Why People Hate Yang Yang's Acting So Much! 

I love Yang Yang dramas no matter what other people think, I enjoy them!!!!!!

I'm not the sort of person who goes by an actor's looks and am very critical of them if they can't act. So my opinion is, yes, he is drop dead gorgeous BUT I also have enjoyed his dramas. And to me the word "greasy" is completely unwarranted.

He is a good actor, his dramas are good, "You are My Glory" is My favorite drama

If he is boring you, dont watch,it aint a must,us who aint bored can keep on watching, its about the character not the person

I like Yang Yang in WRTW. Apparently it's number 1 cdrama on Netflix of all time. That drama had me hooked that I watched it so many times !

Yang yang is a very very good actor, otherwise he wouldn’t have survived in this cutthroat entertainment industry that’s forever changing at a rapid pace for over ten years at the top. It’s just that like many popular celebrities, as much as he’s well loved, he also has a lot haters who usually criticize him on weibo that don’t even put in the time to watch his dramas. They themselves even admit it, like I haven’t watched he’s dramas but I just hate him and he’s acting. How do u hate or judge something u haven’t seen objectively unless ur just a hater. I’ve done some research and unfortunately most people like to follow the hate trend based on malicious editing clips created by malicious accounts and they just run with it for the sake of clicks and making money. Fireworks 💥 was literally hacked out of thin air. People are just jealous and scared of him cause he’s dramas are super popular with the audience and successful. The man himself has been standing at the top for more than a decade, more than he’s peers and competitors don’t like that, it makes a lot of people angry and jealous. Point black, they just want to get rid of him. He’s a very clean person in private with a very good image, so for years, they can’t find any dirt on him to bring him down, so acting is the only thing they can manipulate and maliciously use to attack him for 😅, but sadly enough, it never works cause he’s still popular and he’s dramas are still hits no matter how much they hack him. Funny enough, The more they hack, the more the ratings spike/increase lol 😂, If he was as bad as y’all make it out to be, would he have produced hit after hit for over ten years, would he be gaining new drama fans 🤦‍♀️ Ask ur selves. New comers come and go and only a small number can compete with him. That’s enough proof that he’s acting is good, and that a lot of people enjoy he’s acting. It means he’s doing something right. Im not saying he’s perfect, of course like other great actors, there is still room for improvement, but if anyone has been following him enough, u would know that he’s been working had and he’s still on the road to keep improving himself. Yes, There is a lot of work that still needs to be done and yes there’s still room for improvement in order to become the greatest and I believe he will be in the future, he’s still young and still has lot of time to achieve that, I mean he’s only 33 and has already achieved a great momentum, not everyone can achieve what he’s achieved, it’s all he’s hard-work over the years. Side note, I became a fan solely/entirely on his acting alone before I even new who he was, he was just so good and captivating as an actor and I’m a very picky person, not so easily impressed, I like he’s acting style very much and a lot of people I know like him too.He’s definitely way better than some over rated actors of he’s age that I wont name but different people, different likings. what u might not like, same else might like. Not everyone likes the same kind food but that doesn’t mean if u don’t like, it does not taste good. Everyone has their own preferences and interpretations of good acting. Objective evaluation is understandable But maliciousness under the disguise of evaluation is evil. Douban is a well know gathering site for sunspots/aka haters. Everyone knows that lol 😂 it’s a place where different competitor fandoms gather and form groups called team buildings to maliciously score popular dramas. That’s exactly what they did to he’s drama, fireworks oh my heart. They maliciously scored it all the way to 2.8 and most people in the comments didn’t even watch the drama. All the reasoning have nothing to do with drama its self at all 😂. It’s like a carnival. But again it’s not even only he’s dramas that get malicious ratings, it’s literally all popular dramas and popular actors, as long as an actor or Drama becomes popular. Hate comes pouring in for no apparent reason purely out of jealousy. Anyway in conclusion, Mr yang yang is a very good man and a very good actor. People should stop maliciously attacking him for no apparent reason, I was taught if u don’t like someone or something, just ignore it or move away from it. Find something u like, So those who don’t like him, don’t stare at him all day long nitpicking on everything he does. There are so many actors out there, go find the one u like and free ur self and be happy lol. Let my boy be in peace and do what he likes and enjoy the fruits of he’s labor. Y’all stop trying to find ways to defame he’s character as well, he’s a good man yet people always creating random dating scandals for him and accusing him of being a playboy like 😅 y’all need to sit down. Stop shipping him with ur favs and then accuse him if he doesn’t date them, like wake up he’s just a good actor which makes him have great chemistry with everyone he works with. He’s that good of an actor 😅.

Yang Yang is one of my favorite actor.

I watch Yang Yang’s dramas because he chooses the script that’s not too dramatic, rather quite simple and audience could connect with it easily without much heartbreaks. He pursues the girl or girl pursues him and there is no chance of any third party in between. He gives his heart to his girl and girl also does the same. So, I choose to watch them again and again without any fear or loss of connection between leads. Eg: Love020, You are my glory, fireworks of my heart, who rules the world. Secondly, his dramas like King’s Avatar, Glory of the Special Forces are inspirational, which one could easily connect and feel. Emotions build make you watch them again. I could just say, he knows what audience wants, he knows why he is famous and thus works accordingly. So, he is at the TOP.

I liked him in You are My Glory, Kings Avatar and Who rules the World.

Its not about the looks that I became a fan of him its about the diverse roles that he has played. Just go through the acting career he has! Oh My God love o2o was best but in martial universe he showed a completely different personality even in the movie I belonged to you. And what about the King's Avatar, his goofy character was clearly visible in that drama. And you can't deny his great hard work in creation of dramas like Glory of Special Forces and Fireworks of my Heart His skills in dramas and his entire career just makes him.insane as an actor. As an artist he knows not only the acting but singing and dancing too as well as is good with variety shows and other activities. He is just an amalgam of various talents and skills that are hard to achieve by any other actor and I guess that's the reason we all love him!

Yang Yang is a decent actor. Often times I don’t necessarily blame the actor for delivering a non-convincing flat role but I blame the director plus the over use of CG technology. Actors nowadays tend to be “lazy” just like Jacky Chan describes them! They are not trained the same way than past generations and they do not care to improve because they don’t need to:; they are making money regardless so why do any extra work?

He is an actor that I like and gives positive energy. And there are two new works that are worth following: 1.reinforcements comes tomorrow 2.The Lmmortal Ascension

How much you were paid by writing such nonsense? I really found no problem with Yang Yang's acting skills, the characters he portrayed are so memorable, Xiao Nei in "Love O2O", Ye Xiu in "The King's Avatar", Yu Tu in "You are My Glory", Yan Po Yue in "Glory of Special Forces", Feng Lanxi in "Who Rules the World" and Song Yan in "Fireworks of My Heart". The number of views of his dramas either broke historical records or top 1 for the year of the streaming platforms. So use your brain! If his acting skills are bad, I do not believe his dramas would get such high no. of views for the last 8 or 9 years, people will stop watching long ago. If you do not like his acting skills, then you are just the minority!

An actor who makes you feel the character's emotions & stir your heart through the performance is a good actor, That's the type of actor Yang Yang is. People often overlook his acting skills bcz they are distracted by his godly face. that's the truth😭 Not everytime exaggerated emotions and overacting = good actor. I bet the ones who comment bad about him only watched Love o2o, and maybe You are my glory. I suggest you to try his other dramas like Glory of special forces, who rules the world, the kings avatar etc. Or haters just touch some grass.

Yang Yang is by no means the best actor out there, but he is not that bad. Agree that he needs to diversify the roles he takes in the future if he wants to be a better actor. YAMG still remains as Yang Yang's best work so far for me, as he was even able to express the subtle feelings of Yu Tu, and his chemistry with Dilraba is no joke.

I've watched Who Rules the World and Love O2O. Loved him in both. I did notice that his posture was kinda rigid in both and expressions were similar, but it was perfect for the characters persona as ocd, wanting to always be in control. I haven't watched the Fireworks one, so I can't give an opinion on that. But I love him in what have watched.

I only listened to a few seconds of the video. Yang yang is not cringe or whatever you call him! I only discovered him after watching who rules the world. I never thought I'd be able to watch him in anything else but watched martial universe I see him in a whole new light. He was rigid and staunch in who rules the world( what a prince should be) but in marital universe at first I couldn't stand to watch this quirky yang yang but he win me over in the end! Hie is a comic talent as well as dramatic and all around talent! He is extremely talented!

Recently got to know wang hedi got massive backlash from netizen for his weird stiff acting in only for love cuz director wanted him to act like that ( they rejected the idea of Bai lu & hedi for doing certain scene in different way he called it old fashion ), like didi had played rude king in LBFAD and he was quite good in that . So , I feel it's same with Yang Yang he got good director in you are my golry who was able to teach him how to do certain scene. Well I liked FMH, chemistry between both yang yang & wang churan was good & over all plot of drama was really nice. 😊

I do really like what Yang Yang does on screen). I even was going to finalize Martial Universe because of him, despite the story itself is a little bit for kindergarden kids. WRTW, You are my glory are amazing and his characters are really good and deep. I havent seen Fireworks of My Heart but going to and again because of Yang Yang. I personally like exactly the way as he with the slightest movement of his face changes the situation a lot.

Yang Yang is an excellent actor without a doubt and beautiful. But he has to update himself since dramas today cover deep, natural and realistic themes, demanding more work in this very competitive profession. Exterior and interior beauty has to go beyond the screen. This is my point of view after reading comments from many users.

WRTW is my first cdrama. And he did a superb job that had me seeking other cdramas to watch. His facial expressions is the most captivating. Not everyone can talk in silence. The subtleness speaks volumes and i wish to see more of him. Why put down a great actor just bc he's not flaunting with loudness or needing to be different to be other people's cup of tea. He's a man of class. If u don't know how to appreciate his talents, then move tf on.. period.

Wow - what a bunch of crap. He is one of the most accessible actors of Chinese drama. Which is saying a lot, given how ridiculous most Chinese drama is. The heavy hand of the government destroys any chance for truly engaging drama, so, given the endless threat by the government, it is a surprise when any actor gets an international reputation. The old men running the place are just jealous. All the remarks about his acting are bull. Chinese Starlet is probably secretly an old man trying to act like he knows anything about how Yang Yang is perceived outside of China..

Yang Yang like fine wine improves with age. Admittedly some of his early work was lacking, but his latest works have shown improvement, with You Are My Glory being his best role to date. I will continue to support his work by watching it and I hope others will do the same.

Nah. Chinese netizens just like to troll and when there is a fire, they like to pour oil in it. Yang Yang isn't that bad. There are worse I've seen and they don't get the rough treatment. He was great in YAMG and I love him in WRTW. He played Hei Fengxi very well, at first secretive, then competitive, then jealous, and lastly as a supportive lover. Just like in the novel. Sure he has some problems, esp. in the firefighter drama, but that script was problematic. The FL character was totally unlikable. His character needed to show more angst and I didn't think the chemistry there. Certainly, there were LOL moments, esp. the one where he was sleeping like a statue. Here, I would also fault the director for allowing this to get into his film, LOL. I hope YangYang will turn this tide of criticism around with his newest, the one about Immortality. They are keeping it very secretive, so fingers-crossed it's good.

I just have one statement.... I know that everyone has their own sense of taste etc...... BUT .... when it comes to criticizing another person and how they act, sing, move etc..... These people need to throw that attitude in the sewer. I will only say that ... Yangyang isn't the most untouchable actor out there ... there are only maybe 2 that I would even consider Untouchable actors when it comes to certain acting skills. putting all that aside... I've watched a few of his works and overall,as an actor, I like him a lot Most of these clips assessing his acting only talk of flops and analysis on them They don't talk much about ones that performed well. I hardly even see these mention Glory of the Special Forces. Maybe its not an Idol drama. I think the so called "greasy" parts are directors responsibility. Doesn't actors do what their directors want? And if what theu do isn't upto standard, doesn't the team chop those parts off? Redo them or just delete?

Well, I don't think it helps that he's basically type casted into all of the same roles. Whether he chooses that for himself or someone else casts him into it. He's always kind of that handsome, aloof, and tactical guy.

I've only watched half of the series "Fireworks of My Heart", but from my point of view, he really plays his role well. And he shows all the emotions that need to be shown. In fact, the female lead was so annoying... So I couldn't bring myself to keep watching it. I know that she is quite capable of showing a normal facial expression, but for some reason, when she was in the frame, she looked like she was asking to be hit in the face. Maybe it's partly the effect of the make-up, I do not know, but it's terrible.
