So important so u can achieve consistency. I'm glad u did this video. I rode my bike 2.5 miles today & then climbed a 🌳 that I haven't been 2 in 2 years. Followed that with 2.5 miles back to the car. I was less worse for the wear. Tuesday morning I couldn't even walk upstairs early in the morning. Lower right back muscle problem right above the buttocks. It happened on Monday after not being able to eat with gastritis. I went 22 hours between Sunday & Monday w/o eating anything but Altoid mints. I was weak Monday afternoon when I lifted something & pulled it. Not pain but I couldn't lift my right foot for days when I walked. Just kinda dragged it around. I was on the heating pad all week which helped so today was the day to build strength. A bike helps u build up w/o the jolting motion. I'm going to do the same early tomorrow. But it was so windy today that I figured that I would just shoot arrows tomorrow. I now have 8 Pandarus Icepoint shafts cut from 30 1/4" to 31 1/4". The bolts on the riser r turned out quite a bit so I don't want to do anything but train & keep my arrows long with 120 grain points in them. The arrows I cut r spinning great after wobbling when they were @ full length. I need to shoot the next couple of days to get ready for my next dozen bare shaft Icepoint arrows. It's going to get much colder in a few days so I'm trying to make hay as they say until I'm stuck indoors until it warns again next weekend. The shooting I was doing a week ago showed me how great these Pandarus arrows r. I didn't have 1 errant shot with them while the fat arrows where not very consistent. High quality carbon certainly makes a big difference & I've yet to fletch a single arrow. They r shooting great as bare shafts. Just need winter to end. 😮😅
what you are going through with the lower back, I know how it can feel. In 2013/14 I had a ruptured disc that was impinging on the spinal nerve. I would be fine then move the wrong way and it felt like a knife in the back. I managed to get spinal fusion in 2014 and it was the best thing ever. I have been perfect ever since. I hate shooting in the wind but only doing it will help get you better. I agree that the Panadrus arrows are great for the price. We are keeping around 25 degrees C here and will be for about another month until it starts to get cooler. Bit of a bugger you are getting another cold snap. Stay warm and I hope the shooting and arrow building goes well.
Yep, that is something I train to avoid. I'm 5 foot 11" & weigh about 160 lbs. soaking wet. I'm very flexible & only when I'm fatigued I lose strength & that's the only time I get sore. I have no pain in my back or knees my whole life. But your 🏡 will cool down if the furnace doesn't have energy in it. That's how my body works with the furnace being my digestive tract. My string settled on my training bow. The brace height went down to a healthy 8.75". I have 3 lengths of bare shafts to shoot. The tune is like what I had 12 months ago with my N3 limb setup. But with my long draw the 25" riser is more forgiving. I have a new Decut fletcher which is solid & should work just fine when I start fletching. My nocking point is just one tie in point above my arrow. When I'm further along in the process I have new nocks & I will crimp one on when it's ready. How do you keep your twist? when you put on and off your string? Since I'm always taking string off to storage I feel like I used different twists each time and I was wondering does it effect shooting with different twists?
I does affect it. I either use a paper clip to hold the ends together or I put a loop inside a loop and pull through. I will do a video on strings and try to show this.
@brookvalleylife724 that would be great, also I see that you have a lot of budget equipment like the pandarus arrows, and I'm currently looking at the pandarus champion but I can't seem to find a spine chart for that, by chance you can recommend a spine for me. Draw length is about 27.5-28 inches with a bow about 27-28lb
@@hi84690 Spine is a difficult one. I shoot a 36lb bow that should use 600 spine arrows at my draw length. However I use 700 spine and they work perfectly. The spine chart for the Champion arrow says anything between 900-700. If it were me I would go a bit weaker, so around the 800 mark possibly but you can never be too sure with spine and how you shoot the bow. Sorry I can't be more precise.
@@hi84690 Pandarus Champion have awesome specs. For a 27.5 to 28 DL, if you are talking AMO DrawLength, and not TRUE DL, then between 1000 spine and 900 spine will be bang-on for your needs, IF your bow is #28 on BUDGET Entry-Level limbs, at official AMO DL, AND your Champion shafts are NOT LONGER THAN 28inch, measured from throat-of-the-nock {{also known as AMO length}}.
