I love that idea. It would be amazing if nintendo did this. I would also like maybe some more crossover characters other than link and the inklings and animal crossing like kirby or captain falcon or star fox or sonic or even pokemon
I hope that there’ll be new characters from Sega, Bandai namco, capcom, Konami, square enix, Taito, and Hudson soft.. Imagine racing as master Higgins from adventure island racing against megaman, Pac-Man, ryu, ken, mappy, Mario and sonic on a special race track based on the forgotten capcom arcade game F1 Dream..
Imagine the hachisuke cup with Hudson soft race tracks including a track based on Star soldier, and the palico cup with tracks based on capcom games including monster hunter.. Imagine hachisuke the Hudson soft bee as a new item, hachisuke can give you a golden koopa shell (that can be used multiple times for 30 seconds) or gold mushroom.
I've had this idea for so long, good to see some one else having this perspective as well. Making mario kart into a (good) live service game with no micro transactions would be perfect. I would play it to death.
You could argue that Mario Kart Tour had some sort live service model with constant updates. We were constantly getting new tracks, costumes, and events.
If MKU comes to Nintendo's new generation hybrid system, I would love to see The Big N collaborate with Bandai Namco and add some tracks based on arcade games in the Ultimate version.
Bandai Namco just recently made a sub-company specifically for working with Nintendo on things like the Mario Kart series, so that’s definitely not out of the question.
@@switchnxnot exactly. they just publicly named the internal bandi studio that has been THE studio for their nintendo and bandi co developed games. they made Mario Kart 7, 8, Tour, Smash 4 and Ultimate, etc. they didn’t make a new studio for Mario Kart, they just named and publicly acknowledged their internal nintendo development studio.
4:23 having a Limited time game Mode is not a Good Strategy. Since theirs some people out their who don’t have enough time to keep up with online gaming. It’s like adding a Feature to a game that The audience suddenly likes and feels necessary but having it Yanked out later on, makes it pointless. What’s the main Point in these game modes if they don’t remain permanent? Once it’s gone. Some folks will feel annoyed and not well respected.
In my opinion, I think what makes the free dlc idea good at times is when there's enough content at launch, so there's people actually playing the game when updates drop
Mission mode could also function like a daily challenge system, but those challenges would never truly go away, rather get rotated in and out from a set pool each "season". Rewards for these could be new character skins/coins for the in-game shop, while regular mission mode's rewards are characters and karts/kart pieces.
The downside is that you want the new mario kart to have a huge amount of content, content, and modes and to have a live service model, but it's most likely going to have micropayments, since many of the examples you showed have microtransactions
You are absolutely correct. They've already done something very similar to what you're proposing to Super Smash Brothers Ultimate with a mission mode that helps you gain experience, unlock new characters and abilities PLUS having the ability to create your own battle platforms.
They could even spruce up the limited time events by offering rewards for the top players. Say you rank #1 in your pool, you could get a Golden Mario costume, #2 a silver variant, and #3 bronze. It'd incentivise people even more to play, since it'd allow people to show off their prowess in the game.
Every character has a special unique ability or item, and Diddy Kong Racing like flying over and under water would be neat( and Mario Kart editor maybe.)
I want the next Mario Kart game to have all courses from the previous games and a lot of characters, such as Professor E. Gadd, Wart, Tantanga, a lot of the characters from the Mario & Luigi games (such as Fawful, Prince Peasley, and Starlow), Cappy, F.uL.U.D.D., a Luma, a Lumalee, Lubba, Toadsworth, Foreman Spike, Mario's family, a lot of enemies other than Koopa Troopa, Shy Guy, and Lakitu, Polterpup, Gooigi, all of the alternate costumes from Mario Kart Tour, Dixie Kong, Cranky Kong, Lanky Kong, Chunky Kong, Wrinkly Kong, Candy Kong, Prince Florian, Captain Falcon, a lot of Nintendo characters, more Power-up forms, and the WarioWare characters (they need to start including them in spin-offs as they are much more appealing than baby characters).
@@ruben._._34577it really didn’t in smash. Bad enough there are too many items, some of the characters are cheap as hell. Melee is where the franchise peaked
(Unrelated) The newcomers I want to see in Console Mario Kart is: King Bob-omb Banjo & Kazooie PAC-MAN Vivian & a random obscure Mario character (Especially one from the cartoons like Oogtar. Because I’m biased obscure things. Even if B&K are way more likely)
I have to disagree with characters being added through updates. I'd like to go back to the days of Mario Kart Wii where you start off with a small roster but gradually unlock characters as you progress through the game.
So basically. A Mario Kart tour but with a Unique Campaign Mode with Missions with month gameplay and content updates? That's cool and all but if this next turns out to be design baist to Wii/8 Deluxe....you'll can keep it yourself. To he'll with Mario Kart after that
They could have done this on Mariokart 8 Deluxe...If it's possible on a mobile phone, it's certainly possible on the current Switch. I hope that Nintendo will listen to people like you and the rest of the fans, but most of the times they don't !
I almost completely disagree with everything in this video. The next console is most likely backward compatible. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will be accessible there and is basically an ultimate. I think we need some fresh ideas. Definitely new karts, new stats, new characters, new tracks and cups, new battle modes, new items, etc. I don't want the same ol' stuff with maybe a fresh coat of paint. I doubt it will happen, but I'd very much like to see a system where we unlock or buy kart components and build our own karts with an rpg element of unlocking and grinding for status points we can use to upgrade the stats of our custom karts. I'd also like to see a robust character creation suite. Finally, I think the graphics and style need to look and feel much refined. Kind of like what they did with Super Mario Wonder.
Big Problem. Even if this was a 70$ prize game, if they would add this many tracks, they would need some way to monetize it. And no, the online subscribtion is not enough for this much.
If Nintendo direct shows the Mario Kart Ultimate For Nintendo Switch 2. With all characters I made the list. Karts. Courses. That'll be good. Cause I'm waiting on that one. And if they add track editor where you can create courses with textures. That'll be good too. I'll be waiting on that one as well. So is super Smash Bros Ultimate Deluxe for Nintendo switch 2 console. On the biggest Nintendo Direct. . . But the Nintendo Direct needs to make it happen. . Like when is Nintendo Direct coming up. . It has to be pretty soon. . And I thought it's gonna be the 7th. But its a scam 😡😡😡😡😡. Someone lied like a maggot. But I know Nintendo Direct is gonna come pretty soon. It's getting closer.
@@SwitchStop What is the probability of this happening because I Definitely want a new mainline Mario Kart & and when do you think the the Switch 2 will be revealed??
This actually sounds terribke 😂😂 I'd rather take a new, 48 course Mariokart with insanse graphics, story mode (or mission mode), tones of unlockables and great battle mode

the only other way i could possibly see them topping mk8 is if they made a mario kart game where you can design and make your own tracks and use different kind of aesthetic from different games (like gba mk, mk wii, mk double dash); essentially super mario maker but for mario kart. i’d have no clue on how they could go about making this (or if it’s even possible) but imagine being able to create your own 2d/3d track and uploading it and playing on other people’s courses as well. i think it would have to be its own thing (like how super mario maker is) in addition to another separate mk game but if they could pull that off properly, it could be a really fun game idea

8:10 As a Peachette main, I’m extremely disappointed, and my day is ruined. /j I am a Peachette main though. Also question, why is Peachette definitely not this? I get why Gold Mario isn’t, but Tanooki Mario is just a random power uped Mario. At least Peachette is a unique/more distinctive form to her like Dry Bowser.
