I feel the exact same, but must important to me is the passion on the developers and the respect to it's audience being so organic, completly different from almost all other gaming development companies. They care about the experience, they care about the way they make their monetization, and never push casual players to do something unfun just to be part of the community, you can login for the first fucking time and there's that dude over there with 40 challenges in league and 8 challenges in ruthless, the MF can even be a Hardcore leaguer... he will have the URGE to explain and elaborate something to help you in your very first hour in PoE ever. That's unique, i've never seen or felt like that in any other game to be honest. ( Being myself the dude with 40 challenges XD )
@@rodelassan9637 I remember in my first league I was asking someone what build they thought I should try to have an easier time getting through maps. Guy showed me different resources and gave me a tabula rasa. I understood in that moment that I’d found a safe space. I thought that must have been one of the most expensive uniques in the game at that time haha
I just got into POE like a week ago, and not gonna lie it is intimidating, specially since I have never really played ARPGS much, but it also looks so cool, I’m making my own build just following general advise from videos like this one and I’m having a really good time so far, great vid man.
Thanks yo! And yeah I usually follow a league guide at first and then use the currency I make from that to try and hone my own build. But I haven't yet made a build from scratch that can beat a pinnacle :/ that's actually my goal for the league is to beat one with my own build!
Stick with it, it is extremely satisfying and rewarding once you start to understand it. And take your time, don't try to learn everything too fast. It's not going anywhere.
@@jaimerojas6578 welcome to the club buddy. I’m sorry you joined during one of the worst leagues, but you won’t understand it, which is fine. Just like I did back in a day, PoE was my introduction to ARPG and I couldn’t play any other ARPG besides this game.
Thank you to D4 for revitalizing the genre. Since D4 was so financially successful and so absolutely terrible, people are seeking out better games and discovering this one.
I tried and quit this game like 4 times. The league i made it to end game and have been mapping. I basically messed up a couple of things in my character but it’s fine. Thinking about starting a new character just to see what i can build no guide no nothing just develop something and keep reworking it every league. Or try something new
@@slkskate that’s what I do. I follow a guide, then try my own build. Then another guide, so on and so forth. It’s nice to see what combinations of scaling people use and what types of damage they stack together. Then you find yourself going hmm how can I add more damage to this build, oh I remember so and so used this ring to apply vulnerability and that could free up a gem slot, etc. So much fun to push yourself and that’s what’s nice about having such a high ceiling
To put it in simple words: The Atlas skill tree allows you to largely tailor the endgame to your own preferences. Get more of the content you like, get less or even none of the content you don't like.
Sorry man, while you may be partially correct, i disagree. Tha game itself in is great, even with the steep and long learning curve, but over time, you realize that the devs do not care about the playerbase, sprinkle quality of life changes with the frequency of an extinction event, and put out half baked ideas every 3 months, the reintroduce it sometimes years later, in a slightly refined form. While i may sound salty, it is from around 3k hours of playtime, and 7+ years of experience. Great video tho, from a casual, looking to sink a bit deeper than usual into a game standpoint, you are absolutely on point!

I don’t think it’s fair to call Settlers a half baked league, but Necropolis and what not yeah I can agree with that. I still don’t think it takes away from them as devs. I did mention they’re slow on changes, the melee totems for example. But I mean… the game is free and even with mtx and stash tabs they’re absolutely taking a massive hit from that, the game is strictly supported by players that feel cared about. I understand the doomer take but I’m also coming from a background of mostly blizzard games and comparing these devs to them is night and day
Imagine filming this in a league that barely gives any returns, ancient orb belt gambling had been shadownerfed, mapping is barely profitable, and all you can do is mf stack/bossing and crafting. For real?
@@Gjhfggdyyg 1. This video was filmed prior to the release of 3.25. 2. Currency is more accessible than ever due to the ease of liquidation via the currency exchange. I would recommend check out some beginner guides on how to be better at farming!
@@Gomdeezy accessible? Sure. Profitable? Not really. Also, I’ve got 4000 hours in this game, and I’m still pretty much a newbie, however I’ve been playing since the Abbys. The first time I crafted mirror tier items was when Harvest just became a thing(ye, not the bullshit that remains). Second last time I crafted a mirror item was last year when Crucible became a thing. I’ve got no problems with bossing, and yes this league has the highest build versatility in a while, and I’m ok with profitting off of a crafting, however before - the golden days - you could make profit no matter where you look at - any league mechanic, mapping, even the current league mechanic - now tho they all are barely profitable. Good luck on breaking even most of the time. Only viable things: stack of mfs, blessrng on uber maven, and crafting - all of which requires not only an initial investment, but a preexisting knowledge of game mechanics. Going back to ancient unique belt gamble - not sure if you know - but the “official” drop rate of MB and HH is still 2500~. I dumped 5000 ancient orbs to get a mageblood, 4 of my friends dumped 4000~ each and a streamer I watch used 8000 to get A SINGLE MB(HH hasn’t even dropped). Shadow nerfs has been a thing for a while. Long while my friend. When GGG sees people doing something they don’t like - they cut the rates, or lash out on players like in Mirror of Kalandra league. I love the game to the core of my soul, however things you are saying are simply not true anymore. Your information is stuck back at Harvest or even Delve league. Years had passed since then. Shall I continue?
