I have the iPhone 15 pro max and I love it. I use it heavily every day and the battery is going strong! The best so far out of all my iPhones. My iPhone 14 Plus before this phone went down 1% every month.
Worst thing on iPhone 15 was the addition of charging cycles. Who needs the stress? Battery health's no better. Why should I worry? Just advise that people change their battery every 2 to 3 years and let us worry about something that actually matters.
Just don’t look at it. People complained that Apple didn’t have it, now they expose the data people are complaining about it. They can’t win, we wanted granular information and control of the iPhone… now we have it. Just don’t use the feature if you don’t like it.
I have a 15 Pro Max and I’m currently at 97% with 278 cycles. After hitting the 250 mark and also running a public beta for about a month it dropped 3% from the 100%.
Trust me the beta thing was created to damage batteries so that we can buy the upcoming iPhone 16 instead of going for battery replacement. I went from 100% on my 15pro 95 in 2 weeks
@zhila5958 yes. The more energy you tranfer the hotter your phone and battery will get, the more damage it will do overtime. Magsafe is extremely bad for battery. Instead of the energy going directly to the battery, it has to go through your phone's back and wastes SO MUCH energy that becomes heat, damaging the battery. It's simple physics. The worst thing you can do to your iphone is use magsafe, which is why this guys battery health is so low. I got a friend with the 15 pro max who's been using it for like 9 months now. 100% battery health still. Don't blame the phone for terrible battery health if you ignore physics.
180 cycles and 100 percent battery health so far 15pro max, using cable charging only and I don’t charge overnight use dark mode most of the time and low power mode regularly.
I've found that not going past 80% is the best possible thing. my 2 year old 14 pro has 90% health and probably 700 cycles. I use fast charging and wireless charging all the time and it gets hot during both with doesn't seem to hurt much, considering my last phone was at 80% after two years and I charged to 100% every time.
My 1TB iPhone 15 Pro Max is currently at 99% battery health 🔋. I exclusively use an old 12w iPad charger, limit the full charge to 80%, and keep the iPhone away from excessive heat. Every once in a while the phone will heat up on its own, so I just quickly turn on battery saver mode to force all the processors (and radios) to calm down. Which has the effect of cooling the phone.
IPhone 15 Pro Max user here I’m at 160 cycles still at 100% battery health, I don’t charge overnight, I don’t wireless or magsafe charge I only charge when I need a charge anywhere between 45 minutes - 90 minutes of charging using Apple’s own charging brick and usb-c cables nothing else.
I use iphone 15 plus and I’m at 99% after 175 cycles. I never have a regular charging schedule. I’ve charged overnight many times, in rare occasions i let the phone hit 0% before charging it. Never care about charge before 20% and stop when hit 80%. More often than not i fully charged it. But sometimes i also disconnect it at random %. Heck i even did multiple short charging in one day, suck all the juice in one day, or when not really use it, i only charge it after one and half or two days. This stuff about battery health % is so random, I don’t think my phone really at 99%
@@hid4mine was about the same.. it stays 100% well upto 150+ cycles.. but lately health is dropping at a faster rate.. its 95% now at 255cycles 😌 iphone 15+
@@MrSamPhoenix yep. I got the belkin 3 in 1 wireless charger and have used it for charging my iPhone 13 but I feel like it has only degraded my battery. Sometimes it would heat up my phone though it wouldn’t be for a long duration.
154 charge cycles since December 2023 and I’m still at 100 percent! I utilize the 80% charge limit because there’s a charger at my desk and in my car, so 80% works for me. But I do charge to 100% on weekends. And I mostly use MagSafe.
I got an iPhone 14 since November, I charge it every 2 or 2,5 days and I’m 100 health! The first time I charge it with 20W charger and I noticed it it got very hot, and then I bought an original 5W charger and since then no heat problems! It makes sense if you quick charge it all the time and most of times 2 times a day to degrade so fast! I see some people say for example 250 cycles in just a couple of months, that is too much for a battery!!! Normal use for an iPhone 15 pro max it last easily for 2 days! If people play all the time with the phone and overheats makes sense it will degrade fast…
I use a 15 Pro Max I’m at 360 cycles but I’m at 94% capacity, but also I only charge using Apple 20W Block with the USB-C wire that comes in the box with the phone. I believe the best way to use your phone without dropping in capacity (quickly) is charging in small amounts rather than going from 20% to 80%. If I’m at 30% I’ll charge to only about 60% and then give the phone time to cool and then continue charging to another 30%. I also believe you should charge to 100% every once in a while or so to keep the battery recalibrated to knowing it can actually reach the amount you want to charge to.
After 2 years of usage ; I sold my 13 pro max on 90% BH . Then my 14 pro max after 8 months at 100% . Now I’m rocking on 15 pro max for three months and my battery at 100% . I believe it’s all about good and bad usage .
Iphone 13 Pro Max at 88%. First use Jan 2022. I try to not charge my device nightly. I work from home so it's easier for me to plug in during lunch the second day if I need a boost of juice. When I do charge at night, I use magsafe.
I have a 15 plus. 255 charging cycles and 95% battery health. They say it'll take around 1000 cycles to reach 80% health. At this trajectory it's going about that rate so normal wear and tear I guess. I also mainly use magsafe between my bedroom, office and car. The few times I use the usbc port to charge is if I need a quick top up before I head out and I'm low or if I'm traveling and it's more convenient to just pack a brick and usbc wire.
iPhone 15 Pro Max, 100%, 126 cycles, 5 watt wireless-charging only, 80% maximum charge. Bought October 2023. I think the main problem is the high temperature that a device can reach while charging - regardless of iOS oder android. This is immense stress for the battery’s chemistry.
Bro plz tell me the way how can we charge 15 pro max with 5 watt adapter because it comes with type c port and 5 watt adapter comes with usb port..plz tell me.
I have a 14 pro max and it’s sitting at 88 percent battery capacity. I charge mine about every two days and have it set to optimized charging since I got it in September 2022. I’ve really had no issues with battery and I keep the always on display off and it’s saved me a lot of battery, found that out in an experiment I ran, hopefully they’ll get everything situated and fixed in the 16 series and iOS 18
Got my 15 Pro on release day. I put it on MagSafe Duo every night. 204 cycles and still 100% capacity! I rarely charge it throughout the day, a full charge gets me through. I keep all the smart management on, etc.
All the things you pointed out made sense. The more you use then the more you’ll charge which will degrade the battery over time. I’m glad you pointed out that as you’re a content creator you will download betas more and that’s what most tech content creators do and I definitely think that is the main reason to the battery health decreasing. I have a 14 Pro Max and have had it since launch and the battery health was 100% for almost a full year. This past year it has gone down to 88%. Still good and lasts me throughout the day but it’s sad seeing it decrease lol. I will probably replace it rather than get a new phone but just depends when the time comes.
I'm using the 15-pro max and my battery heath is at 94% I'm on IOS 18.0 Right now. however, i can't wait to get the 7" 16 pro max with a 6.9" screen or display basically 7" iPhone 16 pro max with a 7" display if you think about it
I have iPhone 15 Pro since December, 205 cycles and 99% battery health. Wired charging, 20W PD adapter, iOS 18 beta, MagSafe only with wireless battery back while traveling or on trip.
15 Pro, got it on launch day currently: 98% at 260 cycle count I use both magsafe & USB C to charge, BUT mainly USB C mainly watching youtube and light gaming
I saw a reel on Instagram showing how a guy is struggling with old 3.5 mm earpods to connect to his iPhone 15, 1st using a 3.5 mm to lightning port convertor which he must have bought after iPhone 7 and 2nd again connecting it to a Lightning to Type-C connector and iSheeps across the globe were making fun of him because he didn't have Airpods in 2024 which shows how Tim Cook has managed to manipulate Apple users across the globe how not providing a headphone jack isn't wrong and not having Airpods is a crime...... Like imagine the amount of control Apple has over people across the world 😮💨
My 14 pro max was down to 86% battery life in like 6 months, pretty terrible considering my iPhone 10 that over heated and froze for like 5 years on my dash board is still at like 88%
this makes sense i was charging wirelessly a while ago i lost 5% then started using battery bank when i sleep just plug it in and when i awake up its 100 or 99 after i started doing that i didn't lost a single % for like almost a year now so strongly recommend battery banks with the standard cable
iPhone 15 pro max. 90% battery health at 254 cycles. I primarily use an Anker MagSafe charger that can simultaneously charge the Apple Watch and AirPods. I’m also running iOS 18.1 developer beta. I also have a weakness downloading beta software on my primary device.
I really want to burn my battery down to 80% but I know they’ll want me to update to the latest iOS. I’m current sitting on iOS 17 (87% battery health) still hoping for a jailbreak even though I’m content with my side load.
@@tpc9002 update got my new battery from Apple my 14 Pro Max is like a new phone lasts all day! At 80% my phone barely made it past 3pm now it makes it to 10-11pm with 20% left
@@MaxDankOG what iOS are you on? The last time I went into an Apple Store the employee in front made it seem like I had to update my iOS before they’d replaced my battery.
My iPhone 15 Pro since christmas has 338 cycles and is at 92% battery health. I dont think the cycles is the worrying part, more so how the battery gets stressed. Im speculating my battery health is low because sometimes I sleep during facetimes overnight. Which absolutely COOKS THE PHONE. Other than that, my phone usage is normal. In fact I use my old X for media just to save my battery health for the long term.
I’ve been watching my battery health since this became a thing with Apple and i’ve pretty much boiled it down to this. I turn off optimized battery charging. Any battery regulator I turn off in settings. I charge my phone overnight every night w/ Magsafe. Any time i’m driving, i plug my phone in. I’ve been doing this for years now and every time I change phones i’m always left w/ above 90%. It works for me and I stopped feeding into the cycles. Too much to stress about. Just use your phone and MAKE SURE it doesn’t get near the last 30%.
My vanilla iphone 15 just dropped to 95% yesterday after just 110 cycles. To be fair. I rarely use it since my main phone is an s24 ultra. Not sure if 95% in 10 months is good or not (bought it October 20, 2023).
The 14 and 15 batteries aren't as good as before, I use 80% limit and have 99% after 10 months, 167 cycles. Maybe the cycles tend to be lower as well as percent staying higher.
So glad I bought the 13 pro max and didn't wait. The 14/15 have been so bad in battery health. We'll see if the 16 fixes that. The pro anyway. No one should buy the regular 16. No one. It's worse than the 15 Pro and max in every possible way. You are just better off buying last year's pro phone than this year's regular iPhone and pay the same or less for a brand new sealed one
I think it’s also because Apple’s software hasn’t been very well optimised since iOS 15. I noticed that my phones got very hot very quickly while using simple apps like Instagram, RU-vid etc. in past couple of years. And I didn’t install any betas on them
I was at 97 percent with 205 CC. Been very busy at a wedding ceremony and my battery died almost 3 times because I didn’t get time to charge as I usually do. Strangely I am at 225 CC and BH now dropped further to 95 percent.
@@AndrewClare Ok, thanks! I actually use Perplexity app for AI questions. So my main priorities are battery life, camera and software stability (like the 13 pros with the iOS 15 were)
Same as mine, i hv a 15 Pro Max and am currently at 98% health with 117 charge cycles, a week ago it dropped to 99% then im checking it now its 98% its absolutely bonkers!!!!!
I mean, just dont let your battery down to 0-20% then you're good to go.. personally, icharge my phone between 30-40% to 100%.. once or twice a day with that pattern lol
Using magsafe charger will degrade the battery faster, i was charging my iphone via usb c and only dropped 2 percentage in almost a year, start it using magsafe and battery percentage dropping fast.
15 Pro Max since it was released and still at 100%. I charge to 80%. I avoid MagSafe charging as it’s inefficient and generates heat. Most importantly, I ONLY use a 5W charger with USB-C connector. It’s much slower but it’s much safer and most importantly, no heat.
I still haven't looked at my battery health a single time. Unless I notice a dramatic drop in battery, I'm not going to worry about it. I watch a bunch of people freak out about one percentage point when if apple didn't give people the option to look at the number they never would have even noticed.
Great video 🙌. As for the battery health, What’s the issue? Your battery should lose around 10% a year that’s normal. You bought the device to use not to make adjustments. My 14Pro Max is at 83% health and in another few months I’ll just get a replacement and it’s back to business. My wife doesn’t run betas but I do and we have the same battery health 😂. Just use your phone
My 15 pro has a first use of September last year, cycle count of 306 and is now on 92%, I use MagSafe charging, use my phone a lot and have recently started downloading IOS beta. Not impressed that I’ve lost 8% capacity in a year but that’s just the way it is I guess.
I bought the iPhone 14 Pro about this time last year (I know, just before the 15s came out) and sitting at 92% for 100-125-something cycles. I am a heavy user and really haven’t been very careful to this phone beyond using a slow charger at night so that it doesn’t heat up nor stay at high charge levels all night. It often gets hot from my usage, which might explain the dip in battery health. To be fair, my previous iPhone 13 held up slightly better but not monumentally better, having 95% after a year and 89% after two.
@@FragrancewithSteve that’s the last time I checked, which is about 5 months ago. Can’t make a better estimation. I usually keep it on the charger all day.
Stop wireless charging or any 3rd party chargers !!! my 14PM is in 90%after 2yrs of use and early on it took a deep hit with dropping to 95% within first few months so later i decided to turnoff always on and used 4g instead of 5g so in well over a yr only 5% got decreased !!! Hope it helps
Don’t go with the metrics. Battery is supposed to get wear and tear over time. Expect it to degrade over the time. Change it when you feel like its too hard to manage. That’s all. I don’t get this battery health and charge cycles
My usage is the same every year and the 15 Pro battery has reduced to 89% whereas the 13 Pro was probably 96 %. 14 Pro was probably the same as 15 Pro. Both useless updates. And am guessing 16 series will be no better.
Mine is also at 89% and I used the 80% for almost the entire first half year… Well thanks to Apple Care I don’t care but still sucks. These batteries should last longer.
