Saying we shouldn't value his hardships was a bit harsh. I'll be the first to say anything about it. Anyone going through hardships and overcoming them will have value to the right people, and that's all that matters. Stuff like that should be celebrated. I was in a rough spot so I probably just felt annoyed that people say things like "you haven't even come close to suffering like ___.", When they have no idea. I think if I was to refine this, I'd say we shouldn't place higher value in someone overcoming hardship because they're famous. They'll obviously get more attention, but ideally people don't glamorize stuff like that and put a level of importance on said experiences.
