It is very hard for us as so called normal human beings, to begin to understand people like Mickey and De Niro, so the only way I can sum it up is that De Niro had a great career from the beginning but toward the end of his career, he has become a real creep! Having said this, Mickey has stayed a ntrue and honest actor all his career and has not changed at all and is still making honest movies in his later years without becoming a phony creep, like De Niro!

Two sides to every story. I think De Niro might have a different take on this so I’ll reserve judgement. No offence to Rourke, but you only have to look at his face to see he hasn’t always been in the best state of mind. De Niro’s on-set reputation throughout his career has been one of a somewhat quiet introvert. I still love them both - they’re just two very different personalities.

My understanding is that DeNiro's attitude flowed from his method acting approach. Rourke took it personally. I do not think that DeNiro was being a child. If anything, Rourke's reaction was childish.

I do think that some of De Niro's demands are a tad ridiculous and indicative of a "better than you," attitude. But Rourke needs to let go of the hatred and bitterness, and he needs to move on. He's just coming across as very childish. To be honest, I don't think much of either one of them as people. Rourke comes across as a guy with a big mouth who wants to stir the pot, and De Niro comes cross as a snob. Neither personality impresses me.
