I am a 62 year old and live alone, I started omad mid February and have found it really easy to maintain. My one meal is around 2000 calories and is made up around 10% carbs, 30% protein and 60% fat ( cheese, butter, meat fat, nuts ect ) Personally I find this "diet" the easiest and most enjoyable way of living, oh I forgot to add the large amount of Green veg that I always add to the meal. I have stopped all Sugary foods and all bread, pasta, cake ect I can Honestly say I have never felt better in Decades! THE BEST BITS? 26pounds lost, absolutely no hunger, no illness and I am fitter than most 30 year olds. I found it easy to start probably because I do (mostly) live alone! THUMBS UP FROM ME 👍
….unless medically suggested due to certain health issues, or a person has a hard time maintaining a healthy weight, I think the biggest misconception is that we need to eat three meals a day when in fact, your body really does better with one, and will be just fine
Practicing OMAD since January 14, I've lost 33 pounds, my skin looks amazing, my eyesight has improved and overall my health condition is getting better while practicing OMAD. Outstanding change to go on. Thank you!
congrats! im always curious when people do omad , what there food :window" is...and how many calories they get in...im generally eating in 2 hour window now to get enough calories in..but i want to get it say within an hour time frame. also im only making it until about 18-20 hours i need to get to that 24 spot!
Yesterday I completed 1 year fasting everyday. I’ve been on a OMADE (one meal a day everyday) for about 9 months. Tons of vegetables, tons of probiotic and prebiotic foods. Eating for a combined 3 to 4 hours a week and fasting for a combined 164 to 165 hours a week. Never hungry, always exploding with energy and walking an average 70 miles a week. My feeding window everyday is usually between 16 minutes and 45 minutes. Average would be less than 30 minutes. This is the best thing that happened in my life since the birth of my son. I’m having carb days once a week at 150g of net carb. While at 64% fats, and still I’m not getting kicked out out ketosis I live in a constant state of ketosis. I absolutely love this lifestyle Top secrets ACV, Sauerkraut, kimchi, dill pickles, Herring, kombucha first things I’ll eat Average 10oz a day of blended organic leafy greens Cruciferous vegetables 5 times a week O.7 pounds of cacao beans per week 2.2 pounds of dark chocolate per week No refined sugar ever No pasta No pizza No wheat One meal a day around noon time
I have started my journey on 25 March 2020 my starting weight was 197lbs today i am 180 lb , i am doing Omad with 60 minutes of workout. My goal is 150 lb . wish me luck
Good for You Janney, just look forward to being light on Your feet, no Aching joints and going clothes shopping 😁 Don't think You need 60 mins though, I would stick to 30 mins of hard exercise 3 times a week 👍
@@peterstratton4075 yep i am taking it easy now eating more calories and having more rest day's and my weight is now 166 lbs, 10 more pounds to lose to achieve my healthy weight goal. 💗
I'm 70 years old and have been doing OMAD for a little over 5 months and once each month doing a 36 hr fast. Down 55 lbs and 6inches off of my waist. Have been kind of stuck on the weight loss for about 2 weeks, but i feel great. 15 lbs to go!
Started at 313 lbs. Stayed on omad for three mos. Got down to 245 lbs. Took two month break. Back up to 260. Back on OMAD three days ago. Down 4 lbs already. Never going off again.
OMG...my husband has been doing OMAD for years and I always thought he was crazy and that it wasn’t healthy, but I’ve never been so wrong!! Well, looks like I’ll be joining him!! 🥰
Hello Dr. Mindy, I am from the Philippines and I wish I can join your community. I have been diagnosed with heart failure and the way the doctor delivered it to me is like a death sentence and it broke my heart, my spirits, everything in me. Then I saw and watched your videos and subscribed. I have started fasting only last month and the longest I did was 48 hours where I only break today. I have been doing OMAD for onky a week, since fasting last month I have lost 43 lbs, beginning at 215 lbs. I wish I could join your community but I am not ashame to say that I am financially challenged. I am crying right now as I type this because you changed again my outlook in life and you gave me HOPE again. By the way I am 51 yo and because of your videos, I have started to feel better and lighter and stronger. I hope that we will have doctors like you here in our country who really cares about the health of a human being. DR. MINDY, THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. ❤️🤗

53year old african american, doing 18-20hours fast with one meal and snack. I eat regular food (including fruits, bread, pasta and rice but small portions ) I feel good and dont even get hungry anymore. I drink coffee in the morning with cream and skinny syrup sweetner and will eat around 5-6pm. On thanksgiving I ate my feast with some desserts but that did not have any negative impact on my weight loss. I sometime plateau but i loose 0.5 to 1.5lb a day, and so far, i have lost 22 pounds in 3 months. I need to loose 20 more. I havent included any sports but plan to add that soon. I love this new lifestyle becoz, i dont feel the pressure of having to give up nothing I like
I worked my way up to one meal a day. I know it's not for everyone but it has been fairly easy for me. I eat 1,200 calories at 3 pm. I am pretty busy during the day and that keeps my mind off food. When I eat at 3 pm that sustains me until I go to bed with no hunger. I started OMAD this February and have lost 10 pounds this month already. I can't believe how fast the weight started falling off. I feel pretty great too. Good luck to everyone 💓
Any advice? I have caved in on day 4 Of starting with 19 hours. I was so hungry and had zero energy and felt miserable. I’m disappointed and hoping to start again tomorrow
I've lost 20kilos in less thank 5 months with OMAD. Went from 98 to 78kg. I'm 35 yo 1,84 cm. Sorry I'm from Europe we use the metric system 😅. Best decision I've taken in my life.
I made a CONSCIENCE effort to fast 18 hours a day starting about a month ago. After only a few days of doing this I realized I was fasting 18-21 hours naturally without having to think about it.
I am 61 T2 diabetic, and have been KETO for almost a year. I have seen an evolution of what I do and now do OMAD. The true benefit for this, for me has been my gastroparesis. I have trouble digesting food and OMAD is MAGICAL in giving my stomach the time it needs to digest my food. Eating many small meals a day did not work. I walked around with bricks in my stomach. I have in the last year (OMAD for the last month) gotten great results in my liver health, my digestion, I have been taken off of several medications, my A1C the last two readings has been 4.8 and 4.7. Most importantly the inflammation -- I feel better = joints, bloating, you name it. I usually go easy on the greens because of the gastroparesis/have to be careful with my fiber but have found plenty I can enjoy. But I have finally found my pace to keep my sugar down, my liver happy, my digestion happy and feel better. Thank you -- every video teaches me something or gives me something to think about.
@@coffeecashcraze I do eat meat only.. I bit of cheese also. I was doing IF 16/8 for a year.. and lost 23 pounds after I switch to only meat I lost another 60 pounds.
I love OMAD. I never imagined I could do it but it came naturally without consciously trying. I am more productive, I sleep better, I feel so much calmer, I’m never hungry…the list goes on. Your videos are my next step. Thank you for being in my life.
They're jealous of people with good intentions, intent on helping others, unlike the pharmaceutical industry, whose mentality and methods are, "Gotta disease? Pop a pill," which virtually never cures a disease. Dr. Mindy's fasting advice for healing and medicinal purposes cuts pharma's profits down to oblivion if people take her advise and big pharma knows it.
On my 26th day of OMAD! I love it ❤ I don't want to to stop. This is my lifestyle now for my overall health. Was wearing size 12-14 clothes, now 10-12. Looking forward to wearing 8-10 clothes. Thank you Doc 😍 Mindy.
I am 68 year old male and have been on Keto 1 year started at 326 pounds and now down to 219 doing OMAD. Your advise and guidance have been helped me get to this point, blood pressure now down to normal and joint pain greatly improved.
June Mboniso hey big sis!!! Isn’t this the second time we’ve found each other online 🤪! I ate like a piglet during week 2 of lockdown so am trying to recalibrate my eating patterns.... thank heavens for Dr Pelz, I was in real trouble!
OMAD is life changing. Literally. I started a more intentional ketogenic eating lifestyle in Jan 2020 and ramped it up with IF, specifically OMAD in Mar 2020 and I went from 285 lbs to 225 lbs. The combination of 'clean' keto and IF is the magic bullet for your body to assume it's optimal health and size. I hope this helps maybe one person. God Bless!
I started OMAD on 6/15/21 and I was 103kg it's 07/20/21 and I'm 89.1kg now. I have never been better my whole life. My food capacity intake has greatly decreased and I feel full with much less. I've cut all sugar and all carbs. Only greens, lean beef and chicken, coffee, water, green tea. My mother could hear me snoring from my room through 2 closed doors, I no longer snore. No one will tell me fasting is bad. FASTING IS POWER 🔥
I love OMAD!!! I don’t have to think about what I’m going to eat for each meal! Less cooking, less money, plus all the health benefits! I have more energy throughout the entire day! I’m much more productive! I follow the keto diet as well and again, I feel so much better overall! I gradually was able to naturally build up to 24-25 hours fasts! I set my goal on the Zero app and fast for at least 18 hours but many days, especially on weekends, I have found that I go much further and don’t even realize it or have to focus on my length of time for fasting. If I feel hungry that’s when I eat. I’m more in tune to my body and listen to what it tells me to do. If I’m not hungry and I’m busy then I won’t eat! But when I’m hungry, you better move out of my way because I’m ready to eat and will be done and full within a half hour! 😃
I don’t use “digestive enzymes.” My meals aren’t HUGE. OMAD doesn’t mean you overeat. I feel like my stomach gets full faster and I’m not hungry during the morning/early afternoon. I usually wake up, have a cup of coffee with full fat heavy cream and stevia. Then I’m good until about 1-2pm...sometimes 3-4pm, or later. I’ll eat a double burger with bacon and avocado wrapped in lettuce with tomato, lettuce, and mayo, as my main course, for example, then have kefir yogurt with berries. I will take my supplements after I eat, like apple cider vinegar and oil of oregano. I don’t have digestive issues. I just know that if I get off keto and eat sugar or pasta, bread, etc. I feel “bad” afterwards, like bloated and tired/sleepy from the high sugar, and the next morning when I wake up, I feel inflammation. So, for me, I have to mentally trick myself into not wanting to “cheat” by thinking of health and calling myself “allergic” or intolerant of high carb foods. Others can’t have gluten or peanuts, etc-allergic reaction/inflammation, so why not think of it in the same way, right? I’m processed carbohydrate intolerant! 😜 I eat broccoli and cauliflower as my main staple veggies. But will also eat green beans and salads. I’ve been experimenting with the carnivore diet as well just to see how I feel, if any difference. Down 35 pounds since January 6th, so I’m pleased with the results overall in just 3 months.
I began OMAD 4 days ago: I was worried that I would become unbearably hungry! It didn’t happen, I had the occasional slight hunger pang, I drank water and felt OK. On day four I feel amazing, more energy, more focused and generally well. I break my fast with vegetables at 5:00pm each day.
I have been doing the 24 hrs. fast for 10 days now and I love it! In the beginning I lost a lot of fluid, but I take electrolytes, potassium and other minerals and vitamins so no real issues with that! I eat a large salad with every meal which consist of healthy fats and moderate protein. My skin is glowing, eyes clearer, brain fog lifted and more energy and I've lost 13Ibs! Some of that is fluid but hey! It's a start!
@@maztergee I find that the best window is to stay between 12 and 4. If I eat earlier, I get hungry again and if I eat later, I will get bad heartburn.
I find that drinking a glass of warm lemon water in the morning staves off hunger for hours. I've been doing OMAD for 4 months. My blood work has improved immensly! I was dehydrated after 2 months but now I make sure I drink alot of water. I have lost 40 pounds and no longer pre diabetic. I eat alot of eggs (my cholesterol has gone down and good cholesterol went UP!) , lots of salads, salmon, keto bread by Keto King channel and I bake keto treats once a month. I also great myself to Keto Dalgona coffee now and then. Also, I drink Golden milk after dinner with lots of tumeric, cinnamon and ginger in it. I'm thrilled☺. For me, this is not a "diet, it's a lifestyle. Bye, bye brain fog.
Amazing health results! So happy for you! Im going to try OMAD. Warm lemonwater and turmeric shot in the morning, green tea up to lunch, coffee at lunch, some tea in the afternoon and eat at 18:00. Off course for every tea the same amount of water. Hope this will keep my energy up to be able to study and work out etc.
My eating window is 12pm-2pm. I LOVE it! My energy and brain clarity are through the roof. I have also cut out bread and sugars. I eat veggies and protein. I'm down 20 pounds today! Started 16/8 Christmas Day and naturally worked up to OMAD.
My grandfather is 98 years old and has been an OMAD guy for years. He could not recite any of the data Dr Mindy does, he has his own rationale but it works!
On OMAD, the first couple of days had hunger pangs, but it has quickly gone away. I love the simplicity of the one meal - easier shopping, less cooking, less cleaning. In fact, it really opens the day up not to be tied to food every 5 hours. I am 13 days in, and have lost 10 lbs. That loss rate will now slow I expect. I have been doing the 23 hour fast, but hearing Dr Mindy, I will extend to 24 hours, and then reset every few days because starting to eat today when I finished eating yeaterday means dinner gets later each day. I will reset on Sunday, which we call NOMAD day, when we can eat 3 regular meals (though actually, it turns out we only need two).
I am a 59.8 year old male. Exactly 2 months ago I started OMAD and clean Keto with lots of non-starchy veggies and high quality whole foods. No sugar, no grains, and the lowest amount of carbs within reason. I am losing weight (40 lbs. to date, target is 25 more), trying new foods, learning to cook gourmet meals, and every single problem in my body seems to be healing/reversing at a steady rate. I am experiencing zero digestion problems, I never get hungry, have 90% less inflammation/swelling/joint pain...even my toenails (fungus?) are clearing up back to normal. I am off the Lovastatin and Mobic, my blood pressure is down, blood glucose is down, and my ketones are up most of the time. This is the healthiest I have felt or looked in years. I feel 10 years younger in the span of just two short months. I would highly recommend this lifestyle to anyone/everyone. Also, even though I am buying and consuming the highest quality foods, I am saving a lot of money and generating a lot more spare time daily because I am buying, eating, preparing, and cleaning up only once a day instead of 3 or 4 times each day. Bravo OMAD Keto, a real life-changer!
Just started OMAD and have been doing this for 10 days and loving how I am feeling. I’m still keeping carbs and I’m vegan and feel great!! I’m so grateful that I don’t have to count calories and if I do it’s only to check in getting enough!! Still got to have my carbs.. ❤
I have tried to be healthy and loss weight for my health, but this time i am serious and this is going to be my approach, wish me success. I really want to succeed.
After 24 hrs of FAST: You’ll get: GROWTH HORMONE, KETONES, AUTOPHAGY, and INTESTINAL STEM CELLS! WOW!….THAT IS AWESOME, YOU ARE NEWLY TUNED UP AND OVERHAULED!
OMAD-24hr, has been the most effective diet change of my life. It has the swiftest results on all levels: mental clarity, mood, joints, inches, pounds - all of it!
Due to having high blood sugar, I started researching about fasting, started fasting and lowering my carbs intake about a year ago and for the past 6 months, I've been doing OMAD 5 days/week. At first, over the weekend, I went wild with all the food I craved during the 5 week days of OMAD but now that my body has got used to it, I don't feast like that on weekends anymore. I've lost about 15kg and now at a very good place with my weight, BMI and my blood sugar has come back to a completely normal level from my last check-up. Now, OMAD has become a day-to-day routine and not just a diet. When I feel like it, I'd throw in a 36-hour or 72-hour fast quite easily with very little struggle. I've become a lot stronger physically than I used to be. Even when I am in a middle of a 36-hour fast, I can still run 7km easily and remain active throughout the day with a lot of energy. I no longer throw myself down after returing home from a long day at work being all drained of energy. My mind is always clear and for some reason, most of the time, I'm in a good mood. I've become much calmer than before. My heart rate at rest is often around 60. So ... yes, after a while, the hunger wasn't there anymore. I've noticed that when I feel like eating, it's really not because I'm hungry but it's because I crave something and want to have it. Then, I'd just drink a lot of water or coffee instead and the craving would go away. Whenever someone asks me about my visibly physical and mental changes over the past year, I'd always love to say that I am the living proof that fasting is a miracle. I wish I had found out about it much earlier before reaching the edge of being diabetic.
I'm 71 years old. I've been eating OMAD for 21 months now and love it. The first two weeks were hard, but after that it got better and better. I sleep better, my mood is better, I rarely feel "hungry" and when I do, I drink more water and it's like a switch goes off and I can sort of tell that my body has switched to burning fat. No more cravings. I no longer struggle with my weight. I often work out in the 23rd hour and have plenty of energy. I cannot do Keto. I eat a wide variety of whole foods, home cooked, and grow as much as I can for us. I make sourdough breads and we eat a lot of vegetables. Also nuts and seeds, full fat dairy, small amounts of meat and fish, fruits, healthy fats, eggs... It's like the best kept secret ever. Great video!
Yolanda - Glad to see a woman my age doing OMAD, with results (w/o Keto). I've bounced around, trying to figure out which eating plan/pattern works for me. Currently, I eat breakfast and dinner. I don't have the right mindset yet to give up the two meals. I'm working towards it . I agree with you - whole foods, plenty of veggies, nuts and seeds. I do very little meat only for the b12, but I really enjoy a variety of foods beans, grains, taters, veggies, etc etc. Two thumbs up to you my dear.
@@nataliepastor1497 I had that happen occasionally at first and then I would eat a chunk of cheese. Be sure to eat enough healthy fats. EVOO, butter, coconut oil, non-hydrogenated lard. Avoid processed foods. Drink Lots of water!
After doing this for a while I am finding it easy to do. 24 hours is not hard to achieve and you really do feel amazing after. The meal is far more appreciated too. I love fasting its a hidden gem.
Doing 24 hours can't be done. Moving one hour ahead each day will eventually go into the night time. 23 hours is the max, then eat 1 hour. I do 23 / 1...every day.
I began eating at 4. One hour window to eat. Next day eat at 5, next at 6 and finish with 7. Then have a reset day or a splurge day or even try a 36 hr fast. This way I get at least 4 days of true 24 hr fasting per wk. Some days I can't be home by 4 or 5 and go 25-27 hrs of fasting.
At 7 minutes she says 23 hours is okay but you won't get the full benefit of fasting for 24 hours. If you're schedule doesn't allow this, then do what does.
I am on my third week of Mon-Fri (I do what I want on the weekends!) OMAD and I LOVE IT. I don't feel bloated anymore, I've saved a ton of money, my digestion has regulated itself and I've lost weight without even trying. I drink plain espresso in the morning, green tea or herbal tea in the afternoon and tons of water throughout the day to stay on a dinner to dinner fasting schedule. I haven't really been regulating what I eat for dinner but I have the option of taking it to the next level if I want! I am lazy and thrifty so this lifestyle is perfect for me!
started keto in march at 120 kg (264.5 pounds) and after one month started OMAD which i have been doing continuously. After months my weight loss slowed down so increased to one meal every two days.... now more weight has started to fall off. Now lost 23 kg (50 pounds) in 3 months ... type 2 diabetic has gone, feeling active, energized, with this unbelievable easy life style.... thanks for all the useful tips to keep it going. Learn by your mistakes and keep trying different things.. Also doing keto vegetarian - a whole new learning experience.
55 years old, male, omad. I eat at 9 am, diet is vegetarian, and lots of carbs. I walk 3 hours every morning starting at about my 21st hour of fast. My energy level is very high from start to finish of my walk. Never feel hungry during my walk or before. Best decision I ever made with starting omad, highly recommend. Also, I did have fairly good skin but I have noticed much improvement lately. Doing omad for about 2 years. Good luck.
Ironically, my first 4 day water fast, didn’t see any ketones in urine test strips for over 22 hrs. Lost 11.4 lbs, 3 lbs each of last two days. Was exercising heavily every day. Then went straight to OMAD. Lost all cravings incl diet soda cravings, all hunger, any sense of appetite like I never needed food again even when I would delay my one meal on a particular day, didn’t matter at all. Went from 201 lbs to 170 now about 175. And I’m not keto do eat some deserts and fruit. At 62 yrs old set a personal record running in a 5k race, fastest ever by far, knocked off 20 seconds per mile, now in top 6th of men in same age group. Other benefits both knees stopped bothering me, old left hip injury 90% gone, sleep better, no dozing off or napping, resting pulse rate dropped to under 60, energy all day long. One thing for sure, never going back.
Wow, congrats Robert!!! That's freakin AMAZING. ps. urine test strips are not always accurate. Dr. Mindy recommends blood testing for most accurate ketone readings. See her fav blood meter (Keto Mojo) here: drmindypelz.com/dr-mindys-favorites/

Just starting the fat adaption still some time to fully adapt. The enzymes still need to develop which is just a matter of time. All the best. May the blessings be.
I started intermittent fasting end of January 2023. It is now middle of March 2023 so about 6 weeks. I have lost 10 lbs. I seemed to stall for a couple of weeks after the initial first week of weight loss but they say that is to be expected. Right now, I am eating between 1-2 pm which seems to work for me. I'm still full at supper time, and those "sweet spots" occur in the wee hours of the morning when I'm still asleep. I'm not hungry when I wake up and I usually have a hot tea to prolong things. I'm retired and keeping busy can be a challenge but before I know it, it's 1:00 pm and meal time again. Looking forward to seeing if this helps.
I am 54 and dealing with the menopause weight I put in, being on OMAD & Keto since the end of January 2022 and is finally working, I've lost 27 lbs., my skin looks amazing, health condition has improved, my thyroid value is finally in the right number and I am not longer prediabetic. I stop having my coffee first thing in the morning, I am having cumin seeds tea, lots of water and having my coffee with heavy cream few hours later. I tried 16/8 fasting and it didn't seem to work for me, until I found the video of Dr. Mindy where she talks about the 20 hour fasting being the best. Doing half an hour of yoga to help me sleep at night.
@@JanetReyesC Hi thanks for reply. I was sure she said cream was ok I didn’t realise it was a particular type of cream. I’ve not seen that here in the UK but maybe I just haven’t looked.
I have just recently started Omad. I have lost 12 lbs. but I have doctors that don’t really know about fasting or low carb for diabetes. So I am learning with all you lovely doctors on you tube. My doctor still thinks the trulucity is doing all the weight loss. But I am gradually trying to get off it. Off of the metformin. And I am so stoked to keep losing the eight. Thank you for the teaching I appreciate it
I love Omad! I’ve lost 55 pounds and maintained this loss for over a year and I feel great. People are shocked when they ask how old I am because not only do I feel great and have lots of energy, but despite my grey hair people think I am ten or more years younger. No puffiness on my face and I just feel so much better that I glow,! It took me a while to get to Omad. At first I worked my way up slowly but honestly, once you have done it for a year and a half, you don’t have that hunger. My doctor is extremely impressed with my weight and blood tests . So I say start slowly, ease your way into it, find support like Dr mindis channel and your health should improve drastically. Thanks Dr Mindy!,❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
White Wolf I think everyone is different genetically and age wise as well as where their weight is on their body. Surprisingly I don’t have as much sagging skin as I thought I would. I had a lot of weight on stomach but through dry brushing and autophagy it is not sagging as much as it was. And I had four pregnancies in the past as well. My inner thighs have lots of excess skin that doesn’t look pretty but I don’t care because I know I am healthy. Breasts a little saggy as well but I’m no spring chicken anyway! Check out Dr. berg on RU-vid, he has some videos on autophagy and bat wings (which I didn’t get too much of either). I use a loufa every day before I shower, bonus is that it’s good for immune system too. Good luck - you can do this! A healthier body is amazing and after losing the weight for months I couldn’t believe how different it is to not have that extra weight to carry on my body and walking and yoga is so much easier! Good health and blessings your way...

Gotu kola 3 times a week, acerola powder, açaí powder, beet powder, pomegranate powder, carrot powder, blueberry powder, eggplants, zucchini, and more. My goal is to eat the best I can have very single day of the year. I consume no sugar except for from the berries I eat. And once or twice a month I have a cheat day, where I will eat meats and sweets, but sometimes I will go 45 days without even doing that. OMAD makes everything so much easier. My feeding window yesterday was 17 minutes and today it was 33 minutes. I feel as if I have more time for myself by only having one big meal a day. Today I had 6 oz of organic frozen spinach, 120 g of organic broccoli , 3 oz of arugula, oysters , Sauerkraut, dark chocolate, 3 scrambled eggs , organic pasture raised, capers, turmeric coconut wrap from thrive market, 1 large avocado, 3 tbsp macadamia nut oil, 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, Spirulina,, Chlorella, wheat grass, moringa, maca, acerola powder, blueberry powder, pea protein (orgain) MCT oil 1 tbsp, goat cheese, almond cheese, turmeric, Spike, black pepper. Hope that helps, my mother is battling stage 3 breast cancer and so she moved into my place a year ago. That’s when I started following Dr Mindy, Thomas Delauer and Dr Berg. I eat every 22 to 28 hours everyday 7 days a week. My feeding windows have been short. My feeding window for the week totals less than 5 hours. My time of eating is anywhere from 9:30 am to 3 pm but most of the times I eat around 11:30 am and I’m done eating by 12:15 pm. I go to bed with zero hunger and wake up with no hunger either. When I eat everyday I’m far from starving. I could probably do a 48 hour fast twice a week effortlessly if I wanted to but with the pandemic I’m restricting it to no more than 24 hours and just 2 or 3 times a month I go for longer than 24 hours but I try not to and follow Dr Mindy’s advice. In short I am absolutely IN LOVE with OMAD
Wow Coy, that, is what I call dedication! I must say that I agree with your choices of food, I would say to anyone: No Sugar, No fructose, No Dextrose, have nothing to do with Corn, Corn oils , Margarine, in fact if it's been made in some factory, leave it on the shelf. Good luck with Your Mum Coy, I have heard amazing results from using this way of living! And judging from Your enthusiasm, I would say you are doing the exact right thing! Well done 👍
viviana bernal, yeah, I consume and average 2500 calories a day. Sometimes when my feeding window is about 120 minutes I can have over 4000 calories in 2 hours sometimes if I eat out I could reach 5000 calories in a day. Very common doing 3000 calories in about 100 minutes. I would say, it’s not just doable but incredibly fun and enjoyable to eat that much healthy food at once and have no worries about gaining weight (because of OMAD and what I eat) and having that abundance feasting feeling also. It’s pure tummies daily. It eating were sex, OMAD would be tantric. It’s so much blessing, so much fun to eat a big diverse meal everyday. It took me 3 months to fully adapt to the OMAD flow.
OMAD rocks! I eat EGGS, Beef, Sauerkraut, 2 medium Sweet Potatoes, etc.(Ketovore) I give myself about an hour feeding window to complete satiation. I am 62 years old and went from 188# to 155# eating this way. Feel Great!
I break my fast w a cup of hot bone broth. It takes off the hunger edge so I don’t plunge into my dinner eating as if someone is chasing me. Typically, I make my own broth, but I also buy organic store bone broth. Don’t forget to salt w Real Salt or another quality salt. After the broth, I’ll go for something super-fatty, like 4 pieces of bacon. After that ... I’m ready to eat. I’m now on Day 21 of OMAD. My goal is to do this for 30 days and then see how I feel and measure my fat/weight loss. I have 5lbs to shed and they had seemed stuck on w mortar. So far, 2 have come off.
For my one meal a day, I make it dinner. This way I can enjoy myself with my family. Typically, I eat beef for dinner and it is quite extensive. I basically eat until I’m full. I’m estimating that I eat a minimum of 3000 cals ... could be more with the fatty cuts I prefer. I do have a small side of romaine lettuce with oil, vinegar, and blue cheese crumbles. And then I have small serving of vegetables. I go to bed full and satisfied and don’t need to eat anything until the next day. I do tend to get a little hungry around a typical lunchtime, so that is when I have a black coffee, go for a walk, or distract myself. It is really true because in 10 minutes the hunger has passed. You don’t have to eat one meal a day all the time, but it certainly saves on meal prep and food costs.
@@mel.g.4595 Thank You for the details. Does this mean you DO NOT eat anything all through the day and just have a 90 minute eating window at night? It implies, you fast 22 and a half hour a day. Right?
I’m doing OMAD, and have found it to be the easiest way to lose weight (a pound a day). I mostly eat KETO, but I also do a veggie/fruit smoothie and don’t count the #s, but I always add a 1/2 avocado. My liquid in the smoothie is always water. Reset academy. Thank you for the video.
I’ve been doing OMAD for about three months I have lost 13 pounds. I’m 53 years old, I’m a runner and hiker but have struggled to lose this weight for about 5 years. Menopause has not helped but with OMAD I’m eight pounds away from my ideal weight of 135 pounds. Oh did I mentioned that I feel great and sleep better. I hope to continue eating this way for a long time. The information you provide has been very helpful to me.♥️
I have been doing one meal a day since the creation of yourtube I'm 52 going to 53 and people told me a look like 35 when I was 40 people told me I look like 25 yes you don't stop the aging process you slow big time the aging process. I fast 24 hours I eat one meal a day. That my current picture in my profile. I don't have wrinkles. The only thing I have for 15 years is my cholesterol 240 but again that's means my body is in perfect condition. You need to know that your cholesterol will be high in this life style. Your body especially your brain and your sexual organ works with cholesterol. 24 hour fast one meal a day is the fountain of youth. From A to Z. I'm executive chef with cookbook plubish in Amazon. Growth hormone goes 2,000% in 24 hours. Imagine. Thanks Guys.
@@vacancierpermanent1238 I us to break my fast with With a shake. 1 C coconut water 3 slices of pineapple 1/4 C of blueberries 1/2 C of frozen kale and spinach mix. Blend all and drink. Right know I break my fast with. 1/4 C of sourkrout with about 2 T of the liquid And a pickle. That's how I break my fast now.
I watched Keto rewind and she had a schedule for drinks...coffee with hwc, then at 10 had tea, Perrier at 12 etc while drinking water all along. I wrote out my schedule and looked forward to the next drink. This also helps you stay under 300-500 cal until your meal if you are fat fasting. Not sure if dr mindy recommends that on OMAD though...but the scheduling worked for me😀
I LOVE OMAD. And I toss in a few extended fasts anywhere from 3-5 days of water fasting. I have been doing the OMAD part for almost 2 years now. It fits my lifestyle, I feel so much cleaner on the inside, more energetic. I also feel this psychological shift in that the stress of healthy eating is gone. Years of feeling like your having to eat this way, no now you have to eat this way...blah blah stuff was weighing on me. It didnt feel right for me. I have never been a feet hit the ground in the A.M, have to eat type of person. I always struggled with.."I'm not hungry, why do i have to eat??" Now I have my freedom back and my body loves me for it.
For the past 2 weeks I fasted Monday through Wednesday only water, and then one healthy meal a day after that. I feel this is really going to help me get healthy
I started with keto for the month of January, 16/8 intermittent fasting March/April, Mid April i started alternating OmAD with 2MAD. And now i am at OMAD daily. I can’t believe how easy it is. I thought i would feel miserable without food but i feel great. I have gone from 166 to 151 (5’8) and i feel great. My favourite thing about OMAD besides weight loss is not having to prepare and eat breakfast/lunch. I sleep in and then go for long walks at lunch time. I feel very hungry by dinner but once i start eating i feel satiated with a normal amount of food and find it very easy not to over eat (which has been an ongoing issue for my life)Its a weight loss plan that doesnt cost anything (actually saves you money) is easy and can be done anywhere. I cant see ever changing this way of eating.
I am seriously considering this. I like to eat my first meal somewhere around 10 o’clock and I like it kind of big. Then I find that I have to force myself to eat anything else for the rest of the day because I’m not hungry. So I think this way of eating would make me feel better and be more successful that weight loss
I'm 52, menopausal, and I've been doing OMAD (started as keto and went to carnivore) for 3 months now. I love it. I have no cravings, and I'm no longer a slave to food. I was at 200lbs, now I'm down almost 30lbs. Not too shabby! I still have 30lbs to go.... After I reach my goal weight, I will add some veggies back into my diet.... I've noticed improvements in my skin, my sleep cycle has improved (still needs work!), I had pain in my foot and shoulder - its gone now... OMAD makes life simple
Dr. Mindy, one meal a day fasting has incredibly changed my life for the better, thank you, thank you for communicating so clearly on your videos. I lost 30 pounds using 3 and 4 day water fasting last year and kept it off easily using one meal a day fasting. Love your Channel! One thing that I had to learn the hard way was to not take all my 90 nutrient supplements in the morning on the one meal a day fasting, Now I wait until my one meal which is dinner and take supplements after dinner so all of the nutrients and food ferment in my small intestine at the same time, much better for me.
Just started; this is my second week of fasting and I love it! I’ve been doing 20hrs, but now, after watching this, I’m going to do a 24hr fast! The only issue I’m having is finding out how much to eat and what to eat, so this info has been great - thanks! Good luck everyone! 🙌🏽 xx
I like this lady very much. Positive vibes all through. I'm on OMAD/keto a few weeks now...lost the kgs I wanted to lose...I live in Italy..no pasta?...they think I'm crazy! Will continue....the secret was in the carbs then...
I think the fundamental physiology of fasting was discovered at Chicago university and at Chapel Hill UNC. Anyway, yes one meal per day and I chose the late meal because of the option to skip it and add another 10-12 hours to the fast and break it in the morning, or even go another 12 and make it 48. It is so nice, body innards feel great and it generated an extra 75 minutes per day of not cooking eating cleaning. So I can watch more RU-vid.
I am on OMAD for past 1 year n I am an ultra runner n squash player n I have been feeling good, my inflammation has gone, I feel light and energetic... I got injured in 2019, August, (plantar fasciitis) was unable to play any sport for 6 months, so I wanted to reduce my weight.. OMAD and prolong fasting helped me a lot. Lost 15 kgs in 2 months... As we all are not having very active days due to lockdown but still I am maintaining my weight by doing OMAD.
If your fasting period for OMAD is 24 hours and you eat at 9 AM on the first day, then your next meal would be at 10 AM the following day, and 11 AM on the 3rd day, etc.
I’m in my mid 60s and started Keto with 24 hour fast. I’m loving it and not hungry. I’m sure I could go longer too; but I only want to eat at dinner time. I would like to be invited into your private group please. I still have lots to learn.
I am 61 years old, I couldn't get my b.p. to come down and haven't felt good since last year after my covid shot, I started last wednsday going 16 hrs fast, then the last 4 days it been 1 meal every 24 hrs. wow yesterday I had more energy than I can remember, back to my old jolly self, my b.p. came down but my sugar has been runnin around 170 but I guess thats normal for now according to one of your videos, I'm glad I found your channel, you make it easier to understand compared to some of the others.
I love your videos Dr.Pelz. I share it with all of my family. We appreciate the awesome info. So top 3 benefits I see. 1- Clarity. Mind and spirit 2- More energy. Physically and mentally. 3- Food taste more delicious bc you only get one 😁
For the first time in 15 years my body poops consistently and healthy almost every day!!! I still can’t believe this has fixed my chronic constipation. ( it took 2 months of OMAD to repair) I still can’t believe it!! HEALTHY!!
Such great info! Started intermittent by accident with having young kiddos and not getting around to eating slowly pushing timing out. Last week tried OMAD for 3 days then on the 4th day went completely dry after seeing another video. During that 4th day I was wondering why I wasn’t hungry, why I was so relaxed and chill, and why I was so excited and joyful following a nap I had, and also how quickly my scaly cracked and bleeding hands had completely healed smoothed and softened in a matter of days with out using lotion and still frequently washing during this pandemic! This answers why!!! So amazing!!! Sharing with family and friends! Oh and also in my face my skin was glowing and skin tone even and bright! Dark circles under eyes lightened up major!
started 04/01/21 180lbs down to 176.6 today. I eat at dinner with the family. Husband likes to eat together at dinner time after work. SAHM to toddler. Some days are rough when kid likes to eat every couple of hours. Whatever I make for dinner is my meal. Not drinking coffee, I do like creamer and sugar so better to not drink it. Can't do black. Just water during the day. I like MIo when possible for flavor. Tonight is ham and potato soup. Have only been drinking 1 pop a day but have even cut down to 1 pop every few days at dinner. Celestial seasoning tea sometimes too. Berry is good. I just do light housework and walk 2 yappers a couple times a day. I am in my 40s and 5ft tall female. So have a long ways to go.
