JV is helping Sarr just like he did Jaren Jackson in Memphis as a rook…that’s who people compare Sarrs game to…this was a great move by the wiz.

The whole time I’m hearing Kyle and was lost because I’m used to the Wiz broadcast calling him Kuz

I think Jonas helps us get from 15 wins to 20. At this point of the rebuild, absolutely fine with it. He’s a vet but he isn’t washed, and the deal isn’t an overpay at all. This isn’t like Ted and Tommy overpaying a mummified Taj Gibson, and then trying to compare him to Udonis Haslam.

Transitional signing to have a veteran out there. Wizards will continue the rebuild probably not win many games and have a solid draft pick for next year and make some deals to improve that position. Get a center in the draft next year and Jonas will be helpful in allowing time for the future center to be ready by 2026 with Jones wrapping up in 2027 at 35 years old.

Do you think this rules out bringing Vuk back? Thought he showed some potential last season and they declined his option Like you mentioned the Forward/Center position is crowded now

We declined player option so most likely giving him a 3-4 year contract

We should be aiming for 5-10 wins.

I doubt we win 20 games. That's too high for what they want to do. Kuz will definitely be gone.

News flash, you can vote when you're 18 here. Signing JV was a mistake. He's too slow to play with these young bucks. The play will be over by the time he gets down the court. If a losing record is what you're shooting for, then sure, it's a good move. But no true competitor will do that.

You wanna win 40 games in 2024 or be a championship competitor from 2029-2034? I truly do not understand how people do no understand this after being so mediocre for so many years

@@craighoffman All you have to do is get in the playoffs. How long were the Nats playing on a championship level and they only won one championship. What about the Caps? I think people underestimate the value of Sarr's international experience. If JV was brought in to eat minutes against beefier bigs, fine, but it's not some genius move that some are making it out to be. You can't fix this franchise in one season to be sure, but getting rid of Deni was questionable while keeping two others that only play defense if they think it'll make a highlight reel. Perhaps that's where JVs value lies, getting selfish players to develop a team first attitude. I guess we'll find out this fall. But to answer your question, I could be dead in 5 years, I want consistent competitive team play now. Consistent effort with a modicum of talent will usually get a team into the playoffs, and that's what every player and fan wants.

Sorry to be blunt, but I think you would benefit from paying attention to not just DC teams and realize the sports are different. This isn’t the MLB, NFL, or NHL. Who wins is FAR less random, and trying to do it your way is exactly why the Wizards haven’t won 50 games since 1979.

I prefer historical knowledge. Extreme far right political leaders in Europe don’t exactly have stellar resumes! (Not that far left does…but yeah. Europe. Far right. History. Bad!)
