inane conversation, the Afghanistan withdrawal was a disaster a few people died, 400,000 people died of COVID because they were misinformed about vaccines, completely forgotten and not relevant.
You guys are the least helpful coalition that any American should ever have to be stuck with. The world has progressed far past you, isn't listening anymore, and those few of us who may have tried; have just realized you can't be bothered to find a new way of existing, communicating, or God forbid being helpful It's almost like you have enough of your core morality to know that you cannot fully embrace Trump but not enough of it to put forth any effort. because being hopeful about America is just too cringe for you.
I've read your comment several times and I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to say. Progressed to what? Helpful how? What effort should they put forth?
@salex5412 How can they be honest enough to see that Donald Trump is a disaster but not to see that fair market neoconservatism has been a failure? The cynical nitpicking on Biden (who has gotten things done) as people here have not even kept their cohort connected to basic facts is ridiculous. It often feels like the Jonah's of the world are saying, "Donald Trump is a fundamental threat to America's ongoing project," and in the next breath, "but those student loans.." Where is the perspective? How are those two gripes anywhere near each other when it comes to the consequences? Other than the fact that they are predisposed to hating the student loan assistance.. People who study the fall of authoritarianism often discuss the folk who are deeply cynical about the system to the point where they giving up on it and these guys feel like they're stuck in between that crucible and can not make up their damn minds. If you are an American citizen, who sees any of this clearly, it's absurd to cat paw at your meal and pretend you're on the fence about the starkest choice in history. Principles mean nothing if they never survive a crucible.
It's interesting. I've seen a wide swath of opinions on who will win in November. Thinkers like Peter Zeihan believe it will be a blowout in Biden's favor. Whatever the result, I think both sides will reject it vehemetly.
