Thank the government regulations on trade, manufacturing, taxes, raw materials, labor, etc. People blaming the first line cause they see need to dig deeper. There are many Why’s you could ask, and research, that would help it make sense.
@@RU-vidflakeland Everything is always an option on just about every F-150 trim to get a V8 but they’ve made owning a Raptor more affordable to more of an audience by attaching a V6 TT to it just so the average truck buyers can say that they own a “Raptor.” That is until you pop the hood and realize that they have a V6 TT Raptor and not the V8 Raptor. The V8 Raptors are well above the $100K price range.
Maybe with bells and whistles? I googled it and the starting price for the tremor is 64k and the raptor starts at 78k. On the tremor by checking every option it got up to 83k. Obviously the raptor can get really expensive.
@@zezoo2107 Tremor is better for towing and is a happy medium for those who want a weekender for some off-roading but also want a daily driver or in some cases a workhorse pickup truck.
The price difference lies in the engine. You’ll always pay a premium price for a V8 engine no matter what. It’s a waste of a Raptor to pop the hood and see a V6 engine. I think they should only come V8 but Ford makes V6 options available just to sell them and have them out on the roads.
@@DodgerFloof Dude… I know this. The whole purpose of the video is him saying how is it that a Tremor with a V8 is around the same price as a Raptor V6. And that’s when I said it’s because of the ENGINE. A V8 engine in the Tremor is the reason for the price being close regardless of the trim. You understand now?
@@EastonHB27to be fair to the other guy here, I have had a 2014 Raptor and a 2020 Raptor neither saw any real offroad time. I did jump the 2020 Raptor at 80mph just for I traded it in. Now I have a 2024 SRW 6.7 HO Platnium Tremor to tow a 5th wheel RV.
@@Illmatic662 lol! the 850k is a total joke. But judging the comps in my area, we’re for sure in the 170-200k ballpark. Which is still crazy in 10 years. House wasn’t damaged, just a bit outdated + old roof. I liked to say it was probably super nice in 1991! I live in extreme SW Michigan, only about 70miles from Chicago, and about 10 minutes from Notre Dame university
No but I do remember when us working men who use trucks for there intended purposes as in towing for work and what not, could actually afford a new truck easily but now they have gone up so high in price because everyone is buying them when they don't actually need them.
@@jd-it4on Ford F150 has been the best selling vehicle for the last 40 years. So everyone has always been buying trucks. Difference is the last couple of years the mfgs have decided to screw their customers and jack up the prices.
Prices are so different in Canada...that termor would be 88 and that raptor would be an insane 110 000... The dealerships want us homeless, but driving a Raptor.
How have we gotten to a point where vehicles are this expensive? Especially a gas motor? No way... as a whole people need to stop buging vehicles to drive the prices back down
3 years ago when the Tremor debuted I considered buying one. It snickered at $52k. It looked almost exactly like this one. I thought it was a bargain at the time since the ZR2 I had just looked at was the same price.
I wouldn't buy either of them, but if I had to, I'd go with the V8. I don't care how many turdos you slap on that thing. It's not enough motor for a full sized truck.
I’m not ragging on Raptor lovers. But for me, It’s not all about badass off-road capability or even horsepower for a truck. The primary purpose of trucks is to tow and haul. The Raptor is dramatically inferior at both compared to other trucks. For me, I really love my FX4 package combined w/ my max tow package; it’s superior to regular 4x4, but it doesn’t substantially reduce towing and hauling the way a Raptor or even a Tremor does. I’m not an off-roader; I want 4x4 for inclement weather and camping. Plus nearly 14k lbs towing. If I really wanted to spend Raptor money, I would have put it into a Powerstroke diesel high output Super Duty. But that’s why Ford has so many options, to each his own.
We’re in a time where everything is way overpriced, won’t sell well and then the manufacturer will tell us “these things just aren’t popular anymore” then announce they’ll discontinue the specific car or truck 🤷♂️
Depends how you option it. Tremor starts in low 60s, raptor starts in mid 80s. Not that hard to share if your youtube channel is about reviewing vehicles
God prices have gotten so out of hand for what is supposed to be a working vehicle. Take the Maverick, get rid of the crew cab, and extend the bed another two feet, keep the price under 30k and boom you've got what you need. Throw in an option for a manual and put the damn shifter for the automatic back on the column and the market would be cornered in a heartbeat.
You can tow with the tremor but not so much the raptor the Tremor is an off road package on top of a base lariat or XLT model while the Raptor is a tuned and calibrated off road machine. Not a work truck what so ever raptors can be useful for work if you work in the desert or somewhere that’s hard to get to
It’s ridiculous that Ford Trucks and SUVs are selling for almost 100,000 dollars these days. Obviously these are performance models, but it is still ridiculous.
Difference is raptor is not getting (as many) incentives, doesn't qualify for Ford financing specials, and few dealerships will let a raptor go for msrp. Tremor can be negotiated.
the vehicles are reasonable priced but people are not going to like to hear that but it is the truth. A lot of you guys forget to account for inflation when complaining about these prices. 83k usd in 2024 is equal to 66kusd in 2018. So when you say”oh in 2018 trucks were only 30k” you forget to account for inflation.
One has a V8. You Raptor up the tremor and superchager it etc. and have much more than the V6. Your paying a premium for a more durable engine on the tremor. Also the raptor V6 are only good for about 160k before a total replacement.
Not all car prices are crazy like ford. You can get into a Denali for 70. Unless you are planning on off roading all the time the Denali or even at4 is way more truck for the price. If you go the duramax rout it’s also way more reliable. Bet your cam phasers won’t go out on a duramax like they do on the eco boost.
Prices are also artificially high because of EVs. Every company (even the big three) are pouring money into development and production of EVs which still aren’t profitable. if you purchased an ICE at these prices over the last few years, you’re also supporting the EV market. We need to stop purchasing all together for the bottom to drop out and have prices normalize. Sad part is, if this happens they’ll file bankruptcy, get bailed out, and our taxes increase. Go figure.
In the Netherlands a second hand tremor with 50k miles costs 83k. For comparison a hellcat costs 250k euro and a trx 160k. So have fun there in US, why you still can!
The v8 will last longer and is more reliable, cheaper to maintain but both cost way too much. In 6 years time they’ll be selling such trucks for $100,000 before dealer markups.
