Sunny's spotless absurdist humour is Frank being stuck a playground coil for an entire episode while the gang periodically extort business advice out of him, and the fact that they never explain why or even how he got in there

I got so stoked as soon as I realized this was about "Charlie Work" still one of the best episodes of television, much less IASIP of all time. I've watched this one so many times and it never gets old but that can be said of almost every episode of this amazing series. Everyone talks Friends, Seinfeld, Cheers, blah blah blah when talking about best sitcoms of all time but they really don't have shit on IASIP and that's why they're taking the crown of longest running live action sitcom of all time and I personally don't feel like the quality has dipped at all.

The most underrated show in American television history

Haven't watched in a while but the one that sticks out to me the most is when they kept retelling a story involving sweet Dee where she got more and more bird like in every iteration until she's eventually just an ostrich. One of the top ten laughs of my life.

i love how charlie keeps takeing the time to slam the stood in the middle of all the chaos just to set up a joke dee falling through the stool at the end....it shows no matter how serious the situation they cant help but pull jokes and pranks on eachother...

Been rewatching iasip to show it to my girlfriend.. this rewatch has showed me how great the show really is, seeing someone whose never seen it thoroughly enjoy it

I think its important to point at that FX is one of the few good studios that will let its creators be creative. If sunny had been on a major network, it woulda been cancelled after a few seasons and would have never been able to try the things it does. Freedom is necessary for creativity

The phrase “criminally underrated” will forever be reserved for It’s Always Sunny - that term grossly overused but it literally could not be more accurate for this show. Comedy geniuses

Of all the references to similar “one-shot” sequences, I can’t believe True Detective S1E4 wasn’t mentioned. I seem to recall someone from the show actually saying it was sort of an homage to that (critically acclaimed) episode.

Charlie work will always be a stand out episode. I had to watch it like 3 times to appreciate the full scope of what the hell was going on. It’s was pure chaos and fun. Watching him execute his elaborate plan was BRILLANT!

It's definitely the best episode of season 10 Personally, I put classic Sunny (seasons 1 through 7) leagues ahead of more recent seasons but the show's quality is remarkably consistent The observation that he's an idiot savant is very funny, I always thought he was a little too on top of things in this episode, he also probably skipped his glue that morning lmfao

IASIP is easily my favorite show of all time. There are no bad episodes, including the old lady sitcom or Dee-centric episodes. They all have something great to convey and do it spectacularly. I'm sad it's getting on in years and will likely be ended soon enough, but I will be here for every second of it until then.

The Maureen Ponderosa Wedding Massacre is the tightest, most pivotal IASIP event. It's the crux of the entire show. It unites previous seasons and is the springboard for so many subsequent seasons. Charlie Work stands out, all of a sudden, because it's a standalone that has nothing to do with The Maureen Ponderosa Wedding Massacre.

Charlie Work was an instant classic and favorite of mine. I think its my favorite episode, the way it was written, the cinematography, the pay off, everything about it was A-1.

It's an incredible coincidence that the episode chosen to show Always Funny's genius is through the eyes of Charlie, LITERALLY less then 24 hours after his actor was announced as the voice of Luigi in the upcoming Mario film

I love the whole... “thank you Tang See my dear, dear friend. A simple pill... ingested by a man... who received an idea, a simple thought, so clear and sharp, it cut through his mind like a soft cheese and led him to... an INVENTION!” scene. The whole episode is amazing but that scene is hilariously spot on acting by Charlie.

I didn’t know Luigi was a star of a TV show

It really is almost impossible to pick a perfect episode but The Gang Gets Analyzed, The Gangs Hits the Jersey Shore, Nightman Cometh, The Gang Goes To Hell, The Gang Goes to a Water Park, Sweet Dee Has a Heart Attack, The Gang Gets Held Hostage, Dee and Dennis Go on Welfare, etc are all great character based episodes where we see exactly how depraved and selfish they really are. Especially the Gang Gets Analyzed. That was the first episode I ever watched and really paid attention to and I fell in love with how bat shit insane they all are.

It's Always Sunny is one of my favorite shows of all time. It amazes me how fresh the creativity and humor still is after being on for years. It's something that other long-running shows, especially modern Simpsons and Family Guy, wish they have.

Although the newer episodes (as in 13 and 14) didn't make me chuckle as much, I do think the content is great and the writing is EXTREMELY smart. Looking forward to 4 more seasons of it!

I think a great part of what makes this show so good is the dynamic between the cast members. I love how Glenn has this unphased demeanor toward everything, no matter what ridiculous thing he says or how stupid it is he always sounds so composed and confident and it contrasts everyone's lunatic babbling and bickering so well, like he's the ring leader of a bunch of morons. Charlie day is the most manic character I've ever seen, hes written so well. You can tell theyre having fun writing and portraying their roles. Also with a comedic legend like Danny Devito, you cant go wrong.

blaming writers instead of the studio for not being able to one up the raunchiness is the main complaint I have here. The reason sunny got raunchier was because it was allowed too, the reason more raunchy comedies don't exist is because studios don't want to push that. It is easy to up the stakes over and over again, but maybe not easy to the level sunny does. Having said that it's very clear why we don't have what we want and that because the voices that are the loudest are the biggest complainers. Just like yelp most people aren't going on there to write a comment about how good their experience was, but the second something goes wrong they go straight to the keyboard. It's a sham and nothing more.

I don't care how many Emmys a show wins, how beloved it is, how successful it may be. No show will match It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. You cannot match what this show does, who the characters are, and how they will always be shitty people. Oh, and it's funny AF.
