Original design of Victoria Terminus got interchanged with Flinders Station in Melbourne which was built in the same time by the same construction company which built the VT Mumbai. That's why it has Gothic Architecture
Great work Mayank! I love the focus on the history of the country. What some of my hjstory teachers couldn't do, you achieve in all your videos. And it's really cool to see modern India with a historical context. It really shapes the way modern India is today. Love the amount of research. I wouldnt even mind longer videos xD Keep up the beautiful work!
00:00 🚂 CSMT started as Victoria Terminus in 1888, replacing Bori Bunder station, one of India's oldest. 02:18 🏛 Mumbai's expansion from seven islands to Old Bombay began in 1684, fostering early industries like fishing and agriculture. 04:46 🌍 The Great Indian Peninsula Railway connected Bombay to Pune in 1853, catalyzing regional trade in cotton, silk, sugar, and spices. 09:02 🚉 Victoria Terminus became Mumbai's busiest station by 1890, handling over 1 crore passengers annually within two years of its opening. 14:36 🏛 CSMT, now Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004 for its Victorian Gothic architecture.
Just some feedback. The history part in your videos seems well researched. However, if nearly half of an infra themed video is just history, it feels too stretched. Maybe try to focus on the more important historical points from next time. Overall, love your work!
thank thankk you so much ❤ sir your videos deserve millions of views like your research is very very good and deep, just love your content and efforts!! bohot bohot kuch sikhne mila, itna pata tha BOMBAY special hai pr itna ye nhi pata tha. like jaha pe past itna kuch ho chuka, aur aaj ham bhi yaha pr reh rahe hai, this feeling is on next level 😊💯❤ lots of love for u!!
The man behind indian railway was nana shankersheth ,and he was the amongst first passenger of VT to thane train....he gave his house as first railway office. His name should be given to VT station...as Nana shankersheth terminus....NSTM... Nana Shankersheth Terminus Mumbai
British has done more good to us than our own so called monarchs. Even after more than 75 years of independence we haven't been able to make any structure as beautiful as Victoria terminus
Dear creator Mumbai and Maharashtra are not different, Mumbai is the part of Maharashtra and also capital of Maharashtra. So before creating videos on geography kindly do the study on Indian states also. (A proud Maharashtrian❤)
You should first give video on sealdah which is far busier and bigger station than csmt its have over 15 lakh people footfall It need massive infrastructure improvements the metro connectivity between howrah and Sealdah soon available in 2025 early January even today howrah and esplande only 4 stations has massive ridership
Surat is the 8th largest city in india. It just broke 10 million in population. It's second largest city in Gujarat and one of the only 9 cities in india to have more population than 10 million. Surat is getting a good metro system. Surat has a huge international airport and a extremely busy railway station located on the Delhi Mumbai line. Surat is connected directly to the dedicated freight corridor. Surat is getting bullet train which will connect Surat to delhi and mumbai and other cities like pune and ahmedabad. vande bharat go through Surat each day with 2 in each direction every day connecting Surat to ahmedabad. Surat will also have delhi mumbai expressway passing through. Surat is also going to be connected to chennai Surat expressway. Surat is one of the fastest growing cities in india and now its going to get a high speed ring road. Nh 48 passes through Surat to connect it to delhi' ahmedabad and mumbai. So many things are happening in Surat. I don't know why u think Surat is being neglected.
@@jayashreee1 bro just ask suratis if surat is neglected or not. And for your information surat population is approx 8 million. Also surat is 9th largest city in terms of gdp.
I was saying 8th largest in terms of population. And surat actually hit 10 million. I know that for a fact since there is a list that tells the population of all the large cities in india.
