Why live on a houseboat in the Florida Keys?

if you have a vessel then you might want to just start calling the marinas and tell them you are ready for a slip ASAP. they might give you a price and timeline then. Or take a few day drive through the keys and ask in person. hang out these areas and visit. sometimes it's a matter of finding the right person. Another option is to join pages on Facebook ( look for key west community, or islamorada community) and ask there. sometimes is hard to find a rental slip but stay diligent. If your looking to buy, my wife (a realtor) can start looking.....rentals will probably run $1000 - $2000 & a purchase could range from $220k - 1 million.... depends on location.

Well the insurance depends on the value of the vessel. Our boat " "The MystiC" is not valued real high. We only Cary liability insurance. So my insurance is only around $120 monthly, but a replacement policy on a more expensive vessel including liability could cost as much as$500 - $1200 monthly. It's all revelant to the coverage and value to the boat.

lol....That Hook is all over the place! I made that bone hook about 17 years ago and have never taken it off. I made it like the Polynesian/Hawaiian culture did before they had hooks. They made their hooks back then from large bones from fish, animals, or ever their ancestors and used different size hooks for different fish. They wore the different size hooks around their neck. Once they went to traditional hooks, they always wore 1 for good luck at sea. They say the hook absorbs the oils from your body and eventually takes on the spirit of the person wearing it....IDK...Kinda cool ...Thx for watching
