Pure Taijutsu with minor concurrent flashbacks, this fight is one of the best. Personally my favorite.

FUN FACT: KAKASHI VS OBITO DISPROVE that age old assumption that “Visual genjutsu doesn’t work on the Rennigan” BECAUSE Kakashi and Obito had a genjutsu battle and it comes out as a COMPLETE TIE. Kakashi just had the one Sharigan while Obito had THE SAME Sharigan AND a Rennigan. AS WE CAN SEE it granted him ZERO GENJUTSU RESISTANCE and they TIED in their genjutsu battle.

Sasuke vs Danzo is a top tier fight imo.

Another time where the anime was better than the manga was in the Shikamaru revenge arc. They had a filler episode that explored Shikamaru's grief and it was great.

I don't think Kishimoto rushed the manga version, I think from the anime version it's a bit to accept that Obito was holding back, in the manga version there's pretty much no debate, some of Kakashi's fights are like that, he's weak so make his opponents weak as well thing, he should've really gotten a power up, and a genuine one at that, please do that in the rewrite he's my favourite character, thanks, great video btw

The most underrated fight imo is Naruto vs the Nine tails. That fight arguably has more build up than even Obito and Madara plus Naruto does some really cool stuff in it but no one talks about it.

This fight is completely underrated by everybody ngl top 5 fights in Naruto including Naruto v sasuke + minato v obito

To me that fight is one of my favorites, because in the anime you could feel the emotion in the fight. The way the fight was done In the anime, was great!

My favourite past of the fight is when it transitions from them about to make contact in their past fight to Obito pushing his past self aside and being about to kill Kakashi.

What I rank the two versions based on their quality: Anime = 9.5/10 meaning excellent to outstanding Manga = 5.5/10 meaning fair to favorable

This reminds me of how in the DBZ fandom Goku vs Majin Vegeta is often cited as one of the best fights in the series because the anime version added a lot to their exchange both making it look like a fight that would tire them out, giving Vegeta more speeches while in the manga its like 4 or 5 pages or something and mostly just a handfull of punches.

Unpopular opinion: it's not that rare that the Naruto anime improves the fights of the manga, especially when it comes to add extended taijutsu sequence. I actually prefer many fights in the anime, which I regard as extended versions of the ones seen in the manga.

I can't wait to see the Kakashi vs Sasuke fight get more oomph in your rewrite. I remember getting to that point in the manga, being so hyped, and then feeling totally blue-balled.

In the manga it’s much more obvious Obito let Kakashi lose and was sandbagging. So the anime version may be taking away what Kishimoto originally wanted. I’d say the fight is still good

See I don’t put this as the best fight howverr I put it as my favourite fight. Idk I have some personal connection to kid Obito and younger me was rooting for him I saw as joyous like me as a child, but grew up to be mad at the world :/ even thinking abt the fight between them was emotional I didn’t wanna see anyone truly hurt, esp with how Obito was right there willing to forgive Kakashi and start anew where he remembers his old friends being present in that space and time :( whole fight had me feeling so conflicted no matter how many times I watch it like I like no matter how many times I rewatch it, I always cry seeing the flashbacks of such a talented team incl Rin, and part of my chest aches…idk. Younger me just wish it didn’t have to come to that when the time came-current me still wishes it didn’t come to them fighting

When I reread Naruto manga, I was extremely DISSAPOINTED to this fight. Kishimoto by the end shelves the minor character fights in 1 chapter and I always felt that he was rushing to the end of the volume everytime......This is why Kaguya arc is also 1 volume.

Naruto had good choreography. Namely, Naruto vs Sasuke and Hiruzen vs Orochimaru. Then this one is good one maybe even the best choreography from Naruto Shippuuden. Because for the most of other fast paced taijutsu fights, dodging and attacking parts are just repeated frames.

The real answer: Because Kishimoto is consistent with Kakashi's limited chakra in the MANGA. And consistent with the reveal that Obito held back. The anime version (although good) is highly inconsistent.

Madara vs the shinobi alliance is op, and a top 5 for me personally, and imo naruto vs sasuke at the end of shippuden is a top 3 just based on how cool it was, although I dont think that the story should have broken from ninjas with magical powers into gods that wear ninja clothes
