Lack of real tangible real life community is probably the biggest issue in America right now. Online communities are more accessible than real life ones, so what ends up happening is that very real human craving is sought to be satisfied online. People used to seek community in real life- for example church. With the rise of diversity and the media promoted rhetoric of do whatever you want, be whatever you want, has been taken so far for so long that people isolate themselves as they realize the greater in person community generally will not be accepting. More and more of these elusive communities, which are only possible online, then grow because these socially unchecked viewpoints grow unchallenged. It's why the rates of transgenderism has grown so much, they have such a strong community that fosters these thoughts and often times the real life tangible community of friends and family they already have takes a backseat to their online community silo. People throwing away their families for these online comms. And yes diversity is a factor because every time the American people start to assimilate with our new outsider groups a new one has been injected before we can fully level it. We can see it happen with black America which was finally starting to get it's grips in the then-white society, then our leaders opened the borders china. Then Mexico. Blacks and white start to get used to Mexicans, barely start to understand east asians, but before we really even start the cycle we're trying to integrate middle easterns; now we're getting a huge influx of indians and Venezuelans and whatever else all at once. People inherently prefer those they understand and they consider more like them but our country is not giving the American people time to adapt and even the immigrants too because what ends up happening is they create their own little silo communities in America only buying from others like them, upcharging other races etc. It's interesting how it seems naturalized Americans are struggling more with community than our immigrant Americans. But by the time they have kids, they'll be in the same predicament.

Strangers literally do not care about you. And many strangers on the internet actually want to watch you suffer and will burn down your life for their entertainment.

Yep, I am definitely guilty of oversharing online, and yes, it is definitely for the reasons you've discussed. I use the internet as a proxy for community interaction, and while it might not be the healthiest thing, it feels like something I need to do for the sake of my mental health. Additionally, since so many others are doing the same thing, it feels like many own oversharing will likely be missed or excused in the sea of everyone else's! :)

Wow, this was a well worded and thought out observation. Are you a therapist? You seem to me to have a therapists mindset of evaluation and psyche analysis.

I guess I over shared once on my Facebook because I’d heard something a friend had said about me and it upset me and it just seemed like that what you did but a few hours later I deleted it because it seemed too weird when I calmed down
