Aint nobody finna jog around chasing dots and no squad / squad courts, when you can just walk into the theater and get games. Plus the park aint the same as the video shows… 2k really just a broken game with no skill gap… it dont feel good to whup people when everyone is whuppin everyone…. Bring back nuanced mechanisms and speed up all the animations… not just specific ones because then everyone uses the same sigs. Hate this company man 😂😂😂

Why play park and wait for games then play against ppl that don’t even want to play me? I think the game is too hard for bots/noobs. The game is too easy to cheese and score. Then these bots can’t guard it. Moves like Jamal Murray btb aint that hard to guard but I’m watching these guys get cooked by it every time.

Exactly cause wth hell? Stamina makes sense, but that should be a decent amount and not run out so fast…like it is in all other simulation sports games. If you have 99 stamina, then you should have 99 stamina… 😂🫱🏻💀

@@lockedapper facts bro the defensive movement in 2k16 is just way smoother than 2k21-2k24 put together when I was playing defense against the cpu on hall of fame I felt that if I guest wrong or over commuted to a side it was on me and I didn’t even get mad but this 2k24 when play defense and guest right you get pushed out of the play get called for a random. Fouls for just standing your ground and your opponent run into you yeah I why 2k16 in my eyes is the 🐐 goat

I cant believe people think this game is more realistic when standing in the paint and getting a contact dunk every single play is a "legit" playstyle on this game...bump steals are in the game... you can get turnovers from whichever of the multiple bad pass animations you get throwing the ball into another players body or out of bounds even with high pass acc...WE ALL have to use the same few moves because there are no others that are really good in game. The literal best thing they did to 2k in the past couple years is add the ability to hang from the rim...that's the most creative basketball minded feature they added since the ps5 and its crazy to say.

i was a kid but i can confirm that demigods did not run 15 like people try to claim they did. you rarely ever ran across them and even if you did it wasn’t some crazy cheat that made you win 100% of the games you played, you still had to know how to play the game. i’m convinced the people who say this stuff didn’t even play 15 they either watch videos or just go with what somebody else said.

Nighttime parks are cool, they handled them well on NBA 2K17, the lighting was nice in sunset & Old Town. the key to nighttime parks is just the lighting, if the court got enough light to then it’s cool. Otherwise ain’t nobody really hooping at night

Man the simplicity of the parks were really magical. Dribbling in the old 2k 2k16,2k17 we’re more skillful almost like a fighting game everything was chained. There wasn’t one move that was just effective u had to combine moves the problem was while people were doing that they were missing someone wide open. While I do think 2k simplifying dribbling helps casual they didn’t make it unique and creative enough with enough moves worth using. Have simple dribbling to get open for casual and then have unique combos moves that will be harder to master but make the moves effective. For example In 2k24 only move that I would say is advanced is the l2 cancel but u can still be effective without. But if u had other moves and more effective combo u wouldn’t see the same 3 moves.

24:25 2k15 I had ankle breaker on gold. I prolly got an ankle breaker like every 8 games( probably less than that) hence why I was excited when I saw them, cuz it rarely happened . Now you can literally break someone with a jab step😭💔 25:26 2k18 was unrealistic asf…I had a 6’10 pure point forward with a max wingspan and max weight …and still able to speed boost. Oh and the max weight was 275lbs😭. I shouldn’t be moving like a guard with that kinda weight

Exactly, I like to call it script gameplay… All sports games are suffering from it rn, it’s horrible. I mean, majority of the features in the recent 2k’s include gameplay that practically plays the game for you…we basically choose from scripts… Which script do you want to play with today?😂 It’s exactly why you can be unstoppable in one game with a certain match ups and feel somewhat fluid and fast when compared to your opponents because your script is more suited against your opponent’s, and then in another game not be able to do anything and feel slow and clunky as hell…it’s all SCRIPTED… (This is coming from someone that relies on speed, quickness, long length, dribbling, passing, mainly a slasher, that can spot up on open shots…it’s horrible for people that play like me…horrible) Especially passing man. This coming from someone that loves to pass the ball and set up my teammates, I take pride in it, and it’s soooo difficult to set up your teammates now days, sometimes I just get lucky…it’s so difficult. (And half the time my teammates don’t know what the hell I’m doing, they’d rather ball hog and chuck up some dumb contested shot…that’s how dumb most casuals are now…it kills my brain, kills it…I can’t play online because it’s soooo bad!) I have to basically turn into a ball hog, and I hate that…and even then when I score they don’t like it! It’s so freaking toxic man! Even when I start scoring and make them double and or help to open up my teammates and do, they can’t score off of open shots…they have to iso to score…they suck so bad.(I’m sorry, but it’s so rare to find someone that knows what they are doing…) I’m a traditional pg btw, which 2k buffed pg’s in general in a major way, everyone’s a pg now…YAAAAY🤪😂☠️.(kills my brain) Basically no point in being my actual height anymore, no point in 6’6 and below… Speed does nothing, agility is non existent in 2k, acceleration is none existent, strength barely does anything, and vertical/jumping ability is none existent as well. It’s all about height and shooting or sniping really…wouldn’t call this games shooting, realistic shooting at all tbh. LIKE WHAT ARE WE PLAYING? CALL OF DUTY?!? Really? And some of y’all like this? (I’m sorry, but if you enjoy this you are not good at the past games and are more than likely cheating or using a zen or whatever you want to call it) That’s just the reality of it. Not to mention the hundreds of growing casual cheaters and connection issues. The gameplay is completely broken. 🤦🏼

There’s some things I disagree with on Swantes part, but as an OG park player he’s definitely hitting the mark! Majority of yall who are saying older 2ks aren’t realistic has either never played the game, or is straight delusional. It has nothing to do with “living in the past” it’s just pure statistical facts . Parks were realistic, more enjoyable to play in, affiliations back then genuinely felt like more of a rivalry than (Elites vs Rise). The rep system actually MEANT something when you achieved the next status . Seeing that legend (5) rep on your player was the upmost satisfaction . Everyone didn’t abuse certain moves like people do in 24. Yes, there were a few occasions where someone would cheese but you were definitely shamed for it and made it extremely hard to play with others UNLESS you ran with your friends, other than that you’re cooked tryna be cheesy with randoms . There were no VC ads pushing into your face every time you load into MyPlayer, there were many different clothing choices that made SENSE! No swimming pool floaties or big ass red boots or CROP TOPS! It focused more on ball than clothing. There WAS NO BATTLE PASS!!!! Battle passes RUIN games Idgaf what yall say . There’s so many positives about 15 you can say that you genuinely can’t in 24 .

I started to become good @ 2k on 19 I was elite 1 mostly but I was negative starting out (casual) (150 W - 279 L’s) type but I made a pure rim protector and had a buddy @ shot creator and we went crazy on 2’s. 22 current wasn’t bad tho

I watched this video when dude first dropped it. I kinda agree and kinda don’t lol. I think the game looked and felt more realistic back then and I was lowkey trash af. But I still had FUN even tho I was ass 🤣 I didn’t play the game enough to understand how to be good at the game. I started getting good in 2k19 (I didn’t even play 18). And then from there, I just got better and better. The game is easy now. I think when ppl say the game is more realistic now, they’re referring to the animations mostly. Like the dribble, shooting, layup animations. Not necessarily the “mechanics”. The golden era had way better “MECHANICS” which led to better overall gameplay. I was ass back then. If you weren’t just naturally good or put in the work back then, you’d get ur ass kicked on the game. Unlike today, a player can just pick up the sticks and beat u on some lucky cheese type ish. The game is definitely too easy now. When I’m competing against other players, I want my skill to be the reason I win. But now it’s so easy to spam or abuse a flaw in the game which basically ain’t even fun. The older 2ks had their flaws, but they were definitely better and more fun. Way more competitive.
