@@doreathaannhighsmith2808 You're so welcome! Great things are awaiting you bc your heart and skills will be an answer to many patients prayers, Beloved.
Age does not matter. I get pinned in 6 months and I’m 47 which is not old at all. I’m very seasoned already due to being a CNA II for over 15 years. After this , I’m still going further for my RN.👋🏾👋🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🦋💕
Omg I needed this! I’m 31 and I’ve been trying to get into nursing school for the last 6 years! I felt defeated! Life happened and everything was going wrong! I pursued it again in 2023. I got accepted into my program in July and I start my program next week! 🎉🎉 it’s never too late! And I’m sooooooo glad I didn’t give up on my dream!❤
Congratulations Shay! I've been taking pre-req's and hoping to apply for years myself and just got accepted to an accelerated BSN starting classes in October. Best of luck in your classes!!
@@ericg9092 Thank you so much! The best of luck to you on your journey as well! I know you’re gonna do great! When things get tough, keep pushing! It’s worth it!
Hi! Have you decided to go? I am 56 and am starting prerecs in January. I have been a social worker for many years and I am ready for a challenge and a new path.
I'm 48 and planning on going to nursing school next fall. I wanted this when I was younger but life got in the way. I have decided to take this road and trust God.I hope I'm not the oldest one in the class but oh well
I'm an older new graduate nurse (51). So I can definitely relate to this video. Keep them coming! By the way, your video repeated its content 3x (or ended every 4:02 minutes)
Thank you for letting me know. It figures that when I finally try to edit a video, this would happen. I'll figure out what happen so I don't do it again in future videos. AND let me say you are INSPIRING. 🙏👏👏👏
Ive been so Scared !1 im 44 , 45 in June. My oldest daughter will graduate 2023, SOOO Thinking about Nursing School Spring 2023... Your Video Has given me COURAGE !

Wow I am in my late 40s and am going back to school for Nursing- I am optimistic and understand that It will not be easy however it'll be worth serving others. I am ready!
I been in the educational field for 20 years. I need the career change. I am currently a Mental health tech. I really like what I do. I want to become a nurse. Thank you for the encouragement. May God bless you.
Just found your channel and love the message. I begin classes as an old guy after years of working as a respiratory therapist. :). Thank you for these words of encouragement!
45 about to turn 46 in May and I am very interested in pursuing Diagnostic Medical Sonography also thought about Nursing. I've definitely been doubting and thinking I cannot do it. One thing I do know for sure is that with GOD everything is possible holding on to him
You are a breath of fresh air my dear I have been feeling some type of way because of my age the clinicals is my biggest question mark. The younger students have been very encouraging to me I have not expienced any disrespect of cold shoulders I feel like they come to me more for answers since I am older idk but I really appreciate you I really needed to hear this I have been encouraged and I will complete this journey.
Thank you for this positive and inspiring video! I’m still working on my prerequisites, but I’ve definitely had my doubts since I’m almost 33. I’ve had anxiety about retaining all of the information, but my motivation is coming from a different place now that I am older. It’s nice to hear others are having the same thoughts. I wish you the best future as an RN! Also, your skin is gorgeous! 😍
I am 35 and in nursing school right now. I am in a direct entry NP program, but I actually fell in LOVE with bedside nursing. I am going to finish my program but I am looking soo forward to bedside nursing!! We are. not too old. I just know its important to eat & sleep well/exercise/stretch :)
I’ve been looking around for videos with this subject matter. This has been in my mind since I started school. You are right,an event made me go back to school and finish what I started.I will be 50 when I graduate in December,God willing.Nursing school is hard especially when you have to work, you have kids and other responsibilities. This is the best video I’ve watched so far!
I appreciate you speaking about the bandwith! I have sometimes throught about wether or not my memory will serve me. I'm 41 and have been a CNA and then an LPN. Just passed my TEAS and currently awaiting an admissions decision to a bridge program. Celebrating the milestones along the way, thanks for sharing your journey! Happy to see I'm not alone out here! 🥰
Thanks so much for the encouragement♥️ 36 and started prerequisites. I was nervous of my age. I'm doing this for all those things you said at the end and I needed this video♥️
THANK YOU!! Thank you so much for this video, this is absolutely what I needed to keep that motivation there and to keep it going. I am really struggling with the anxiety of it but your words of wisdom made me feel so much better. #PositiveVibes
Thank you so much 😊 I am a Mom of four, they are all older now and I am going back to school 🏫 at 40. I am motivated but I am just worried will I be able to manage my time enough to pass my courses.
You will definitely figure out ways to make it work as far as time management. Nursing school has a way of bringing out things in yourself that you didn't know were there. I believe you will do great!!!
Try not to feel ashamed. There are some nurses that make the much or less and we all start somewhere. If anyone should be ashamed it should be the corporations that pay their hospital workers less than what they deserve.
I am debating an accelerated RN program.... I already have a degree from YEARS ago, and need a life change. I have no experience and I am about to start my prerequisites for accelerated nursing programs... this is all doable right???
Very doable. It will be hard, but hard doesn't mean it can't be done. It's an adjustment and will be done before you know it. Wishing you well on your journey!! :)
I am 46 I didn’t graduate high school or go to college, was in special ed classes throughout my life. I have also have never worked a single day in my life (I mean literally never received a pay check from anyone) do I have any reason to believe I can succeed?
@@FutureNurseDee I hear ya.....I just have to get the finances to borrow for school and to pay bills since I cant work full-time while in program...Can I work 3 days a week and still do school? How hard is it to land 1st job out of LPN school?
That depends on your personal situational. I chose not to because I have 3 kids under 5 at the time. If I had a job, I wouldn't have had any time with them. I know some people who have worked and it all worked out. For me, in Cali it was hard to land a first job due to Covid and most likely even if Covid wasn't around it would've been hard so depends on where you live.
