Respected Sir, Sir I am 19yrs old girl and i am having hairloss since when i was 16. My haemoglobin level is low (i.e. 9 ) but i consumed tablets to overcome and then got increased in haemoglobin level. Then again for the second time i had weakness so when i checked my haemoglobin level it was low again ,then i ate tablets, increased my haemoglobin level. I never eat junk foods. I always have my nutritious meals and daily fruits. I drink 2ml water everyday. *I felt so bad because my friends hair are to thick and my hair are toooo weak this always makes me fell embarrassed. I am stressed now* "I have consulted my dermatologist he gaved me Minotress minoxidil topical solution USP 5% i thought i would bring my hair back. But its now my one month complete and i am too hairfall after using this minoxidil " what should I do i am worried because more than 30 hair per day loses from my scalp. Kindly Reply, Thankyou.
Hi Mohak Waghmare, Sorry to hear that, but even with your dermatologist visit, the cause of your hair loss is not clear. It is normal to shed 50-100 hairs a day, and they do grow back. Pattern hair loss happens when the shed hair grows back thinner, and there is a delay in regrowth. You can refer to these videos on how we diagnose and treat female pattern hair loss: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2WhELyekG4A.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aTb_Evz1jIM.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eIFL1-mrg0I.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lbngJ1a5GIw.html
Hi Thanh Vu, Minoxidil won't thicken your hair, or stop hair loss, but it appears to delay the hair shedding cycle, and extends the hair growth cycle so you appear to have more hair on your head. You will have to use it daily to sustain these effects, but these effects can also decrease with time even if you use it daily. Since minoxidil delays the hair shedding cycle, and prolongs the hair growth cycle, if you stop using it, you will likely have a significant hair shed. You can refer to these videos about the limits of minoxidl, and why our TrichoStem Hair Regeneration patients can stop using minoxidil entirely after our injection treatment: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sv82XSpQfnI.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T5iPdCfZ2Ng.html
I was loosing hair on front top down to about half way. I began applying Rogaine and began loosing a ton of hair (obviously abnormal and sudden with the application of Rogaine) it was obviously due to the Rogaine that’s how abnormal it was, I lost hair where I wasn’t thinning on my crown. But I believe it got minoxidil on it (sense I use the liquid and it can flow back) thus lost hair.
Hi MultiStack, Sorry to hear about your problem. Minoxidil won't thicken your hair, or stop hair loss, but it appears to delay the hair shedding cycle, and extends the hair growth cycle so you appear to have more hair on your head. You will have to use it daily to sustain these effects, but these effects can also decrease with time even if you use it daily. Since minoxidil delays the hair shedding cycle, and prolongs the hair growth cycle, if you stop using it, you will likely have a significant hair shed. It's not clear if you shed hair when you first started using minoxidil, or if it occurred after you've used it for some time. You can refer to these videos about the limitations of minoxidil, and why our TrichoStem Hair Regeneration patients can stop using minoxidil completely after our injection treatment: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sv82XSpQfnI.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T5iPdCfZ2Ng.html
Hi Shubhashree Behera, Telogen effluvium is temporary hair shedding, and the shed hair does grow back without medical treatment. Minoxidil appears to delay the hair shedding cycle, and extends the hair growth cycle so you appear to have more hair on your head. You will have to use it daily to sustain these effects, but these effects can also decrease with time even if you use it daily. Since minoxidil delays the hair shedding cycle, and prolongs the hair growth cycle, if you stop using it, you will likely have a significant hair shed, which can appear like telogen effluvium. I haven't examined your scalp for concurrent hair thinning, so I don't know your exact diagnosis. That said, if I see only hair shedding due to telogen effluvium, I don't prescribe medication or treatment. I hope this clarifies things for you.
@@AmiyaPrasadMD My TE due to nmy weight loss.My doctor recommended me Sone vitamin and Minoxidil5%.He said that no oil for 4month ..Now what will i do Sir ?Plz sir reply me .. Every day i am loosing 300 hair ..When i am washing uncountable hair fall..Plz sir reply me? Minoxidil have some effect? Plz sir give some suggestions. In this tension i left my job..PLz help me sir
Hi@@shubhashreebehera895, Your weight loss, plus your current anxiety are contributing to the stress on your body that caused telogen effluvium. As I have not examined your scalp, you can follow your doctor's advice. I'm just saying my patients (which you are not as we've not had a consultation) aren't prescribed medication, including minoxidil, for telogen effluvium. Shed hair due to telogen effluvium does grow back sometime after the stressors that caused it are resolved. I hope this helps you
Hi Rahul Ramesh, As explained in the video, minoxidil does have limited effectiveness in pattern hair loss treatment, and also, you haven't used it long enough to gain benefit from it. Finasteride is more beneficial than minoxidil as it can slow down and stabilize hair thinning, and it can be used long-term more predictably. You can refer to these more recent videos on the limitations of minoxidil, and why our TrichoStem Hair Regeneration patients can stop using minoxidil after our injection treatment: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sv82XSpQfnI.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T5iPdCfZ2Ng.html

Hi Sahil Chaulagain, Minoxidil won't thicken your hair, or stop hair loss, but it appears to delay the hair shedding cycle, and extends the hair growth cycle so you appear to have more hair on your head. You will have to use it daily to sustain these effects, but these effects can also decrease with time even if you use it daily. I do think finasteride is more beneficial than minoxidil as it can slow down and stabilize hair thinning, and it can be used long-term more predictably. If you want to thicken thinning hair and stimulate hair growth from dormant hair follicles as seen in the video, you can consider the Hair Regeneration treatment featured in the video. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi Matthew francis, Overuse of minoxidil will not damage hair follicles, but it will more likely cause contact dermatitis, or irritation to the scalp. Since minoxidil delays the hair shedding cycle, and prolongs the hair growth cycle, if you stop using it, you will likely have a significant hair shed. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi Nirvana trades, Minoxidil doesn't cause baldness. However, minoxidil delays hair from normally shedding so it looks like they have more hair. When people stop using minoxidil, their hair shedding is usually more than normal, so they fear they are suddenly losing hair. Shed hair grows back. Pattern hair loss is when shed hair grows back progressively thinner, and there is a delay in regrowth. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi sir, I am soma...i using morr 3% (minoxidil) from 1month but after using 1 month I see my hair fall increase...daily I loose my 150 or 200 hair...is it normal to use minoxidil
Hi M.S Kitchen, Sorry to hear that. Did you stop using minoxidil? Minoxidil won't thicken your hair, or stop hair loss, but it appears to delay the hair shedding cycle, and extends the hair growth cycle so you appear to have more hair on your head. Hi Satyajeet, Minoxidil won't thicken your hair, or stop hair loss, but it appears to delay the hair shedding cycle, and extends the hair growth cycle so you appear to have more hair on your head. Since minoxidil delays the hair shedding cycle, and prolongs the hair growth cycle, if you stop using it, you will likely have a significant hair shed. If you are male, finasteride is more beneficial than minoxidil as it can slow down and stabilize hair thinning, and it can be used long-term more predictably. You do need to see a doctor before using finasteride as it's a prescription medication. Hi Saumik Kar, I generally don't find topical minoxidil that effective, or effective for long-term use, and oral minoxidil is even less than topical. You can refer to these more recent videos on the limitations of topical minoxidil, and how TrichoStem Hair Regeneration patients stop using minoxidil altogether: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sv82XSpQfnI.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T5iPdCfZ2Ng.html
The shedding phase lasts for how long? Coz after I started using minoxidil (last year September) I saw very good results and my confidence was on the next level but after a couple of months (from March 2021) while I m still using minoxidil and finasteride my hair fall started and its worse than b4 and my confidence has crashed down again. Please help. Will the hair fall stop or should I go for PRP or transplant.
Hi Vincy Parmar, Minoxidil won't thicken your hair, or stop hair loss, but it appears to delay the hair shedding cycle, and extends the hair growth cycle so you appear to have more hair on your head. You will have to use it daily to sustain these effects, but these effects can also decrease with time even if you use it daily. Since minoxidil delays the hair shedding cycle, and prolongs the hair growth cycle, if you stop using it, or if it stops working, you will likely have a significant hair shed. PRP alone, or hair transplants are not your only alternatives. You can review these videos on TrichoStem Hair Regeneration as a hair transplant, minoxidil, and PRP alone alternative, but it does not replace finasteride: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Zi6Bxog9_SE.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T5iPdCfZ2Ng.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vZAGaAssewY.html
Sir, I'm using minoxidil from 1 month onwards but my hair loses more compare with previous time when I didn't use this drug...Can I continue the using of this drug... Is it effective or should I had to stop??
Hi Naresh Thammishetti, Minoxidil is a rather limited treatment, and effects are not sustainable. Finasteride is more beneficial than minoxidil as it can slow down and stabilize hair thinning, and it can be used long-term more predictably. You do need a prescription for finasteride, so you need to see a doctor for a proper diagnosis before taking it. Our TrichoStem Hair Regeneration patients don't need to use minoxidil at all, but men with high DHT-sensitivity would still continue to take finasteride with our treatment, as seen in this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T5iPdCfZ2Ng.html I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi yemenking1889, The chances of side effects from finasteride are pretty rare at about 2% of users having them. I've had patients who were on finasteride for 20 years who didn't suffer from side effects. You can refer to this video about it - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4afLQ05b7yI.html
Hi, mr prasad, I am 23 and everyone in my family has good hair. I used to have dandruff and very high iritation. So I consulted a doctor (online consultation) and he prescribed me onabet SD and minoxidil 5 %. I have been using minoxidil for the past 9 months , but I feel like I am still losing hair especially from the front side. Can u please reply if u can find the problem.
Hi Nirvana trades, Minoxidil won't thicken your hair, or stop hair loss, but it appears to delay the hair shedding cycle, and extends the hair growth cycle so you appear to have more hair on your head. You will have to use it daily to sustain these effects, but these effects can also decrease with time even if you use it daily. The genes for pattern hair loss can come from several generations from both sides of your family. If you have male pattern hair loss at your age, you are likely highly DHT-sensitive, and would need a DHT-blocker like finasteride to control it. Finasteride is more beneficial than minoxidil as it can slow down and stabilize hair thinning, and it can be used long-term more predictably. FInasteride does require a prescription, so a consultation and diagnosis are needed before starting on the drug. If you want to thicken thinning hair, and stimulate growth from dormant hair follicles. you can look into the TrichoStem Hair Regeneration treatment featured in the video.
Hi shoeb ss, Since minoxidil delays the hair shedding cycle, and prolongs the hair growth cycle, if you stop using it, you will likely have a significant hair shed. It is normal to shed 50-100 hairs a day, but the hair will grow back. Pattern hair loss happens when those hairs grow back thinner after every shed, there is a delay in regrowth, and the number of regrowth cycles become more limited. Finasteride is more beneficial than minoxidil as it can slow down and stabilize hair thinning, and it can be used long-term more predictably. You can refer to these videos on how our TrichoStem Hair Regeneration patients can stop using minoxidil after our injection treatment, and how we can go beyond finasteride alone, but the injection treatment is not a replacement for finasteride in men who are highly DHT-sensitive: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sv82XSpQfnI.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T5iPdCfZ2Ng.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fLSB-tE0gco.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4YowPNRsv6I.html
Hi sir ... I am Arindam from kolkata .... I am 23 years old ... I am using minoxidil 5% and finasteride for 2 months ...but my hair fall is still continue .. every day approximately more than 80 hair are falling ... What should I do ?.. Please help
Hi All in one by ARRY, Male pattern hair loss is progressive hair thinning, not hair shedding. Shedding 50-100 hairs a day is normal as those hairs do grow back. Pattern hair loss happens when shed hair grows back thinner with every growth cycle, until it grows back very thin, then stops growing altogether. Finasteride will slow down hair thinning, but will not stop it completely. The TrichoStem Hair Regeneration treatment featured in the video can thicken thinning hair, and stimulate hair growth from dormant hair follicles, but it also does not treat DHT, so a DHT-blocker like finasteride is needed for male patients with high DHT-sensitivity for best results, and longer lasting results. If you stop using minoxidil, you will have more than a usual hair shed. You can refer to this video about how our TrichoStem Hair Regeneration patients can stop using minoxidil altogether, but men with high DHT-sensitivity still need to continue with finasteride after our treatment - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T5iPdCfZ2Ng.html
Hi Deepshikha Tiwari, Sorry to hear about your problem. Minoxidil is not a reliable treatment as it delays natural hair shedding, but if you stop using it, or use it too long, you can get a sudden hair shed. You should see your doctor regarding hormone therapy for PCOS. We do treat women with PCOS-related hair loss with our TrichoStem Hair Regeneration treatment, but this is done on a case-by-case basis since it's primarily a treatment for female pattern hair loss. The treatment is not PRP alone, and I don't administer PRP alone for hair loss. You can see more about this treatment in these videos, as its differences from PRP alone: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aTb_Evz1jIM.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eIFL1-mrg0I.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vZAGaAssewY.html
Sir I am 2 years before hair hairtransplant but 1st years results is good after slow results Verybad I used finastred and minoxidil which problem please help
Hi Vicky Vicky, It unclear with your name if you are male or female, but it sounds like you are male. What age did you have your hair transplant? It sounds like your problem is due to very aggressive pattern hair loss, and you may have gotten a transplant at too young an age. You can refer to these videos about being too young for transplantation, what to expect after a transplant, and how to improve transplant results: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2GkCy-30hFg.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xfuF2Lqx7mk.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-A3huSHGYrFU.html
Hi Vinay Rockz, I don’t administer PRP alone for hair loss because it has a limited effect on hair, usually just short-term hair growth. Also, the number of sessions needed does vary, and the longevity of results is unpredictable. Hair Regeneration is a PRP combination treatment where PRP is the activator of the main ingredient extracellular matrix by ACell. Hair Regeneration is a one-time treatment for most patients, and can last up to 5 years and beyond, depending on the aggressiveness of the hair loss pattern. You don't need repeat injections periodically, and many older Hair Regeneration patients don’t need maintenance drugs like finasteride, but finasteride can concurrently help younger male patients with very early and aggressive hair loss. PRP injections for hair loss are needed indefinitely. Hair Regeneration patients can stop or be weaned off minoxidil after treatment. I hope this clarifies things for you.
I read that Minoxidil inhibits collegen production. Does it inhibit collegen production in general simply from using it, or only on the applied area? Please let me know.
I don’t suffer from baldness, but I did want to use it on my thin edges. Even though I’m not balding if I stop minoxidil at some point will all the hairs that grew fall out?
Hi Imani Annissa, Minoxidil won't thicken your hair, or stop hair loss, but it appears to delay the hair shedding cycle, and extends the hair growth cycle so you appear to have more hair on your head. You will have to use it daily to sustain these effects, but these effects can also decrease with time even if you use it daily. Since minoxidil delays the hair shedding cycle, and prolongs the hair growth cycle, if you stop using it, you will likely have a significant hair shed. I hope this clarifies things for you.
I've used minoxidil for 3 weeks and a half on my beard, and started to shed hair of my head alot, so I panicked and stopped using it, it's been a week and 2 days and my hair keeps falling. I've lost volume. Is my natural volume of hair going to grow back again?? When is the hair fall going to stop?? 😭
Hi TheSethList, Sorry to hear about your problem, but it is common to experience significant hair shedding if you stop using minoxidil because the drug delays the normal hair shedding cycle. The shed hair does grow back, unless you have male pattern hair loss where there can be a delay in hair regrowth after normal shedding. I hope this clarifies things for you.
I’m noticing a heavier then normal shedding amount in my hair. Anyone who looks at my hair would say I have a full and thick head of hair but I am now noticing that the thickness in the front of my hair has thinned out. It’s especially noticeable when styling my hair. I can see my scalp now very easily if my hair is wet or gelled. Is this something I could use minoxidil for? I have taken dutasteride regularly daily for 13 years for BPH so I’m guessing finasteride would have no effect? I mainly just want to thicken or keep what I have on my head and stop that frontal area thinning out. Could this be a regular shedding cycle or does that seem excessive? I’m 39. I ordered minoxidil but I’m no her starting it. Waiting to see if I’m jumping the gun on that.
Hi Ripley Nostromo, DHT-blockers like dutasteride and finasteride are for slowing hair thinning due to scalp DHT-sensitivity, not really for thickening hair. Minoxidil doesn't thicken hair at all, but rather delays normal hair shedding so it appears like you have more hair, but these hairs can shed suddenly and severely if you stop using it daily, or if it loses effectiveness over time. A proper evaluation is needed to determine the cause of your hair loss, but you can refer to this video about how we thickened thinning hair in men who were already on finasteride for well over a decade - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4YowPNRsv6I.html
Hey, I am using minoxidil from last 4months, but still experiencing continuous hair shedding. My doctor suggested me to add pure LCLT 1.2g and caffeine 1g to my 60ml minoxidil solution, should I go for it? Is it safe?
Hi Gaurav Khubchandani, I don't have experience with that type of modified treatment, so I can't say. You do need to consider that shedding will always be an issue with minoxidil, especially if you stop using it, or if you use it too long. Our TrichoStem Hair Regeneration patients don't need to use minoxidil at all after our treatment. You can refer to these more recent videos on the limits of minoxidil, and why our patients don't need it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sv82XSpQfnI.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T5iPdCfZ2Ng.html
Hello Sir.. I used mintop 5% minioxidil on beard for 3-4 weeks.. but experienced hair loss on scalp and i have stopped using it now.. i also do regular gym and was taking isolate protein shake from 15 days.. will i get my shedded hair back? Do you recommend to stop using minioxidil for beard.. please reply sir. Waiting for your message
Hi Gagandeep Kaur, Minoxidil can cause hair to shed when you stop using it, but it should grow back. Pattern hair loss is when shed hair grows back thinner, and their is also a delay in hair regrowth. While I don't specialize in beard hair growth, I recommend you stop using minoxidil if you don't want your scalp hair to shed beyond the normal 50-100 hairs a day. I hope this helps you.
Sir , I am 18 I using minoxidal last 20 days , I see my hair fall is increased . Before using minoxidal my hairfall is approximately 20- 35 but after using of minoxidal for 20 days my hairfall become 70 per day . please sir, tell mi can I continue minoxidal after my increased hairfall or stop minoxidal. Sir Please reply .....🙏 I am waiting for your response.......... I am so depressed 😢....
Hi Kasatkar Sagar, Sorry to hear about your problem. It is unclear if you are male or female, but you should be seeing a doctor to confirm pattern hair loss if you are losing hair. For males, finasteride is a more effective treatment for pattern hair loss, but it is only available with a prescription. Our male and female TrichoStem Hair Regeneration patients don't need to use minoxidil at all after their injection treatment. You can refer to these videos about the limitations of minoxidil, and why our patients don't need it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sv82XSpQfnI.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T5iPdCfZ2Ng.html
Its been 2weeks i have been using minoxidil. I had shedding for 2 weeks but now it has stooped and i can see some new hair growth. So will more hair gorw after 6months.
Hi Aanip 1993, One of the main problems with minoxidil is that you can experience a lot of hair shedding if you stop using it, and you will be back to where you started. This can also occur if it is used too long. It's not clear if you are male or female, but I would suggest finasteride as better treatment for male pattern hair loss as it addresses DHT and hair thinning. Hi Junaid Baba, I have patients on finasteride for over 20 years who have not reported any side effects. Risk of side effects of finasteride is about 2% in patients, so it’s very rare. The initial and later studies of finasteride show sexual side effects being not much different between those who took finasteride, and those who took the placebo. There are more common causes of erectile dysfunction, which also affect men who are not on finasteride, including stress, excessive alcohol intake, smoking, lack of sleep, lack of exercise, an unhealthy diet, and aging. Often, men on finasteride overlook their lifestyle choices if they encounter problems, but a healthier lifestyle needs to be considered as well. You can refer to this video about the risk of side effects from finasteride - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4afLQ05b7yI.html
Sir, I used 2 bottles of minoxidil. One a sample bottle and other one the original. (Total 2 month). Sir, my hair fall did not stopped. Why sir plz answer me 🙏🙏🙏
Hi Rahul Ramesh, As explained in the video, minoxidil does have limited effectiveness in pattern hair loss treatment, and also, you haven't used it long enough to gain benefit from it.
Hi pranjal saxena, Minoxidil won't thicken your hair, or stop hair loss, but it appears to delay the hair shedding cycle, and extends the hair growth cycle so you appear to have more hair on your head. You will have to use it daily to sustain these effects, but these effects can also decrease with time even if you use it daily. I do think finasteride is more beneficial than minoxidil as it can slow down and stabilize hair thinning, and it can be used long-term more predictably. Our Hair Regeneration patients can stop using minoxidil altogether, although younger male patients with high DHT-sensitivity do continue with finasteride after the treatment. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Sir, my dermatologist diagnosed me with adrogenetic alopecia but personally I feel that my hairline looks pretty healthy and there is no hairfall. He prescribed me with a 5% minoxidl+ finasteride lipid solution and some tablets of D-biotin, N-acetyl cysteine and an anti-dandruff shampoo. Now if I use these medications will it lead to hairloss? I'm 22 y/o
Hi Nehal Roy, Male pattern hair loss is progressive hair thinning, which can be confirmed by a microscopic examination of your scalp. The medications you are prescribed won't lead to hair loss as they won't cause your hair to thin. I would have to see your results to confirm male pattern hair loss, but generally I do find oral finasteride a more effective treatment for men with high DHT-sensitivity that is a major cause of thinning scalp hair. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi IAMATRIX XKYA, The effects of minoxidil can wane, even if you use it every day, so it can't be said for certain that it will work equally as well if you start again.
Hi@@adamryan5682, Minoxidil won't thicken your hair, or stop hair loss, but it appears to delay the hair shedding cycle, and extends the hair growth cycle so you appear to have more hair on your head. If you stop using it, the hair that was prevented from shedding naturally can suddenly shed. Pattern hair loss is not sudden, but a gradual thinning of hair until it stops growing. Finasteride is a more effective treatment as it slows hair thinning, and treats DHT. The Hair Regeneration treatment featured in the video can thicken thinning hair, and stimulate growth for dormant hair follicles, which doesn't require minoxidil use, but finasteride is used in conjunction with this treatment for men with high DHT-sensitivity. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi I have been using minoxidil for about 6 months i have more then a 100 hair falls. May i know why is that ?Ther first 2 month i had hair fall ,and in month 3 to 4 i had not much seen hair fall but in 5 th month i had started seeing hair fall every day till now
Hi Samith S, It is normal to shed 50-100 hairs a day, and they do grow back. Minoxidil does affect hair shedding as it delays normal hair shedding, but if you stop using it, or if it loses effectiveness, the hair it delays from shedding can shed at the same time, leading to an increased shed. You can refer to these more recent videos about the limitations of minoxidil, and why our TrichoStem Hair Regeneration patients can stop using minoxidil altogether: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sv82XSpQfnI.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T5iPdCfZ2Ng.html
Hi vietclick, Side effects of finasteride are pretty rare, but I've had some patients over the years have side effects since I've prescribed it since 1998. Of the few patients who had side effects, they just stopped the drug, or we were able to identify a different but more common cause like stress, lack of sleep, and lack of exercise, and were able to return to normal function. None of my patients have had long-term side effects from finasteride. I hope this clarifies things for you.
